We continue our 2023-2023 Stewardship Appeal through which we give thanks for “grace lavished on us!”
How can you invest?
How will you share your time, talents, and treasure?
As of Tuesday, May 9, 70 individuals and families have pledged to support the ministries of SJLC, tying last year’s number of pledges. We will conclude this portion of our Stewardship Appeal at the end of May, so please consider how you might invest.
We have experienced the riches of Christ’s grace; together, we can share that grace with the world!
NEWSLETTER OF ST. JOHN’S LUTHERAN CHURCH
B.E.E.R. (Brother’s Engaged in Enriching Relationships) will be meeting on Tuesday May 18. We will change the venue and gather at Barrelhouse by Gypsy Circus at 621 Lamar St. This is just about a block east of St. John’s and Emory Place. Outdoor seating, cider, beer, and food. Please come and bring anyone who may enjoy our diverse and entertaining conversations.

Lutheridge Day Camp
WHAT: Day Camp attending Lutheridge in NC, without the overnight component
WHO: Preschoolers through 5th Graders, plus you can bring a friend! All the Lutheran churches in the area are participating.
WHEN: June 5 - 9 from 8:45 am to 4:00 pm
WHERE: Messiah Lutheran Church
VBS with Bible stories, crafts, music and games
WHO: Again, preschoolers through 5th graders, plus bring a friend! St John’s, Peace, Messiah, and Good Samaritan friends will join together!
WHEN: July 10 - 14, 9:00 am - 12:00 noon
WHERE: Good Samaritan Episcopal on Cedar Bluff
