Margaret “Amie” Kozan, Esq. Appellate Attorney An appellate lawyer with her own Winter Park law firm (Margaret E. Kozan, P.A.), Ms. Kozan has a diverse legal background, having practiced with prestigious law firms in Orlando, Tampa, and her hometown of Baton Rouge. Licensed in two states and a graduate of Louisiana State University’s School of Law, Ms. Kozan finished in the top ten percent of her law school class, served as a Senior Editor of the Louisiana Law Review, was admitted to the Order of the Coif. Following law school she served as judicial clerk to United States District Court Judge Frank Polozola in the Middle District of Louisiana. “That was a tremendous opportunity. I learned so much from a great mentor.” With 27 years of legal experience, Ms. Kozan has focused the past 15 years of her practice on appellate litigation. She not only represents clients in state and federal appellate courts (where a litigant asks the higher court to review a lower court’s decision), she is also regularly engaged by other lawyers to counsel them on their trial court matters.
Ms. Kozan is former chair of the Orange County Bar Association’s Appellate Practice Committee and has served on Ninth Circuit Grievance Committee and the pro bono committee of the Florida Bar’s Appellate Practice Section. She is a former media lawyer and commercial litigator who worked in journalism and media relations before law school. For the past eight years, Ms. Kozan has been selected as a Florida “Super Lawyer” in appellate practice. She has a peer rating of “AV Preeminent” by Martindale-Hubbell (reflecting the highest level of legal ability and ethical standards). And, she has twice been selected by the Judicial Nominating Commission for potential appointment to the Fifth District Court of Appeal. When not writing briefs or otherwise puzzling through a complicated legal issue, you’ll find Ms. Kozan on the tennis courts, dining at local restaurants, cooking for friends, or walking her Affenpinscher puppy.

Carla Stanton REALTOR® I am proud to call Orlando, Florida home – it is where I grew up and have enjoyed living the Central Florida lifestyle! I was raised by a single mom, a longtime Central Florida resident and Real Estate Broker. Sally taught me how important it is to provide focused and personalized service to our real estate clients. Having been a home Buyer and Seller, I understand the big decisions that have to be made and the importance of understanding the process. I knew I needed the help of a real estate expert, but I wanted to be in the driver’s seat. I went to Winter Park High School as one of the first groups of students in the International Baccalaureate Program and graduated from Edgewater High School. After graduation, I attended the Savannah College of Art & Design to study fashion design, then returned to Orlando and began a 15 year career in advertising and marketing communications.
In the midst of an unstable world economy, I made the decision to follow in my mother’s path and got my real estate license. That decision seemed a little crazy at the time, but it afforded me the opportunity to learn as much about residential real estate sales as possible. I showed up educated and ready to provide exceptional service to my clients. My experience in advertising gave me an invaluable sense of the importance of presentation and communication – showcasing homes for sale to net top dollar for sellers, and negotiating the best purchase price and terms for buyers. Having lived in Orlando almost my entire life, I know the history of neighborhoods and surrounding Central Florida communities. My dedication to continued education and building a sense of community offers my customers a unique, customized home buying and selling experience.
