‘Your Beecroft and Cheltenham specialist.’ 2020 has been a year none of us will ever forget. Dealing with the many unique challenges caused by the ever changing landscape of the COVID pandemic has been a day to day prospect for the Leadership Team here at Stone Real Estate Beecroft. That said we are very proud to have been able to keep every member of our staff fully employed during the COVID restrictions including the fifteen members of the 2119 postcode community. We live and shop local and that too makes us proud. In these turbulent times, I would describe the Beecroft/Cheltenham property market as ‘resilient’. Sales of homes have declined somewhat as families put down roots and stay for a longer period, nevertheless there is still significant demand from families to take advantage of the excellent schools in the area and also the attraction of the village atmosphere of Beecroft and Cheltenham. The M2 and rail transport links are also seen as important factors for buyers. It is interesting how many buyers, and also residents, comment on the variety of cafes and restaurants in our suburbs. Any market projections are notoriously difficult, and even more so in these uncertain times, but I would expect property sales to marginally continue to decline in the next six months. The ongoing desirability of living in Beecroft and Cheltenham amongst buyers should underpin house prices for the next six to nine months.
