How to leave kick-ass comments as a Stylist
Commenting can be difficult We know that sometimes it is difficult to answer a user question on the app which is why we are here to guide you through the good, the bad, and the ugly sides of advising users.
The 3 golden rules 1) Always provide the user with a compliment if you are going to critique their outfit. 2) Provide the user with constructive criticism, always give advice they can use next time they are styling an outfit. MATTHEW 12:37 3) Help us to encourage appropriate behavior on the app and don't encourage non-style related questions.
Bad comments "Great picture, love the color of your dog"
"Love it, you look so cute" Your comment won't be approved for payment if it falls into this category
Why is this bad? Everyone loves dogs and a user might have uploaded a very cute picture of a dog, but that isn't what the app is for and it is encouraging unrelated content.
What you could say "Hey, thanks for your post, but please remember that app is for style and fashion questions!" "Cute dog but this might be removed by admin as it is not related to style"
Why is this bad? The user hasn't gained any knowledge of fashion or styling through this comment. If they haven't asked a question, then remind them to ask one next time.
What you could say "I really like this outfit on you! Next time you post ask a specific style question" "I love the outfit, especially the jacket, the style and shape of it really suits you. You could try adding some brightly coloured earrings or a necklace to jazz up the outfit"
Average comments "Yes, yellow is really in this season, looks great!
"No, wear different jeans with that top"
Comments in this category might not be approved for payment While the user has been taught that yellow is a good color to wear they haven't learned anything else beyond that. Does the style of top suit them? What jacket should they wear? Could they add any accessories?
What you could say "Yes, yellow is really in this season as are bold and pastel colors! I would suggest wearing this with a black leather jacket or a blue denim one"

Comments like these with get approved for payment if they fit the criteria! This comment tells the user that the particular style of dress suits them so that they know for the future, and gives a recommendation as to what else they can wear with it.
