“we made a visit here to the ‘Big House’ and found it had a big soul and welcome too with its golden-apricot walls that gleamed proudly in the evening sun…we found such inspiration in our search for sensitive materials for number 5. Soft soft lime walls everywhere - vibrant and glowing, a true testament to their owners Nigel and Joyce. Touch, smell and listen to the walls, they are sensual, alive and exude the passion, respect and great energy that has been invested in them. It's what every building deserves and every owner too”. samuel + harris architects samuelharris5westbourneplace.blogspot.com/
Special Offer! The Lime Handbook has been written and produced by Nigel and Joyce Gervis, founders of Ty-Mawr ˆ Lime Ltd. It sets out to make lime more accessible as a building material giving projects a much better chance of success. As well as covering traditional applications with step by step application guides, it also introduces the reader to the latest developments and techniques for using glaster and lime hemp plaster, as well as limecrete floors and how to incorporate lime in upgrading the insulation value of solid wall constructions, new timber-frame buildings and in warm roofs.
