They first caught our eye, when they collaborated with Rihanna.

Since then River Island has proven to be more then another brand trying to get attention. They are consistently giving us pieces that represents today’s trends while still maintaining the entire personality of the brand, “River Island.”

Style doesn’t have to make you go broke. This is a message that is being clearly being communicated as high-end designers collaborate with mass productive apparel companies to produce stylist ensembles. But companies, such as River Island is making their own stance in the industry as becoming one of today’s staple places to get all of the current season’s must haves.

River Island’s Women’s Wear Spring Summer 2014 collection brings a variety of what we see on the runway. Soft Pinks, Leather, Black, Print, and Abstract Designs represent some what is in the collections. Sportswear is now haute, so to speak.

S/S 2014, as Prabal Garung says, is laid back and fun. River Island creates a collection for the chic fashionista letting down her hair. Ready to have fun, showing her playful mood through what she wears.

One of the newest trends is promoting fitness through fashion, or shall I say, fashion through fitness? This season, Topshop and Adidas did a special S/S 2014 collection promoting fashionable fitness apparel. The Adidas logo, paired with colorful abstract, bright pastel colors and a signature black and white design.

The collection’s look book images features a model with underdone, wet looking hair and natural make up. The first thing that comes to mind is a marathon runner.

Fashionable fitness apparel could have a variety of benefits. Not only does it make going to gym more fun, it also motivates women to be fit. The bright and playful colors, artistic print and classic pieces such as the running shorts, sweat shirt, tank tops and running suit, are feminine, stylish and scream fitness.

PETER SOM S/S 14’ “Peter Som has loosened up,” says Style.Com.

Summer 2014 collection features, wide legged trousers, un-hemmed tweed shorts, bold prints. The line is representative of flawlessly stylish. Not quite simplistic, but not over done at all.

The pieces create shape. It is not just fitting to the natural contour of a woman, but depending on what she wears, can also create a complementing shape of its own.

My favorite is the Wide Legged Trousers. I am beginning to see a trend of incorporating styles from the 1990’s decade. The wide

legged pant was a favorite. It has always been a favorite of mine.

It has a certain attitude. Style.Com says that Peter Som could have pushed the envelope much further.

I however disagree.

I think

Som’s collection is a perfect balance, any further could have resulted in it looking over done.

ISABEL MARANT S/S 2014 Isabel Marant’s flirty but edgy style has caught the eye of some big names in fashion. The soft and rough undertones of the looks, expresses the strong, confident and feminine woman. No this woman is not trying to be strong like a man, she is embracing her own power.

Isabel Marant, most recently featured in collaboration with H&M last November is making waves int ehe fashion industry. We well received Spring/Summer 2014 collections has already captured the attention of major fashion media and retail outlets.

What we love about Isabel Marant’s collection is the femininity but edgy feel. The soft pinks, whites paired with frilled skirts, shorts, loose dresses with belts and textured fabrics are perfect for the girl next door who has a wild side.
