1. This offer is made up of two parts: (i) a 14.3% discount off the annual premium for a combined buildings and contents insurance policy; and (ii) a weekly treat of 52 Blockbuster vouchers for movie or game hire, or 52 Xtra-vision vouchers (for customers in Northern Ireland)
• Unlimited sum insured on contents cover – repairs and replaces your possessions if they are stolen or damaged. Although there is no limit on the total amount you can claim for, certain policy limits apply including single article, high risk items and contents in the open. See policy documents for full details.
2. The offer applies to new Halifax Home Insurance combined buildings and contents policies which are taken out either • at a Halifax or a Bank of Scotland branch; or • through calling us on 08456 08 02 62; or • as a direct result of a quotation obtained through either of these methods. It is not available online, and excludes landlord policies.
• No claims discount – if you haven’t claimed on your home insurance in the past, you may be eligible for a no claims discount. If you’re eligible, and haven’t made a claim in the last three years, you can also choose to protect this for an additional premium. Multiple discounts are applied consecutively and minimum premiums apply.
3. The offer can be withdrawn at any time. If a combined buildings and contents quote was obtained before the offer was withdrawn, the offer will still apply to a policy issued as a direct result of that quote.

– The discount 4. The discount will apply from the start date of your new policy, and will last for the lifetime of your policy (including subsequent renewals) provided it remains a combined policy and you do not make a claim on either your buildings or contents or any of its additional covers. If you make a claim, we will remove the discount at your next renewal date. 5. You can add or remove any of the additional buildings and contents covers without affecting the discount. 6. If you cancel either your buildings cover or your contents cover, or your policy in its entirety, the discount will come to an end straight away. Your premium will be recalculated using our normal underwriting rules. 7. The discount does not apply to Home Emergency Cover or Legal Expenses Cover. You can make a claim under these covers or they can be added or removed without affecting the discount under your policy. 8. If you move house your discount will come to an end.

– The weekly treat 9. To receive the weekly treat, you must hold your policy for a minimum of 14 days. Provided you have not cancelled your policy within this period, we will send you 52 vouchers, within 40 days of your policy start date. On each of the 52 Sundays following receipt, you will be able to redeem one voucher for movie or game hire at Blockbuster, or movie hire at Xtra-vision (for customers in Northern Ireland).

11. We will not replace any vouchers that are lost or stolen, so please keep them in a safe place. We can, at our discretion, substitute them with a suitable alternative promotion of similar value.
The £50 offer 12. If you are eligible for the above Free Day of Home Insurance Every Week Offer and your new combined buildings and contents policy start date is between 16th May 2011 and 22nd July 2011 inclusive, we will send you a cheque for £50 within 60 days of your policy start date. 13. If you have a joint policy, only one payment of £50 will be made and this will be paid to the first named on the policy. 14. You will not be able to benefit from the £50 Offer if you cancel either buildings or contents cover or your policy in its entirety before we send you the cheque. 15. You can only take advantage of the £50 Offer once. 16. If you make a claim you will still be eligible for the £50 Offer. 17. The £50 Offer can be withdrawn at any time. 18.
