THEME: Rejoice in the Lord Heartbeats from your priest
13 December 2015 Fr Eduardo
We have many reasons to rejoice. Yes, indeed, there are innumerable reasons why we should rejoice always (3rd Sunday of Advent). There are plenty of excitement and anticipation in the air. The words of the Lord in the Scripture give us reasons for rejoicing. Pope Francis has also given us reasons to experience this rejoicing. In announcing the Jubilee Year of Mercy, I would like to share with you some thoughts from our Holy Father Pope Francis: ―It is indeed my wish that the Jubilee be a living experience of the closeness of the Father, whose tenderness is almost tangible, so that the faith of every believer may be strengthened and thus testimony to it be ever more effective ― My thought first of all goes to all the faithful who, whether in individual Dioceses or as pilgrims to Rome, will experience the grace of the Jubilee. I wish that the Jubilee Indulgence may reach each one as a genuine experience of God‘s mercy, which comes to meet each person in the Face of the Father who welcomes and forgives, forgetting completely the sin committed.‖ Yes, we have a litany of reasons to be glad at this time, either obvious and still hidden ones. But the word of God gives us the main reason for gladness: our encounter with the Lord this Christmas and everyday indeed. Some Notes: 1. Dawn Masses starts Wednesday 16 December 5:15AM. This is a very special time and a very special way for us prepare for Christmas. Come and join us. We have prepared array of liturgy, prayers and hymns, and a sumptuous breakfast in the hall for each and everyone after Mass. You will be delighted in these dawn Masses. 2. Perpetual Adoration in our parish has begun. Do make the time for Jesus… an hour at least, but spend more time with Him who loves you more.
.
Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year! God bless you all!
