We, as a parish, are embarking on a history in our parish - launching of a Perpetual Adoration Chapel. We do this because we love the Lord and the Blessed Mother. We encourage each and everyone to spend at least an hour before the Lord each day, or an hour each week in Adoration. The chapel which is located at the far right side of the church facing the altar will be open the whole day and night; entry to the church at daytime will be at the front door facing John Street, while during night time it will be at the side door near the car park ( opening and closing will be at the discretion of the adorers at particular hour of the night). We do the Perpetual Adoration in humble recognition of the Giver and Author of Life; we do the adoration in the context of the Eucharist; we do the adoration in the mind and heart of Mary our Blessed Mother; and we do the adoration in a spirit of reparation for the outrages and sacrileges done against the Most Sacred Body and Blood of the Lord. We just don‘t know the effects and power and beauty of Adoration of the Lord unless we do it ourselves. It is like sharpening our saw in the middle of work, or taking a power nap on a hectic day, or just replenishing our energy before the Lord, or just thanking Him for everything. In a most sublime way we just want to be in the presence of the Lord. In this Extraordinary Year of Mercy we desire to show the mercy of God in adoration. Fr Eduardo
