Elizabeth Lane Oliver Center For The Arts is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization based in Frankfort, MI.
Celebrating 75 years!
In 1948, the Crystal Lake Art Center was formed in Benzie County in a barn along Sutter Road. Since then, the Art Center has undergone various changes, losses, expansions, and rebirths. For seventy five years, our purpose has been to support and celebrate the arts and artists and to provide world-class art instruction to advance the skills of the next generation.
In 2011 we rebranded as the Elizabeth Lane Oliver Center For The Arts - a fitting name to honor the woman whose passion for art made the Center possible. Today our mission is to maintain an educational program and facility for the advancement of the arts. The Art Center works to promote and develop the visual, performing, culinary, and literary arts in Benzie County and the surrounding area. Housed in an historic LEED-certified renovated Coast Guard Station in beautiful downtown Frankfort, Michigan, we are pleased to welcome you and your family for classes, exhibitions, and special events all year long!
Become a member and make a difference in the community. We invite you to become a member of the Oliver Art Center! Your annual membership will support valuable community arts programming and help us accomplish our mission of advancing the arts and providing arts education opportunies for everyone. Memberships last for a full year and start at just $20 for students, $30 for seniors, $35 for individuals, and $55 for families.
Your membership comes with benefits! Receive 10% off of classes offered at OAC and invitations to members-only events. With your support, Oliver Art Center can continue to serve as a premier arts and education nonprofit organization for Frankfort, Benzie County, and beyond!
From the Executive Director
I am thrilled to be a part of such a vibrant and thriving arts organization, in a beautiful location! 2023 will be a year of celebrating art, artists, and the anniversary of OAC. I look forward to meeting each of you and welcome your feedback so the Art Center can continue to serve our community and be a resource for artists of all ages.
