This unit includes the necessary mathematics for modelling 2D and 3D shapes necessary for the creation of visual assets for games. Contents include: Introduction to Modelling Software; Geometric Models and Text; Mesh Building and Editing; Mathematics of Lines and Planes and Modelling and NURBS Surfaces. At the end of this unit the student will have acquired the responsibility and autonomy to: — choose the right modelling software fit for task; — develop an appropriately faithful model of a complex object. The assessment for this unit will be computed using the following weighting system: — 40% Assessed Coursework — 60% Examinations
