LE TEMPLE

La ville de Rolle n’eut sa première église bourgeoisiale qu’en 1520-1521. L’édifice se compose d’un clocher gothique de tradition romane avec une nef du XVIIIe siècle, l’étage servant à l’époque de grenier. Le temple fut affecté au culte protestant en 1536 et devint paroissial en 1621.

The town of Rolle did not have its first church until 1520-1521. The building consists of a Gothic bell tower in the Romanesque tradition with an 18th century nave. At that time, the first floor was used as an attic. The Church has been assigned to Protestant worship in 1536 and became a parish church in 1621.

Erst 1520/21 erhielt die Stadt Rolle ihre erste Kirche. Das Gebäude besteht aus einem gotischen Glockenturm in romanischer Tradition mit einem Kirchenschiff aus dem 18. Jahrhundert. Das erste Stockwerk wurde damals als Dachboden genutzt. Der Tempel wurde 1536 dem protestantischen Gottesdienst zugeordnet und 1621 zur Pfarrei erhoben.

Le Casino est un grand bâtiment datant de 1875 dont le toit à quatre pans a conservé une bonne partie des lucarnes cintrées d’origine. Il abrite aujourd’hui un théâtre à l’italienne ainsi qu’un restaurant qui dispose d’une magnifique terrasse avec vue sur le lac. Le programme du Casino Théâtre de Rolle propose des spectacles de tous les arts de la scène.

The Casino is a large building dating from 1875 with a gable roof that has retained many of the original arched dormers. It now houses an Italian-style theatre, as well as a restaurant with a magnificent terrace on the lakeside. The programme of the Casino Theatre of Rolle offers shows of all performing arts.

À l’exception du château, relativement peu de vestiges médiévaux ont été conservés à Rolle. Pour cette période, l’édifice le plus connu est certainement la Maison d’Allinges, que l’on peut dater, par son style gothique tardif, du XVIe siècle. Il s’agissait autrefois d’une maison fortifiée, située à l’intérieur du bourg lui-même.

With the exception of the castle, relatively few medieval remains have been preserved in Rolle. For this period, the best-known building is certainly the Maison d’Allinges, which can be dated, considering its late Gothic style, to the 16th century. It used to be a fortified house, which was located inside the town itself.

Mit Ausnahme des Schlosses sind in Rolle relativ wenige mittelalterliche Bauten erhalten geblieben. Das bekannteste Gebäude aus dieser Zeit ist sicherlich das Maison d’Allinges, das durch seinen spätgotischen Stil in das 16. Jahrhundert datiert werden kann. Früher war es ein befestigtes Haus, das sich innerhalb des Städtchens selbst befand.
