Urlaub in den Bergen! Ganz klar, dass das vierbeinige Familienmitglied mit dabei ist. Im Stubaital dürfen Hunde in den öffentlichen Lilienbussen und den Bergbahnen kostenfrei mitfahren. Für ein verträgliches Miteinander brauchen wir alle Achtsamkeit füreinander und gegenseitigen Respekt.

Einige Empfehlungen, worauf wir gemeinsam beim Wandern mit Hunden achten sollten:

❙ Hunde auch bei Wanderungen an der Leine führen.

❙ Kuhherden in großem Abstand umgehen.

❙ Nicht durch abgesperrte Weiden gehen.

❙ Regeln in den öffentlichen Gebäuden und Verkehrsmitteln wie Bus, Bahn, Seilbahnen beachten (Leinenpflicht, Maulkorb).

❙ Hundekot auch auf Wiesen, Weiden und im Wald einsammeln und im Sackerl in einem Mülleimer entsorgen. Hundekot ist kein Dünger. Er kann im Tierfutter (Gras, Heu) gefährliche Infektionen bei Weidetieren verursachen.

Taking Dogs Through The Mountains

F armers have been managing the alpine pastures in the Stubai Valley for centuries. In summer, the meadows and pastures are the habitat for grazing animals such as cows, sheep, goats or horses. It is important to pay attention to this when we, as hikers, day trippers or mountain bikers, enjoy this well-kept cultural landscape on the paths and trails. Because we all need to be mindful of each other and show mutual respect to be able to coexist in peace.

Recommendations on what we should all pay attention to when hiking with dogs:

❙ Always keep dogs on lead.

❙ Also pick up dog excrement in meadows, pastures and the forest and dispose of it in a bag in a rubbish bin. Dog excrement is not fertiliser but can cause dangerous infections in grazing animals.

❙ Keep your distance from a herd of cows.

❙ Do not walk through cordoned-off pastures.

❙ Follow the rules in public buildings and means of transport such as buses, trains, cable cars (on lead, muzzle).
