The aim of this unit is to introduce the notion of scripting languages and their use in the creation of advanced prototypes that can be used to prove concepts. The unit will enable the students to apply their programming knowledge to scripting languages while using third party libraries to achieve domain specific goals to create prototypes. At the end of this unit the student will have acquired the responsibility and autonomy to: — appraise the flexibility provided by scripting languages; — apply programming concepts to scripting language; — identify libraries to achieve specific goals. The assessment for this unit will be computed using the following weighting system: — 70% Assessed Coursework — 30% Examinations
