You are invited to join the St John's folks walking in the Martin Luther King Parade on Monday, June 19!
We will gather at Chilhowee Park at 9:45 am and the parade steps off at 10 am. As you enter the park, you can ask any one of the volunteers for our assigned number in the parade lineup. At the end of the route, there will be buses to shuttle folks back to the beginning of the route.
The parade route is a couple of miles long on Martin Luther King Blvd.We encourage you to bring wrapped candy to share with the children who line the parade route.We will be carrying our banner proclaiming SJLC A Place Of Grace, and we would love to have a great turn out! This is a child and dog friendly event.

Join the St. John’s family in Sparks Fellowship Hall for the following business items:

• State of the Church
B.E.E.R. (Brother’s Engaged in Enriching Relationships) will be meeting on Tuesday, June 27th. Since it seemed to be a hit last month, we will gather at Barrelhouse by Gypsy Circus at 621 Lamar St. This is just about a block east of St. John’s and Emory Place. Outdoor seating, cider, beer, and food.

WHAT: Traditional VBS with Bible stories, crafts, music and games
WHO: Again, preschoolers through 5th graders, plus bring a friend! St John’s, Peace, Messiah, and Good Samaritan friends will join together!

This June and July, Adult Faith Formation will meet in its regular place and time the Fellowship Hall at 10:10 at look at the tenets of our Lutheran faith through Baptized We Live: Lutheranism as a Way of Life.
This is a GREAT place to discover what it means to be a disciple within the Lutheran tradition!
