Rest, recharge, rejuvenate

Self care – it’s critical. I’ve always scheduled ‘me time’ throughout my busy year to reflect and rejuvenate. Let’s face it, we’re all master jugglers balancing careers, family, and everything in between, which can leave us feeling overwhelmed and burnt out.

Me-time, free of interruptions and distractions is what we all need from time to time. This year, why not schedule more time to recharge and ‘flop and drop’ in style, and what better way to do this than hopping on a trip of a lifetime?

Craving a holiday on a remote island, or better yet an open-ocean sailing trip? Or, would you rather wind down at a luxurious resort or wellness retreat? When you’re ready to slow down and escape the whirlwind, the hardest decision will be deciding where to retreat. The good news is, that’s where I can help and I will do my best to tailor the perfect escape for you.

Prioritise, prioritise, and prioritise

If you’re thinking about buying your first home, or just in the market for a new property, my number one tip would be to prioritise. That means making the time to prioritise your preferences –determine what is most important to you in a home and what you can compromise on. I’d then recommend making an actual list and sharing it with your agent.

I’d also advise getting pre-approval prior to house hunting. Knowing how much you can borrow will improve your chances of nabbing your dream home. It will also give you and your agent a more accurate idea of what you can afford, which will make the house hunting process a lot smoother and more enjoyable.

And lastly, don’t be afraid to shop around on your mortgage loan. The right deal could save you thousands in the long run. On that note, happy house hunting!
