Ready for some Bridgerton inspired panelling?

THE POPULAR TV PROGRAMME HAS ALLOWED REGENCY-INSPIRED INTERIORS TO BECOME A VERY POPULAR TREND. PANELLING CAN CREATE A BIG IMPACT, YET IS RELATIVELY EASY TO INSTALL. HERE WE’VE USED A TRADITIONAL SQUARE, WALL PANELLING, WHICH IS A COMMON FEATURE IN BRIDGERTON’S FILM SETS.

ON THE OUTSKIRTS OF SKIPTON, THE HOUSES AT SPENCER GREEN BOAST STUNNING VIEWS. GREEN WAS THE OBVIOUS CHOICE OF ACCENT COLOUR WITH TURQUOISE’S, RICH GREENS AND ZESTY LIME BRINGING THIS SHOW HOME TO LIFE, WHILST GIVING A NOD TO ITS RURAL SETTING.

Feature walls big impact: relatively low cost

Us Brits spent over £110 billion on home improvements during lockdown, and there’s no sign of that slowing down. Wall panelling has emerged as a top trend - from Bridgerton style panneling to acoustic wooden panels, there’s loads of inspiration around. Or simply add a statement wallpaper to instantly create a focal point.

And if you’re active on social media you’ll see there’s a wealth of options out there with Instagram and TikTok users highlighting how much difference the addition of wall panelling can have on a room. And it’s cost effective too, just requires a bit of time and patience. Feature walls are popular in the lounge, and behind the headboard in the bedroomto the right we’ve incorporated panelling and wallpaper!

Door wreaths have become very much a part of our celebrations right thoughout the year, with Easter and autumn wreaths becoming more popular over the years. Christmas wreaths are said to invite the spirit of Christmas into your home and bring good luck. Below are a few of our favourites.

Deposit Unlock

WHAT IS DEPOSIT UNLOCK?

Deposit Unlock is a scheme launched in June 2021 in collaboration with lenders, and has substantially grown to now have over 30 housebuilders. It is backed by the Home Builders Federation and is only available on selected new-build homes.

The scheme enables first time buyers, and existing homeowners, to purchase a new-build home, up to the value of £750,000, with only a 5% deposit (terms and conditions apply. Please see our website for further details).

Festive cocktails

Basil infused, or a lemony kick - we’ll let you decide

BASIL SMASH

25ml Wolfe Bro’s gin (a dry London gin) 25ml Monin green melon liqueur 25ml Lemon juice 25ml Apple Juice 10ml Basil Syrup ½ of an egg white

Build ingredients into shaker tin, shake once without ice and once with ice to create the frothy head. Strain into a suitable glass and garnish with fresh basil leaves.

To make a cocktail syrup, simply dissolve together one part water to one part white granulated sugar and add your flavourings such as basil leaves or lemen zest, and leave to cool and infuse. Experiment with flavoured syrups such as hibiscus, lavender, and blueberry. Once infused, strain and store in an airtight, sterile container in the fridge for at least a month.

WHEN LIFE GIVES YOU LEMONS

50ml Lemon zest infused Absolut vodka 25ml Fresh Lemon Juice 25ml Lemon zest syrup 2 dashes Bitter Truth Lemon Bitters

Build ingredients into shaker tin and shake, strain into a suitable glass, garnish with crystallised lemon zest.

Eat, drink & be merry! Great Ouseburn

As we get ready to launch our newest development in Great Ouseburn, we’ve been having a look around the area, and we’ve found a couple of lovely local places to eat and drink.

Tucked away in rural Upper Dunsforth, Dunesforde is a boutique vineyard with 6,000 vines established in 2016. It is one of the most northerly commercial vineyards in England and has already received a WineGB award for its wine. Their shop is fizzing with fine wines including the lovely Bacchus, and classic cuvee sparkling wines. Dunesforde offer wine tastings and tours, and they have a wine bar serving sharing platters.

The village has a fabulous, award winning pub: The Lime Tree Inn, which is a family run country establishment offering seriously good food in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The menu is seasonal with everything made in house from quality ingredients sourced from local suppliers or their own kitchen garden. The inn boasts AA 5 stars and a cask mark award for the quality of its beer, as well as an AA breakfast award and AA rosette for culinary excellence.

To celebrate National Poetry Day and our new marketing suite opening in Armthorpe, we gave local primary school children the chance to win £1,000 for their school.

This year’s theme was all about the environment, and we asked local children to write a poem about nature, climate change, wildlife, greener living, or even their local area.

The winner was: Lily Ruslle from Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Primary SchoolWell Done Lily.

We received a lot of fantastic entries! We appreciate all the effort you all put in! Thank you to everyone who got involved.

Amanda carved and decorated a ‘day of the dead’ pumpkin for our Halloween competition and won £1,000 for the Wakefield Hospice !

Don’t miss out on our Community funding

In the last two years we’ve awarded thousands of pounds from our Harrogate and Wakefield community funds. Now, we’re back to support more local charities and organisations and we’ve launched a £10,000 community fund in Barnard Castle.

The fund aims to support as many local groups as possible, in the Barnard Castle area. Stonebridge recognise that the last couple of years have been particularly difficult for many organisations and

hopes to offer a little financial support to those who work tirelessly for a community scheme and whose funding avenues may be in short supply.

Applying to the fund is straightforward as the amount awarded to any one group or organisation is not set in stone and will be judged entirely on its merits.
