BROAD REACHERS

The Broad Reachers ended 2022 on a high note. We had our Annual Christmas Lunch and Gift Exchange! Kerrie at PAG provided us with a wonderful traditional turkey lunch followed by a delicious slice of key lime pie. Thanks to all who came and participated in our Auction Gift Giving tradition. Broads in attendance were: Mary Moosbruger, Carol Hansen, Barbara Arnold, Katie Rodgers, Suzanne Boohar, Tish Bowden, Connie Dubois, Carol Crawford, Charl Hadfield, Juliette Clark, KT Trudeau, and a special guest Mary Jane Peabody.

In 2022 we welcomed several new Broad Reachers to our group: Bijie Ding, Karin Fidrych, Dana Kollman, Gisela Marsano, Wendy Saks, and Robin Wilson. Other activities in 2022: We sent a team or five sailors to the Rainbow Regatta in April, hosted the Commodore Lucas Pram Regatta in October, Friendship Relay in December, and many fun sails around Bird Island and exploring the waters around PAG. We were also very proud of our FWSA Championship team coming in 2nd place in the FWSA Championship Regatta in October. The Broads did have a couple of work/repair days due to not having any wind or too much wind to sail. We look forward to an exciting sailing season in 2023.
