The Walled Garden by Julia Monro

Peacock Butterfly spotted whilst eating my lunch!

Sweet Peas for Mary Slade Today has been another lovely sunny day and I have been using the coppiced sticks that Roger has been making in the wild garden as Sweet Pea wigwams, three in all, in which I’ve planted some ‘Scarlet Tunic’ Sweet Peas, all Red for Mary! After I finished planting I even found a lady bird in The ‘erb’ Garden, on the sage plant, Mary I believe planted!

The Vegetable Garden I was also grateful to use the bean poles in one of the raised beds for some Sweet Pea Plants called Heritage Mixed. I’ve always wanted to use sticks rather than bamboo, its looks so rustic! Also I dibbed some holes for leeks which went in, hopefully it wont be too frosty tonight! Next job to sow some of the many vegetable seeds grow, which is always such a joy!

Each day seems to bring new delights as Spring bursts through.

The Magnolia Stellata Edwin got me for Mothers Day last year is looking magnificent at the moment.
