RV LAND CRUISERS
by Angela Kowalik, Wagon Master
During December, Ken & Corrine St. Jean, and Rick & Sarah Moseley took an RV caravan holiday trip starting first by visiting Stephen Foster State Park. The park is located along the Swanee River in the historic town of White Springs Fl. It’s known for their historic buildings and a museum devoted to the composer and namesake Stephen Foster (who wrote the 1851 song “Old Folks at Home” aka Swanee River, the Florida state song), and has an impressive Carillon Tower. But the main reason for visiting in December is to enjoy their annual Festival of Lights.
Next stop, Coastline RV Resort up in the panhandle near Apalachicola. There’s nothing like an RV site with a view of the bay! Nearby, they “dined” at a festive Mexican restaurant to celebrate Ken’s Birthday!! You know when it’s your birthday, there’s nothing like a fancy hat and beverage to celebrate!
Later, another stop at Marianna Caverns State Park before heading home. When you travel in the RV for the holidays, sometimes you need to improvise on your holiday decorations.
