SALTWATER ANGLERS

The Saltwater Anglers are stepping up the game! We are going to liven up monthly meetings with speakers and prizes. More fishing events, multi-boat fishing days and maybe with enough interest an out-of-town fishing event.

Fishing has been great offshore. Red grouper opened on January 1st. Just when you thought you had to have a power boat to go fishing, all you sailors need to take heed. Captain Brian Hill pulled in a monster Gag Grouper while trolling under full sail near the end of the ship channel out of Tampa Bay late in December, while the Gag Grouper season was still open.

Sign up for the 2023 Spring Fishing Tournament on April 29th. There will be a limit on the number of boats. Get in on the fun! Boat, or no boat, let me know and we’ll find a spot.
