Member Committee President Application 15.16 AIESEC in Nigeria.

12-Oct-14

Introduction Dear candidate as President of AIESEC in Nigeria 2015/2016, There are these moments when you want to transmit so many things that are going around your head and willing to transmit in the best way possible to encourage someone to live such an intense and impactful experience as I am currently living. One year ago, I had the mix of feelings if such a position was relevant and worth living for me and if I was ready to give the best version of myself for an organization that gave a lot to myself and many other people and the relevance that this organization has in the difficult moments the Nigerian society is currently living. I am waking up everyday with the happiness and hope that I want to transmit to each single individual inside and outside of the largest run student global organization. The reason I do this is because I truly believe in the purpose, impact and potential that this organization has and willing to unleash its secret to be known by everyone and enable people to decide if they want to take part of it or not. Each single citizen in the world should have the possibility to take its own decisions by knowing what is best for them. This will never happen if AIESEC is not well known among people and also if they do not know their needs. Here is where leadership plays such a relevant role, where knowing yourself is a key element to know where you are and where you want to go. To be able to understand others while you know how to transmit the right message and connecting and being responsible of the needs that surround them to see and act towards their contribution to the community, society or territory that they interact with. 12-Oct-14

I just lived a little over 100 days of my experience and it has been worth living while an unexpected adventure that you go through in the way you consider it is best based on your understanding and beliefs. This is why, from the bottom of my heart, I invite you to live your journey of uncertainty, the passion that will guide you to your destiny, to be bold and take actions that matters to the world, people and yourself while becoming the best version of yourself for your MCP experience and your overall life. Expand your wisdom, sense the vulnerability of the unknown, listen to your inner soul willingness and take care of the opportunities that happen once in your life. Spark the hope on others and yourself and I can ensure that you will create a footprint in these more than 60 years of history fighting for the leadership development needed in Nigeria. Sincerely yours, Tolu Taiwo President of AIESEC in Nigeria 14.15
