Old Dutch Foods Inc., has one of its modern facilities in Hartland, New Brunswick, where the company manufactures and distributes a variety of snack food products under the North American Humpty Dumpty brand name. This facility was experiencing an issue with their flooring due to unstable concrete slabs. Uncontrolled movement in concrete flooring can cause untold damage to vehicles and lift trucks if left unfixed. The customer was considering replacing the slab in an entire 6,400 sq ft area to fix this problem.
After meeting with Stonhard, they decided to go with the Joint Stabilizers, due to time constraints and no disruption to construction operations during installation. The Stonhard Construction Solutions team installed 103 Joint Stabilizer units throughout this facility, which will decrease vehicle maintenance costs and lower the risk of trips and falls. The entire floor, 26,000 sq ft, was then covered with Stonclad GS to give it a smooth, seamless, high performance finish.
