WELCOME

Welcome to the St Paul’s Events Programme for summer term 2018. The response to the publication in January of an events calendar for the whole Pauline and Old Pauline community has been very positive, and already large numbers of parents, Old Paulines, former parents and friends have attended events at School and in London. Thank you to those who have suggested events, curated them and, of course, attended. This updated programme provides plenty of varied opportunities to be active within the St Paul’s community. Professor Mark Bailey High Master

As the summer term begins, I would like to extend a warm welcome to our second community programme. Within these covers we invite you to engage with each other and with the School through a huge range of events; for the sporting, the artistic, the wine-lovers and the thrill-seekers, and everything in between, we hope you will find something to ignite your interest. Look out also for our ‘What’s On’ e-newsletters that keep you abreast of the full range of events on a monthly basis. Of course, if you think we are still missing something, or if you wish to update your email address, do get in contact at community@stpaulsschool.org.uk The connection with St Paul’s is lifelong. Whether you are a pupil, Old Pauline, parent, former parent, staff member, former staff member, Governor or friend, we look forward to welcoming you. Ellie Sleeman Director of External Relations

Pauls4All Pauls4All is the school’s collective charity endeavour. Headed by a committee of Lower Eighth boys, Pauls4All supports communities on a local, national and international scale through the organisation of charitable events and giving strategies. In the local community, Pauls4All maintains longstanding connections with various local charities, and selected Real Action as its partner for 2017/18. CALM, meanwhile, is the nationwide charity. The Pauls4All official UK charity of 2016/17, Refugee Action, was presented with a cheque for over £17,000, resulting from Pauls4All’s efforts that year. Further afield, the committee has organised the delivery of food to refugees in Calais, clothes to refugees in Iraq and Syria, and in 2016 linked with schools in the south of Sri Lanka, a connection which has seen Paulines teaching English in the country. Built on that success, a partnership will be set up with ‘Beyond Ourselves’, a charity working with community schools in Zambia. Pauls4All is a representation of the community-mindedness of our Paulines and the School’s commitment to supporting wider society.
