Stotfold & Astwick Local Plan
It was great to see the Stotfold and Astwick Neighbourhood Plan logo in print in last month's Stotfold News. To continue the updates this month we'd like to feedback on some of the comments received during the Stotfold Mill event held at the beginning of May. We wanted to give people the chance to think about life in Stotfold and Astwick and tell us what things they did and didn't like. We had a map for dots to be stuck on showing 'what's hot and what's not' . There was a resounding 'like' for the greenspace and walks that we have around the Neighbourhood Plan area, we are really lucky to have lots of footpaths and tracks provided by the Etonbury Green Wheel and people really valued this whereas there was concern over potential development.

Comments included: Like everything about Stotfold, good community; Save our natural greenspaces; I like walking down by the river; GP surgery is too busy; No more building houses.
We are at the stage in the Plan making process where we want to identify the issues that affect the area, be it economic, social or environmental. There will be other opportunities for people to add comments or give us ideas to feed into the process over the summer so keep an eye on the Stotfold Town Council webpage or Facebook for updates.
You could even offer to join the Neighbourhood Plan working group; we’re a friendly bunch and you’ll be helping to shape the future of Stotfold and Astwick.
