نادي التمويل باجلامعة االمريكية رئيسة النادي فرح العجيل:
ننظم معارض وحماضرات على مدار العام الدراسي
تأسس نادي التمويل يف اجلامعة األمريكية منذ ثالث سنوات على يد جمموعة من طلبة اجلامعة ،واليوم يصل عدد املشاركني يف النادي ما يقارب 50إىل 60طالب وأعضاء جملس إدارة ورئيس النادي الذي يتم انتخابهم من قبل األعضاء ،ولتسليط الضوء على نشاطات النادي التقت STUDENTALKرئيسة النادي فرح العجيل لتحدثنا عن نشاطاتهم ومشاريعهم. كيف انطلقت فكرة النادي؟
ما هي نشاطات النادي؟
أسس النادي منذ ثالث سنوات ،وصاحب
سنويًا نقوم بتنظيم” أسبوع التمويل" يف
الفكرة هو الطالب خالد املرزوق بهدف
اجلامعة ،يتخلله عدد من النشاطات منها
الدخول والتعرف أكرث على جمال األعمال
احملاضرات التي يقدمها ضيوف متخصصني
االدارية والتمويل وتوفري األساسيات للطلبة
يف التمويل يف الكويت لعرض إجنازاتهم
ملساعدتهم بعد التخرج يف وظيفتهم
وحتفيز الطلبة وتقدمي النصائح لهم .كما يتم
املستقبلية.
تنظيم نشاط ترفيهي مثل دوري كرة القدم.
ويف شهر فرباير القادم سنقوم بتنظيم
ما هي شروط االنضمام للنادي؟
معرض "كويتنا” وسيعرض من خالله تاريخ
يف بداية كل عام دراسي نقوم بوضع ركن
التمويل يف الكويت.
خمصص يتمكن الطلبة من خالله التسجيل ومن ثم نقوم مبقابلة الطلبة وتقييمهم
ما هي أبرز النشاطات التي سبق للنادي أن قام بها؟
باملوافقة أو الرفض.
قمنا برحلة إىل البورصة ،فض ًال عن احملاضرات
ماذا عن متويل النادي؟
للطلبة من قبل متخصصني أذكر منهم على

أمتنى مشاركة وتفاعل الطلبة بشكل أكرب
جملس إدارة البنوك يف الكويت ،كما متت
واملشاركة يف النشاطات التي ننظمها ،ويف
دعوة عدد من رجال األعمال من بريطانيا
تطوير األفكار يف النادي .ختامًا ال بد أن أشكر
لتقدمي حماضرات يف التمويل.
اجلامعة وأعضاء جملس إدارة النادي وجميع املشاركني به منذ تأسيسه حتى اليوم.
انطلقت الفكرة مببادرة من العضو يف النادي "يوسف املناعي" الذي طرح الفكرة والقت القبول واإلستحسان ،وستتضمن نشاطات النادي ولقاءات متنوعة يف جمال التمويل، وسنضيف إليها قضية العدد "BreakEven ”2012التي سيتم طرحها يف صفحات معدودة على أن نصدر كتابًا وثائقيًا يتناول
سيتم إصدار جملة وكتاب وثائقي عن التمويل يف الكويت
القضية بطريقة تفصيلية.

يف حياة الطلبة ثامر الربيع :االحتياجات اخلاصة فئة متميزة مبواهبها اإلرادة واإلصرار والتحدي كنوز ال تقدر بثمن ،وما أضيق العيش لوال فسحة األمل الذي ميتلكه الطالب ثامر حسن الربيع ،املتطوع يف رابطة األسر الكويتية والتي تعد من أكرث الروابط التي تعمل بشكل مستمر مع ذوي اإلحتياجات اخلاصة ،فالعمل التطوعي يساهم يف رسم البسمة على وجوه األطفال والكبار من فئة ذوي اإلحتياجات اخلاصة .لذلك اختار ت �STUDEN TALKهذا العدد الطالب ثامر حسن الربيع ليحدثنا عن جتربته يف جمال العمل التطوعي.
كيف تستطيع أن تنظم وقتك ما بني الدراسة والعمل التطوعي؟ الشخص املتطوع يشعر بفرحة كبرية عند قيامه بأي عمل يسعد به اآلخرين ،وهذه السعادة ترتجم من خالل طاقة حتفزين على الدراسة بشكل صحيح حتى أوفق بني األمرين.
كيف تصف تعامل األصحاء مع ذوي اإلحتياجات اخلاصة؟ لألسف ،هناك الكثري من األشخاص الذين ال

رئيس جملس أمناء كلية بوكسهل الكويت الدكتور "عبد الرحمن خليفة الشايجي” ينحدر من عائلة اكادميية ،درس الهندسة االكرتونية وحصل على ماجستري يف إدارة األعمال MBAثم نال درجة الدكتوراة يف اإلدارة، التقته STUDENTALKليتحدث عن رؤية الكلية ورسالتها وخططها املستقبلية بعد مرور 5سنوات على افتتاحها ،والتي انطلقت مع 47 طالبة وتضم اليوم أكرث من 700طالبة .وكان احلوار التايل. كيف انطلقت فكرة انشاء كلية بوكسهل يف الكويت؟

كيف تقيم كلية بوكسهل ،كونها أول كلية يف الكويت متخصصة للبنات؟
األبواب املفتوحة ليكن لديهن دور مهم،
واملقاالت التي يتم نشرها حتررها طالبات
فقد أسست الكلية "نادي البنات" الذي

بني التسلية واخلرافة واالقتناع طالبات اجلامعات كيف يتعاملن مع التنبؤات الفلكية؟
مع انتهاء عام ،واستقبال عام جديد تخصص القنوات الفضائية واجلرائد واجملالت واإلذاعات حيزًا للربامج التي تقدم األخبار املتعلقة بالتنبؤات والتوقعات الفلكية واألبراج .ومعها يتهافت الناس وباألخص النساء إىل متابعة التغريات املتوقعة على حياتهن سواء الشخصية أو املهنية أو املادية أو العائلية ،وكما ينصب اهتمامهن على معرفة أحداث العام اجلديد بناء على حركة الكواكب وتأثريها على احلياة .ومن منطلق كذب املنجمون ولو صدقوا ،وملعرفة وجهة نظر الطالبات كانت لنا هذه اللقاءات. ويف نفس السياق تشري الطالبة "فجر الشريدة” تخصص تسويق ،أن التوقعات الفلكية حتمل يف طياتها الكثري من التشويق. وتقول:على الرغم من أنني أقوم بقراءة األبراج والتوقعات الفلكية بني احلني واآلخر كنوع من التسلية إال أنني ال أتأثر بها ،وال أربطها بشكل جدي بحياتي اليومية.
نورة العجمي تعترب الطالبة "نورة العجمي” تخصص ICT أن التوقعات الفلكية واألبراج ضرب من اخليال، وال ميكن أن تؤمن بها ألنه ال أساس لها من الصحة .وعلى الرغم من وجود العديد من التنبؤات والتوقعات سواء احمللية أو العاملية يف اآلونة األخرية وإن صدقت تكون عن طريق الصدفة فقط.

وتعترب الطالبة "هال عبداهلل الشامري” تخصص تسويق أن ما يتم نشره يف القنوات الفضائية والصحف واجملالت عن التنبؤات هو أمر مضحك خاصة أن هناك العديد من الناس وخاصة النساء يؤمن مبا يتم نشره ويؤثر ذلك على حياتهن بطريقة سلبية لربط حياتهن اخلاصة بتوقعات خرافية.

ومن جهتها تقول الطالبة "حنني الشريدة” تخصص متويل ،أن هناك العديد من الفتيات والنساء اللواتي يؤمن باألبراج من خالل اعتقادهن بتأثري الكواكب على األحداث الشخصية والعاملية .لكنها وعلى صعيد شخصي تستمع اىل األبراج والتوقعات الفلكية على سبيل التسلية فقط.

وتوافقها الرأي الطالبة "هاجر الشمري” تخصص إدارة أعمال ،حيث أن التوقعات الفلكية حتث الشخص بشكل ال إرادي على متابعتها ملعرفة املستقبل على سبيل التسلية فقط دون اإلميان بذلك ،وتعتقد أن ثمة صفات مشرتكة بجميع البشر، ومن الطبيعي أن تصدف صفات برج معني مع التوقعات الفلكية ،وهذا ال يدل على مصداقيتها.
أبرز التنبؤات الفلكية لعام :2013 ميشيال حايك :الرئيس األمريكي باراك أوباما يحظى بعاطفة شعبية تخرجه من أزمة لفرتة معينة . بعض املناطق السورية تأخذ حقها التاريخي والرتاثي واجلمايل.

أما الطالبة "حنان القدمان” تخصص تسويق، فهي ال تهتم على اإلطالق مبا تسميه اخلرافات ،وال تؤثر عليها أي من التنبؤات الفلكية التي يعرضها املنجمون نهاية كل عام، على الرغم من أنه يف اآلونة األخرية تزايدات اخلرافات عن توقع الكوارث واحلروب ،ولكنها يف احلقيقة أمور حتدث منذ بدأ الكون.
هالة عمر :سيشهد 2013 وفاة عدد كبري من الزعماء السياسيني احلاليني الذين يسيطرون على احلكم فى دولهم،خالل شهر يونيو 2013 ستندلع االحتجاجات السياسية. 28

وعلى صعيد آخر تعترب الطالبة "خديجة الثويني” ،أن قراءة األبراج والتوقعات الفلكية من األمور املسلية واملثرية لإلهتمام .وتقول بأن لديها العديد من الصديقات اللواتي يتابعن األبراج بشكل يومي ،ويف بعض األحيان تتحقق بعض التوقعات بالفعل ،لكن هذا ليس دلي ًال على حقيقة هذه التنبؤات ،وعلى صعيد شخصي تهتم مبتابعة األبراج بني احلني واآلخر ،خاصة مع نهاية العام كنوع من التسلية والرتفيه دون االعتقاد بها.

How do you feel about receiving over 13,000 votes online? I feel fantastic, I love the support that I got from my fans. I thank each and every one of them.
When did you start? How old were you? And how did you progress your talent? I was 15 when I started back in 2002, I released my first song. It progressed by practicing and also participating in live concerts abroad.
Who do you like to listen to?
I love listening to rappers from all over the world. I get my knowledge from different styles mixed up together, creating my own genre of Rap music. West coast rappers grab my attention the most.
Do you remember the first song you sang?

Yes I do remember the whole scene as I have flashes of it from
time to time. “Shadows of the future” it was the fuel that set the fire of my talent. You mentioned you hope to be a mainstream rapper and release an album.
How do you hope to achieve that?
Mainstream rapper! That’s one of my dreams, but it all depends on the support I get from people. Either way it needs a record deal to begin.
Did you enter any contest other than STUDENTALK? When and where?
I joined a few contests over the years in different countries around the region, and I was named “Rapper of the Year” a couple of times.
How do you feel about participating in STUDENTALK? It was a wonderful experience and I thank everyone in STUDENTALK’s family. I needed that kind of support.
Do you have any last words for STUDENTALK’s readers? Last words? It was a dream to be known for something different, I am living that dream and I don’t want to wake up. I would like to thank those who supported me again, chase your talent.

The CT200h’s Lexus Hybrid Drive features unique energy management systems paired with a four-cylinder gas engine. Its highly efficient engine design together with an exhaust heat recovery system, major efforts to reduce inefficient losses, an evaporative emissions system and driver-selectable driving modes all make notable contributions. Added to these are the significant efforts made to minimize engine noise. Under its hood is a 1.8 liter 4 cylinder engine with four valves per cylinder and Variable Valve Timing with Intelligence (VVT-i) on the intake side. It produces 98 horsepower and in combination with the hybrid drive motor, the CT 200h generates 58

One of the keys to lower fuel consumption is its exhaust heat recovery system that captures the heat from the exhaust gases and uses it to speed engine coolant warm-up and allow the hybrid system to stop the engine earlier and more often in the driving cycle when it’s not needed, like low power demand driving conditions in the city for example. One fun feature of the CT 200h is the drive-mode selector that allows the driver to toggle between four distinct modes: Normal, Sport, Eco or EV. Each mode changes the rate of throttle opening for a given throttle-pedal angle. Normal mode has an essentially linear throttle response that gives naturally progressive power. Sport mode can be selected when the driver wants a more dynamic experience. In Eco mode, air conditioning settings are adjusted and the throttle response is reduced relative to the pedal
angle to increase fuel economy. Under certain circumstances, the EV mode can allow the vehicle to be driven short distances using only the electric motor. Another innovative feature that also helps recharge the hybrid battery pack and further improve fuel economy is the regenerative braking. Safety is a priority in the CT 200h. It has standard eight-airbag Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) with dual-stage airbags and knee airbags for driver and front passenger, side curtain airbags, and front seat-mounted side airbags to help protect passengers in certain types of severe frontal or side collisions. It’s also fitted with 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels and features the direct-type Tire Pressure Monitor System (TPMS). Optional Pre-Collision System (PCS) with Dynamic Radar Cruise Control can help reduce collision damage and uses millimeter-wave radar to measure and help maintain a preset distance from a vehicle traveling ahead. PCS is equipped with a front-mounted radar sensor that is
designed to detect obstacles in front of the car. For technology seekers, the CT 200h offers Bluetooth wireless connectivity and USB/iPod connectivity. When an iPod is attached via the USB port it can be operated via steering wheel controls or from the display screen while the album art and music information are displayed on the head-unit and optionally on the navigation screen. Other options include the Navigation Package, rear-view camera, voice command, and Premium Audio Package with 10 speakers and six-disc CD changer. An optional Leather Package includes perforated leather seats, driver memory, and rain sensing variable intermittent wipers.

The Games received widespread acclaim for their perfect organization, with the volunteers, the British military, and the public enthusiasm which ran particularly high. FAYE AL- SULTAN MAKES KUWAIT PROUD We knew we couldn’t speak of the Olympics this year without mentioning our local star, Faye Al-Sultan. The 17-year-old is one of two women in Kuwait to have been sent to the London Games. Al-Sultan competed in the 50-meter freestyle and was the first ever female swimmer to represent Kuwait in the Olympics. Viewing her success through participation has definitely encouraged more women in the region to participate in sports and has opened a number of doors for women to develop in their societies as a whole.
GREEK TRIPLE JUMPER KICKED OUT FOR RACIST COMMENTS This year, Greek triple jumper, Voula Papachristou, was expelled from the Olympics after she posted a racist joke on twitter. Her offending message referred to reports of mosquitoes carrying the West Nile virus in her home country, stating ‘With so many Africans in Greece, at least the West Nile mosquitoes will eat home-made food!’ After initially insisting her comment was a joke, the 23-year-old issued a length apology. However, she was still expelled from the team by the Greek Olympic Committee, who claimed her statements were contrary to the values of the Olympic movement.
Accompanied by James Bond, her Majesty, the Queen, shocked everyone by parachuting into the stadium for the Opening Ceremony. The recorded sequence opened at Buckingham Palace where a tuxedowearing Craig as 007 was presented to the Queen. Anorexia nervosa is an eating disorder characterized by excessive food restriction and unreasonable obsession towards losing weight. Anorexia is typically common among females, mainly adolescents and young adults. This restriction of food intake causes metabolic and hormonal disorders. On a superficial level, anorexia nervosa is unpleasant to see; every bone contour becomes visible under the skin. Yet, it is not just the sight that is frightening, but also the many associated dangerous complications such as an extremely slow heart rate, low blood pressure, changes in the heart muscle, erosion of dental enamel, hair loss, the degradation and eventual loss of muscle tone in addition to dehydration, fainting, and many other adverse effects. Over 10% of patients admitted to the hospital for anorexia nervosa die. Many hypotheses have been formulated regarding the etiology of this “disease�. Causes could go back to obstetric complications of the individual, hormonal 64

Both entities are dangerous: anorexia being with the metabolic and hormonal changes it results in and obesity with the co-morbidities that develop with time. AUK Football Freestyler Wins Trip to Chelsea The American University of Kuwait played host to the first ever Kuwait Freestyle Football Talent Quest earlier this month. Sponsored by Tonino Lamborghini and supported by The Freestyle Football Federation, this four day event promoted freestyle football around Kuwait, offering audience members a chance to learn new freestyle skills from professional freestylers and the opportunity to compete in a freestyle football competition were the winner received a fully paid trip to London to watch a Chelsea FC game, as well as VIP treatment and Chelsea FC souvenirs. The event was held in a different location each day, taking place in three select universities and at the 360 Mall. At the end of the day, the judges picked the top 3 freestylers from AUK. Third place went to Ahmed Mustafa. Second place was awarded to Hovig Mouradian. First place, including a fully paid trip to London to watch a Chelsea game, was given to Amr Abdulraheem.

جانب من املؤمتر الصحفي وبينت ان ريع بيع تذاكر دخول املعرض سيخصص ملساعدة مركز األطفال املصابني بداء السكري. بشري جابر وأحمد العمريي وزينة املقدم وثنيان الغامن وفهد الغريب وعادل السميط عقدت شركة PH7 Eventsمؤمترا صحفيا يف فندق مارينا ،أعلنت من خالله إطالق النسخة األوىل من معرض الكويت لليخوت يف مارينا كريسنت يف الفرتة من 29ولغاية 31يناير ،2013 مبشاركة حاشدة من وكالء عالمات اليخوت العاملية يف الكويت. وقال رئيس شركة الغامن مارين ثنيان الغامن ،إن معرض اليخوت كان يف السابق مبنزلة احللم بان ينظم يف الكويت بسبب العوائق والعراقيل املتعددة املوضوعة من قبل بعض اجلهات احلكومية ،لكن اليوم مت جتاوز هذه العراقيل. وأضاف أن الكويت رائدة يف هذا اجملال ،وهناك اهتمام كبري بالصناعة البحرية ،فالكويتيون يشكلون أكرث من %70من زبائن معارض اليخوت يف منطقة اخلليج. ومن ناحيته قال عادل السميط من البوم مارين إن السوق الكويتي يعد من اكرب أسواق اليخوت والقوارب يف املنطقة ،وأكرثها نشاطا وازدهارا .متوقعا يف الوقت نفسه أن يكون هناك إقبال كبري من الزوار.

ومن جانبها قالت مديرة عام شركة PH7زينة املقدم ،إنه على الرغم من أن الكويت متتلك أقدم وأغنى تراث بحري بني جميع دول املنطقة ،غري أنه يف السنوات اخلمس األخرية مل تشهد البالد أي حدث بحري خاص ،يربز عراقتها يف الصناعة البحرية وريادتها يف هذا السياق. «وبناء عليه سيشهد شهر يناير املقبل بزوغ عصر جديد للكويت يف هذا اإلطار وتابعت: ً لتضع بصمة واضحة على خريطة املنطقة جلهة تنظيم معارض بحرية جتعل منها قبلة لهذه الصناعة مع إطالق النسخة األوىل من معرض الكويت لليخوت يف املارينا كريسنت». وأشارت املقدم اىل أن مشروع املعرض القى استحسانا كبريا بني أوساط الشركات احمللية الرائدة التي التزمت برعاية معرض الكويت لليخوت ويف مقدمتهم الرعاية البالتينية لكل من الشركة الوطنية لالتصاالت وبنك برقان ،كما أن العديد من الوكالء الكويتيني ملاركات اليخوت العاملية قد استثمروا يف املعرض ويستعدون لعرض منتجاتهم وخدماتهم. وأوضحت أن قائمة اجلهات املشاركة والعارضة تتضمن أسماء رائدة يف عامل اليخوت يف الكويت منها على سبيل الذكر ال احلصر ثنيان الغامن من الغامن مارين وكالء منتجات بومبارديه، وأحمد العمريي من سيز أند ديزرتس وكالء أزميوت -سي راي -بوستون والر وغريها من العالمات التجارية البحرية ،وعادل السميط من ألبوم مارين وكالء غلف كرافت وغريها من العالمات التجارية البحرية ،وشركة مصطفى كرم وكالء سوزوكي مارين وعمر القاضي من باور هاوس وكالء روبالو وغريها من العالمات التجارية البحرية.
وأضافت أن الشركة ستحرص على إقامة هذا املعرض سنويًا على أن يستقطب يف السنوات املقبلة شركات حملية وإقليمية وعاملية متخصصة يف عامل اليخوت. ومن ناحيته قال مساعد مدير عام -االتصاالت التسويقية يف بنك برقان بشري جابر ان الكويت متكنت من ترسيخ مكانتها كإحدى أفضل املواقع إلقامة هذا النوع من املعارض ،وان إقامة املعرض تكتسب أهمية كربى كونه يأتي مواكبًا للتطورات التي تشهدها الصناعات البحرية يف دول اخلليج بشكل عام والكويت بشكل خاص ،حيث يشكل السوق البحري أحد مصادر دفع عجلة النمو االقتصادي للدول التي تتمتع مبواقع بحرية مميزة. وعن تبني ودعم فكرة املعرض ،أكدت إدارة الشركة الوطنية لالتصاالت سعيها الدؤوب إىل تقدمي كل أنواع الدعم للجهود التي تهدف إىل إطالق صورة حضارية عن الكويت مبا يتناسب مع تاريخها العريق والذي يؤكد على األصالة املمزوجة باحلداثة كما سيجسدها معرض اليخوت الذي سيشكل حدثا مميزا يف الكويت.

ADNAR Group® launches Edition “Zero” of the Global Management Challenge, the world’s largest business and strategy competition in the world in Kuwait for the first time in the Arab world on the 8th of January 2013. Leading Companies and Universities in Kuwait will compete with each other with the objective of getting the highest company share price in the simulated stock exchange, and the winning teams from each group will compete in the final to represent Kuwait in the next international final in Bucharest. The participants come from all walks of life; senior and middle managers, managers to be and students. The global winner of 2011 was Russia, the competition was held in Kiev, Ukraine. This year Kuwait is proud to raise its flag for the first time among competing countries in the next international final in Bucharest.
