tomorrow starts today 2019 marks a new milestone for St. Mark’s International School as we will be celebrating our 20th Anniversary. We are the first international school in Thailand to offer an Australian-Singaporean based program since our inception in 1999, and today we are the main school providing an Australian education system offering study programs which span from early years to secondary. Our educational journey has been extensive as we continue to provide a quality international program for the local and international community of Bangkok. Each year, our students achieve academically, attaining outstanding IGCSE results, winning scholarships and pursue further studies at elite institutions worldwide, including secondary and tertiary institutions in Australia, Singapore, the UK, Canada, and the US. During the course of our 20 years of operation we have grown gradually yet confidently, doubling in size in 2012 with the expansion of our Rama 9 campus. In 2016, we expanded again, providing secondary programs and offering the Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level qualifications. In celebrating St. Mark’s 20th anniversary this year, the time has arrived to take another significant step forward in securing the future for our young. The management of St. Mark’s is pleased to officially announce our plan to develop our second campus on Srinakarin Road within the next 3 years, and aim to commence the first academic year in August 2022. Once completed, our new campus will house both the primary and secondary sections. Please join us in ensuring the future of St. Mark’s International School in this next important stage of our school history. At this stage we are pleased to inform parents that we have secured this plot of land on the main Srinakarin Road in the heart of a bustling community and in close proximity to Seacon Square. Our new campus will have direct access to the new Yellow Line Sky Train which will start its operation in 2021. We are now in the process of finalising the architectural design for our new school building and once this is completed we will be presenting those blueprints to you for your consideration. With this exciting new school development project we would like to provide parents with more information about the expansion and would like to present this information in the form of a question and answer format. Our program enables students to learn with skills to converse, read and write in the 3 important languages of this region: English, Mandarin, Thai. Our students are able to use the 3 languages skillfully either in their daily conversations, reading or writing. Advanced Program in Maths and Science Where most schools offer more or less the same curriculum, we are different. Our program offers advanced Maths and Science curriculum where students excel with proven records in various local and international Olympiad awards.
Meaningful and Balanced Learning Experience Combining the best of Western (Australian) and Eastern (Singaporean) education system, we create meaningful learning experiences where our students interact creatively, as well as advance progressively under Singapore’s Maths and Science curriculum.
Excellent Teacher to Student Ratio We pay attention to details and our students are nurtured to grow spiritually and academically under the discipleship of caring teachers. Our excellent teacher to student ratio has contributed to a high standard of students outcomes across the school. Outstanding Cambridge IGCSE Results Our best IGCSE subject performers received a 99% in Maths, 98% in Physics, 96% in Mandarin, and 91% in Chemistry. Overall, our students have accomplished excellent results across the entire cohort with 31% received an outstanding A*, 62% received an A*/A, and 96% A*-C grade, a truly spectacular result on the Cambridge qualification, a qualification which is recognized worldwide by prestigious tertiary educational institutions. 5

Where is the location? How large will the new campus be and when will it become operational?
St. Mark’s Srinakarin Campus covers an area of about 5 rai of land. It is conveniently located on the main Srinakarin Road between Seacon Square and Onnut intersection. We plan to start our operation in August 2022.
What
is the distance between the New Campus and the existing Rama 9 Campus? How convenient will the new campus be for you? Our Srinakarin Campus is just 6 km from our Rama 9 Campus. It is very conveniently located on the main Srinakarin Road just 900 metres from Seacon Square with direct access to the Yellow Line Sky Train, which will connect to four other train lines; namely the BTS, the Airport Link, the Blue MRT, and the new Orange MRT Line.
What are our plans for the two campuses? We plan to allocate our existing Rama 9 Campus for the Early Years / Early Primary section, while the Srinakarin Campus will house our primary and secondary sections. At the new campus our extensive investment on the new building development is projected to meet all educational, sporting and pastoral needs and we anticipate growth and development in the years ahead.

What facilities will be provided at the new Srinakarin Campus? The Srinakarin Campus will feature a modern design with many novel facilities to help support student learning. The construction will involve a comprehensive development, which once completed will be the home to approximately 12,000 square-metres of state-of-the-art educational facilities. The 8-storey modern school buildings will house innovative and bright classrooms, science laboratories, an airy double volume library, a purpose-built Learning Innovation Centre, spacious canteen, in-door open play space, outdoor soccer field and running tracks, gymnasium, performing arts theatre, basketball court, a variety of music rooms, games room, table-tennis room, dance room, cooking room, Cambridge examination centre, parents waiting room, school shop, restaurant, and ample parking spaces. Future extension plan will include an indoor swimming pool. With these modern facilities, we believe that our students will thrive in this modern and conducive learning environment.
