AUTOMATION UPGRADES
Five Reasons this Must Be in Your 2024 Strategy
In the competitive environment we all find ourselves in today, competing for talent and technology, there is no greater time to plan for strategic moves to keep your company productive and efficient with an element of automation. Ensuring your plant is up to speed on the latest in automation will be vital to the future performance of your organization.
Everchanging Compliance Regulations
Whether you’re an industrial producer of food and beverage products, manufacture life-saving drugs, clean the water we drink each day or provide the electricity our homes and businesses run on, regulation is a part of your world. Everything needs to be documented, archived and audited to ever-changing specifications. Automation can let software programs do that work for you.
Workforce Shortages
It’s no secret we’re all looking to find the best talent and ramping up our workplace amenities to try to hire and retain them. Why not let a collaborative robot (cobot) or an industrial robot do the things no human really wants to do in the first place? Robots often do them with more speed and accuracy than a human can to begin with and with less wear and tear on the human body, saving healthcare costs in the long run. Automation on the production floor frees up the human mind to do higher level strategic thinking jobs while the production lines seamlessly run, making significant gains in production.
Improved Efficiency and Performance
True seamless gains in production come because controls and automation in processes can work overtime often at speeds and cycles no human can execute. Alarming technologies can be implemented into your processes to detect flaws a human eye could miss. Because these technologies exist, partnering with a system integrator who regularly builds technologies into complex processes will allow you to get the most efficiency based on the specific needs and outcomes of your particular processes.
Cybersecurity
The sophisticated nature of cyber attacks is growing by the hour. We’ve seen everything in terms of possible security breaches from a password written on a sticky note attached to a computer on a plant floor to machines that have not yet incorporated multi-factor authentication on their systems.
The way to be the most secure in this fight, that simply will not go away, is to combat it by partnering with the most secure technologies and by leaning on subject matter experts to help you. Automating your system with cyber secure technologies provides a major level of security if done well.
Competitive Advantage
If meeting and exceeding compliance regulations, battling workforce shortages, improving your efficiency and performance and protecting against cyber-attacks aren’t enough reason for you as a business owner or manager to employ an automation strategy today, then we encourage you to consider one last reason: competitive advantage. If you’re not thinking automation, you’re falling behind.
Companies looking to the future with a shrinking workforce and higher expectations from international markets will have to employ automation and digital strategies to keep up with the pace of technology and competing markets. This is an exciting time to shape the future of manufacturing and public utilities both in the United States and across the globe. The systems that operate the basics of our society are dependent on automation for the future health of our state and country and Huffman Engineering stands ready to help you along the journey.
My Two Cents on Happiness
In today’s society, almost everything is focused on ourselves. We think about what we can do to make our own lives better, often without much consideration for how even some of our smallest actions can impact others. While it isn’t necessarily a bad thing to look out for ourselves, at what cost are we focusing on our own happiness?
I was scrolling through posts and quotes online and came across one from Keysha Jade, someone I have never met, that I just couldn’t fully understand. She said, “Choose to put yourself first and make you a priority. It’s not selfish, it’s necessary.” I kept thinking to myself, “How can you not think of how your actions are going to affect someone else?”
Though I consciously try to put others first, I do have moments where I only think of myself. But, it doesn’t make me feel better. It makes me unhappy. For example, I’m terrible about honking my horn in traffic. But, I know that honking my horn is only making everyone around me, as well as me, upset.
While it’s important to focus on your personal health and wellbeing, it shouldn’t come at the expense of someone else. I once read that the happiest people are those that think of others, that focus on giving and doing for others. Consciously and actively striving for the benefit of others is how we escape the “me-society” that we seem to be living in. My two cents on being self-centered? Don’t do it.
Those we live, work and interact with are affected by our actions and decisions. From showing up to work late to forgetting to regularly talk to someone we care about, our actions impact more lives than just our own. Everything that we do impacts others,
regardless of if we want our actions to or not. No one likes to be on the other end of someone who doesn’t consider the impact of their actions on others. We don’t like to get the short end of the stick, so why should we put others in that same situation?
Though it’s easy to sometimes feel like we don’t do anything for ourselves, the majority of people are happier when they focus on others. The more you focus on yourself, the more likely you are to be unhappy in the long run. According to social surveys in the United States, only approximately 14% of Americans say that they are very happy. That number should be a lot higher!
Because focusing on others makes you happier, it is also a great way to combat depression and stress. Research shows that helping others makes you calmer and that those that consistently help others experience less depression than those who focus more on themselves. Acts of kindness, such as volunteering your time or donating to those in need, is one of the best things to help with depression and stress.
So, my challenge for you is to take the focus off of yourself for one month. Consider how each of your actions will affect someone else and think of others before you think of yourself. If a month seems like too big of a challenge, take just one day to focus on others. Spend one day where you think about other people in everything you do and you will be amazed at the end of the day at how much better you feel. The more we try to make other people happy, the happier we will be – even if it is just for one day.

Michelle Winkelmann BURNS & MCDONNELLTell us a little about your business. - We are 100% employee owned, where every employee of Burns & McDonnell is an owner and is dedicated to the success of the company. We are a multi-disciplinary engineering firm that supports the design and construction of critical infrastructure.
As a transportation engineer and project manager, I have supported the planning, design and construction oversight of transportation infrastructure projects from rural county roads to multi-level interchanges. Our projects support the transportation backbone of America moving people and goods safely and efficiently. Public health, safety and welfare are paramount in what we do. Our projects involve all modes of transportation from pedestrian and bicycle facilities to roads and bridges, to rail.
How did you get started in the business? - When I was growing up, I thought that an engineer drove a train, not having any idea what engineers did or what an engineering degree could provide. My now husband, Tim, was studying to be an engineer, and at that time in my life, I knew I wanted to be a professional at something. I thought if he can do it, so can I. Not really an inspiring story, but it worked out in my favor as I am passionate about making the world a better, safer place. What better career that one that impacts the lives of people every day?
I have had several large expressway projects that I was fortunate to manage over the years that physically changed the landscape and provided much needed improvements to our infrastructure. My most important achievement, however, I believe has been mentoring others and providing the platform for them to grow professionally.
Tell us a little about your family. - I have been married to my husband, Tim, for 27 years. We have two children; our son Max is a mechanic for John Deere and our daughter Faith will be a sophomore at Kansas State University studying agronomy. After over 20 years living in Kansas, we moved back home to Nebraska in 2017 where Tim transitioned from a career in facility management to work the family farm.
What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life? The day my children were born. They give me the will power to be an example for them to be proud of.
What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know? - We have 1200 peonies planted in our front yard, yes that is a lot of flowers and no I do not have a green thumb. Who inspires you? - My dad has been the ultimate example of honesty, integrity and a hard work ethic. He has always supported me and never placed limitations on what he thought I could do or accomplish, making me believe in myself and my abilities. He inspires me to never give up and take challenges and turn them into opportunities.
What local nonprofit organization(s) are you passionate about or involved with, and are there any special reasons why? - I am currently the Nebraska State Director of MathCounts. MathCounts is a national middle school mathematics competition. This is an opportunity for these smart, amazing youth to shine. Every year I help with these competitions, I am amazed with these talented students, and they reinforce how bright the future can be. Supporting and encouraging youth in STEM fields is essential to growing and maintaining our engineering workforce. We need to expose these talented youth to the amazing opportunities and careers in STEM fields.

Andrea McCarter CLOTHES MENTORMeet Andrea McCarter, Co-Owner at Clothes Mentor.
Tell us a little about your business. - Clothes Mentor is a women’s resale boutique offering a range of sizes and styles for all women. We buy your gently used store brand to luxury designer clothing, shoes, handbags, jewelry, etc. and resell in our store and online.
How did you get started in the business? - My sister and I are coowners. She was the merchant processing vendor for the franchise for seven years. There are 130 franchise locations around the country but none in Nebraska. We were both looking for more in our careers for ourselves and our families and believed it was fate that brought this franchise into our lives.
What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally? - Taking constructive criticism that helps me grow and tuning out the advice that doesn’t/won’t help me reach my goals but instead is provided to benefit someone else. Trusting my gut and not losing my own identity.
What has been your most important achievement professionally?
- I’ve been lucky to have worked with smart business leaders in a wide range of companies. Choosing my path carefully over the past 20 years gave me the experience, knowledge and strength to jump into business ownership. I am grateful for every experience.
Tell us a little about your family. - I have a wonderful husband, Dustin, who allows me the space to take risks. We have two girls; Johanna is six and Stella is three. They love helping at our store.
What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life? - I joined a networking group (CenterSphere) about two years ago. Our group of business owners and leaders meets every Thursday morning. I was there networking as an IT Recruiter, but along the way I learned so much from each of them. They gave me the courage and strength to start Clothes Mentor. I don’t think I would be here without each of them.
What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? - I’m passionate about my business so days off are hard to come by but I love just running errands with my girls, taking them to the park and simply spending precious time with them.
Who inspires you? - I am always in awe and inspired by other mom entrepreneurs who are doing it their way and putting in the hours both for their business and their family. It’s not for the faint of heart.
What is your favorite quote or the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? - The best piece of advice I’ve received is to focus on my own “Energy Budget.” I only have so many “energy points” to spend each day. Choosing myself over wasting energy on low priorities allows me to be a better team member, wife and mom.
What is your favorite book or the last good book you read? - No Ego by Cy Wakeman was a game changer for me.
What is your favorite TV show? - Schitt’s Creek. It just makes me happy - the show has a great message, and it allows me to take a break from everything happening in real life and be immersed into their hilarious world.
What is your favorite local Omaha restaurant? - Timber in Countryside Village is hands down my go-to night out restaurant.
If our readers would like to contact you, how should they do so?

Project Harmony Offers Online Safety Training
Project Harmony offers an Online Safety training that specializes in educating parents, caregivers and educators with the knowledge and resources needed to protect children from online dangers including predators, cyberbullies and threats related to gaming, social networking and mobile devices. Register for the upcoming August 21 training at ProjectHarmony.com.
As summer comes to an end and families prepare for the start of another school year, it is important to reestablish screen time limits. Creating appropriate rules and expectations around screen time may seem like a daunting task, but is critical in keeping children safe online.
Helpful tips for families:
• Use a social media or technology contract. Make sure to have a conversation so your children can understand the rules and have the opportunity to ask questions.
• Be clear with other parents. Make sure your screen time limits apply to other people’s houses.
• Have regular, ongoing conversations about online safety. A one-time discussion is not enough. Talk to your children about what they like to do online and what apps their friends are using. This way you can address issues as they arise, rather than being surprised by them.
• Monitor your child’s online footprint. Different age levels may have different levels of monitoring. This may mean reviewing the apps downloaded, following your children on Instagram or even doing spot checks of their devices.
Project Harmony grew out of the vision of several Omaha community professionals and advocates to create a better system of protection for abused and neglected children. To learn more, go to projectharmony.com.
CUES Encourages Fall Donations
As families prepare for classes to resume this month, CUES Schools encourages the community to ensure every Omaha student has a successful start to the school year with a gift. CUES, consisting of Sacred Heart, All Saints and Holy Name, serve nearly 600 students and anchor their Omaha neighborhoods. The schools create an environment in which important emotional, cognitive and behavioral skills foster academic achievement.
Currently, CUES is raising funds for a new Sacred Heart playground. It has been many years since Sacred Heart students could use a fully operational playground, and the last of its remnants were removed for safety reasons over three years ago. Students are better learners when they get regular physical exercise and recess. Dedicating time during school for play and burning off energy helps students focus and be more productive. It also assists with their social and emotional learning/maturity. An outdoor classroom will be a part of the new Sacred Heart playground. This will give students the ability to further enjoy the outdoors and to be educated in a safe, secure environment. CUES also hopes to open the new playground up to the community on non-school days or after hours, providing families and children with a safe place to play.
Your support can help CUES raise the remaining funds needed to make a new playground a reality for Sacred Heart students. Every gift makes a meaningful difference. Donate today at cuesschools.org/donate.
CUES is a bold educational initiative providing centralized leadership and governance to three elementary schools in Omaha serving a majority of low-income students and families.

YES Shares Kianna's Story on What It's Like Growing Up Homeless and Pregnant
Youth Emergency Services (YES), encourages those that are or know someone who is homeless or near homeless that needs help to reach out. They know how difficult it can be, having a firsthand account from Kianna on what it’s like growing up homeless and pregnant.
Kianna, having grown up in foster care, left at age 18 with no idea of how to take care of herself. She adapted the best she could, though she was still alone and pregnant. Also struggling with mental health, Kianna realized she needed intervention and asked for help, resulting in her admittance to a mental health program. Kianna was doing well, but was going to age out of the program quickly and needed to find an alternative program.
After doing some research, and looking for solutions to fix her immediate housing issues, Kianna found YES. She came to the Street Outreach Center looking for help and was met with open arms and smiles.
Being pregnant, the staff encouraged Kianna to apply for YES and Maternity Group Home (MGH). MGH program provides services to homeless youth, ages 16-21 who are pregnant or parenting and may not otherwise be able to access services. The youth and young adults live in a family-style residence for a maximum of 18 months and work closely with a case manager to set and accomplish goals. It was here that Kianna learned how to survive and succeed.
Youth Emergency Services assists youth and young adults experiencing homelessness and near homelessness. For more information, go to yesomaha.org.

BUSINESS HOURS

Are you considering the exciting opportunity of buying a business? Taking the leap into entrepreneurship is a thrilling and potentially rewarding venture. Whether you’re a seasoned entrepreneur or a passionate individual looking to make your mark in the business world, the prospect of buying a business presents a myriad of advantages and opportunities.
Buying a business is a life-changing opportunity. It’s a chance to try your hand at something you’ve always dreamed of doing. Or, for those of you who are looking to expand an already existing business, it’s a chance to reach more people than ever before.
However great the reward, it is also important to acknowledge that buying a business is not without its challenges and risks. Business transactions require significant attention to detail and demand a lot of attention – it’s nearly impossible to do alone. Conducting thorough due diligence, seeking professional advice and carefully evaluating the business’s financials, market conditions and growth potential are critical steps in the decision making process.
Buying a business is a monumental decision – you shouldn’t make it without first consulting those close to you and other professionals. With the help of Omaha professionals and the amazing community, get ready to embark on a path that could lead to new horizons and a prosperous future as a business owner.
A Bank That Cares
Choosing a bank to work with for buying a business and future business endeavors isn’t an insignificant decision. Having the right bank by your side will set you up for success. You want to work with a bank you can trust, a bank that is more than just a bank.
Cornhusker Bank , a bank that acts as your partner, assists with and provides customized lending options surrounding a business purchase. Their loan options can be tailored to fit your specific needs. But, before diving into the buying process, VP/Relationship
Manager Tyler Albers advises that you consider how sales will be impacted with a change in ownership as well as if the seller will be staying on with the company short term in any capacity to help with the transition.
“Having an initial business valuation completed by a reputable source is a key starting point. If the purchase price falls at or under the valuation, the buyer can then evaluate how much debt the business’s existing cash flow can service. The buyer should have a team of trusted advisors involved who can provide objective advice in a multitude of different areas including valuation of the prospective business, insurance, financing, accounting, etc.”
Whether you’re starting out or expanding your operations, the Cornhusker Bank team is ready to help your business move forward. Their experts live and work in the community and understand the local environment. When working with their knowledgeable staff, they will build a trusted relationship with you and your team, understand your business and deliver smart, personal advice that helps you navigate the future, no matter what it may bring.
Question Every Detail
The most interesting aspect of buying a business is that everyone is optimistic and excited. It is a fun environment to operate in, however what is euphoric now may cause you to look past some potential challenges. It is important to always stay grounded in your core beliefs when you start a new business or purchase an existing one.
At Cyberbacker , it is their job to bring up every possible detail when their client is considering buying a business. Attention to
detail is critical. Understanding the financials of the purchase and the business in question should be one of the first steps in the decision making process.
Determination of value should be based on the company’s past performance. Is it reasonable to expect the income to remain constant? Itemizing the current assets and inventory is a part of the purchase that allows you to verify what is in the contract and that it actually exists. Errors in expected inventory is a common occurrence and must be dealt with prior to and immediately after closing on a business transaction. Recognizing the value of the assets you are buying and what is considered as “blue sky,” or potential business, may affect the profitability of your business and requires serious consideration.
According to Donald Kracke, a certified business coach with BspokeIQ, “You can have reasons or results, and you can’t have both.”
For the best results, Donald recommends preparing a budget that is obtainable and sticking to it. Your budget keeps you focused on what is happening in reality, keeping you from being overly optimistic about unrealistic goals. Your budget keeps you focused on obtainable expectations as you strive to make your business a success. Always set a goal so that you can prepare a clear plan on how you will proceed toward your target.
Place Extra Emphasis on Receivables
When buying a business, it cannot be stressed enough to do a thorough evaluation of the business you are interested in purchasing. One of the most important aspects of a business to factor into your buying decision is the company’s receivables.
It’s important for potential business purchasers to understand that not all of the billings a business sends out are going to be paid. Don’t leave your budget so tight that nonpayment results in the business going under. It’s good to know about receivables upfront to create a policy for handling those cases of nonpayment. AR Solutions is happy to consult with clients to help them set up their receivables process in a way that increases their in-house collections to prevent future issues.
As a collection agency, AR Solutions will work closely with you to determine the reason for any nonpayment of receivables and estimate what you can expect to receive from each instance. If you’ve owned a business before, AR Solutions can track and collect on receivables for you, so you can focus on what your business does to make money—and you don’t pay AR Solutions unless they collect the debt.
“We will act as an extension of your new company and conduct direct communication with your clients,” said Founder Aaron Newell . “Our competitive fees are also contingent upon collection, so you do not pay unless we collect.”
Buying a business is undoubtedly one of the most serious ventures many of us will ever partake in. It isn’t something to enter into lightly, but shouldn’t be shied away from either just because of the risk it poses. With some of the best experts in Omaha only one call away, you can rest assured that your buying process will go as smoothly as possible. There are almost always going to be unforeseen situations that arise, and those instances are where the professionals of Omaha really shine. We encourage all local entrepreneurs to seek the assistance of professional help as you carve a path towards success. We want you to succeed!

Healthy Smiles Equal Successful Smiles
Getting off to a good start in school begins with being healthy. Oral health is an important part of overall health. The team at Pediatric Dental Specialists knows the importance of a healthy smile, and helps children learn to care for their teeth and oral health at home.
“We help get kids out of pain so they can eat well, sleep well and therefore learn well at school,” said Dr. Ben Reimer .
It is Nebraska law that all children attending kindergarten receive a dental checkup. Pediatric Dental Specialists is prepared for these visits and will send you home with the required documentation needed for kindergarten. They do everything they can at your appointment so you don’t have to worry about it later.
Though scheduling an appointment can be stressful as you work around multiple schedules, you can optimize school breaks by planning ahead and scheduling dental visits before your child is due to ensure they get an appointment time that best meets your busy schedule. Life gets busy and things get put off - oral health shouldn’t be one of them.
Pediatric Dental Specialists partners with parents to create healthy smiles and early positive dental habits that last a lifetime. Why not start now? Back-to-school time is the perfect time to schedule your next dental appointment.
Engaging, Hand-Crafted Curriculum
It is no secret that children learn more when they are interested in what they are learning. To optimize learning, you have to increase engagement and target lessons to the individual. At Heavenly Arms Learning Center , Owner Miss Shyla optimizes learning through her handcrafted curriculum. She and her exceptional teaching team create unique lesson plans that gently challenge your child and address their areas of weakness.
“Each child in our care receives the individualized attention that allows them to flourish,” said Owner Shyla Johnson. “Our expert team makes a daily difference in
the life of your child. By getting to know your child personally, we can offer guidance and plenty of encouragement along the way.”
Plus, Miss Shyla doesn't just aim to help children. She regularly puts together parent education videos to give you tailored expertise you can trust. She connects parents who struggle to make ends meet with resources like Title 20 to help pay for childcare costs.
Choosing the right childcare and education provider can be difficult. Everyone wants the best for their children, even if it means making sacrifices. With Heavenly Arms Learning Center, the sacrifices parents make for their children are much less impactful than elsewhere.
Where Will Education Lead?
As little kids, we dream of becoming rock stars and astronauts – professions that are unrealistic for the vast majority of us. In reality, most of us don’t know what we want to do with our lives when we are in elementary, middle or high school. Most of us don’t figure it out until college, halfway through college or well after we’ve entered the workforce. Real life experiences shape our desires and interests, but wouldn’t it be great to have an idea of what we want our futures to look like before we try to make puzzle pieces fit where they don’t belong?
TradeGamz , a new business striving to connect students to careers, offers a platform for students and job seekers to connect with professionals from various fields, businesses of all sorts and colleges/universities around the country. The platform helps people explore different industries and career opportunities. By learning from those who experience it every day instead of Google, the goal is for students and job seekers to better understand their opportunities. Plus, while students are learning about their opportunities, they are simultaneously building their profile and resume through TradeGamz – something they can use to apply directly with the professionals they are learning from.
TradeGamz, in collaboration with educators, works to give each student a unique learning experience. With over 200,000 career options at their fingertips, educators can use the platform to connect students with careers they are truly interested in.
Regardless of if the returning student is in elementary, middle or high school, parents have their hands full. We know that the start of school isn’t any easier for college or adult students – though at least there is a little bit less running around for the parents. Everyone has a full plate as they adjust to a new schedule and challenge themselves academically. Though the start of school can be overwhelming, the professionals of Omaha are here to help make the transition as smooth as possible.
Back-to-school time is filled with amazing deals and sales that will save you money. Take advantage of everything the local businesses have to offer as they try to lessen the impact of the start of school on your bank account. Look around, ask around –do whatever you have to do to find the best businesses to work with for your family. There are plenty of great options around!
You can’t possibly remember to do everything alone, let alone be fully prepared and have others prepared for school without help. We all forget things – it’s a part of life. That’s why they make back-to-school checklists and why the community rallies together behind students, parents and educators at the start of a school year. That stress ball you were last year when you didn’t ask for help? You never have to be that person again. Look towards the local resources in the Omaha community for support and help checking all the boxes, and then some, for another crazy year of academics and extracurricular activities. The 2023-2024 school year is upon us, and everyone is ready to help however they can!

They do everything they can to make sure you look perfect on your wedding day, leaving as little room for error as possible. A benefit of being a large salon is that they are able to schedule everyone at the same time on the wedding day, allowing one hour per hair service and one hour per makeup application. Creative Hair Design & Spa also has a private area for the bridal parties to bring in food and/or drinks so they can wait together for their services to be finished. Unleashing the Power of Legal Unbundled Services Benefi ts of a Tiered Services Approach
Innovation is rapidly transforming traditional models to cater to evolving client demands in the legal industry. At McGill Law, we are committed to consistently working on improving our offerings to provide our clients and prospective clients what they truly want and need. McGill Law’s newest revolutionary concept is the introduction of legal unbundled services—a tiered approach that allows clients to select their desired level of services, rather than defaulting. This article delves into the concept of legal unbundling, highlighting its benefits for our current and future clients.
Understanding Legal Unbundled Services: Legal unbundling, also known as limited scope representation, entails breaking down legal services into discrete tasks or components from which clients can choose based on their specific needs. Unlike the traditional model where lawyers handle the entire case from start to finish, unbundled services allow clients to retain more control and flexibility over their legal matters.
Before making this offering, we spent a significant time learning how firms in other states were providing unbundled services. While limited scope representation has been offered for years in Nebraska, the way it was offered was very piecemeal and ala carte. The traditional offerings left clients overwhelmed in need of more guidance. McGill Law developed our own way to offer this service by utilizing a tiered service approach, similar to other personal service offerings. While we believe the benefits to our current clients and future clients are vast, here are some of the major benefits:
1. Cost-Effectiveness: One of the primary advantages of legal unbundling is its cost-effectiveness. By allowing clients to select only the services they need, they have more control over their legal expenses. Clients may chose to do some of the work on their own without the assistance of an attorney and thereby reducing the time an attorney spends on their matter.
2. Enhanced Access to Justice: Legal unbundling fosters greater access to justice, particularly for individuals who might otherwise be unable to afford comprehensive legal representation. By offering a more affordable option, it ensures that legal services are accessible to a wider range of clients, promoting fairness and equality within the legal system. Unbundled services enable individuals with limited resources to access legal assistance at lower cost.
3. Tailored Solutions: Potential clients often have unique legal needs, and unbundled services cater to this diversity. Unbundled services empower clients to tailor their legal approach to suit their specific circumstances, needs, and interest. They can address individual aspects of their case as needed, ensuring a personalized strategy that aligns with their goals. This flexibility and adaptability allows clients to actively participate in their legal matters and make informed decisions, fostering a sense of empowerment throughout the process.
4. Flexibility and Control: Instead of entrusting the entirety of their case to another, clients have the flexibility to choose with which tasks they want assistance and which they prefer to handle themselves. This level of control allows clients to actively participate in their legal process, making informed decisions and having a more personalized approach to their case. For instance, a client might choose to represent themselves in negotiations while seeking legal advice only for document preparation and in understanding their options and how the law applies to their situation.
5. Reduced Overwhelm: Legal matters can often be overwhelming, especially for those who are going through a major life event. Unbundled services offer a manageable approach by breaking down complex cases into smaller sections and tasks. This helps clients better understand the legal process, focus on specific aspects, and navigate their case more effectively. By alleviating the burden and providing targeted support, legal unbundling reduces stress and increases client confidence.
