Dr. Peterson earned his undergraduate degree from the University of North Florida. He spent one year at the Mayo Clinic
in Jacksonville Florida working in the Alzheimer’s Research Laboratory prior to medical school. After attaining his medical degree from the University of South Florida, he met his wife and completed his general surgery residency at the University of South Florida. Dr. Peterson is enthusiastic and eager to help patients, and enjoys a plethora of home improvement projects, automotive mechanics, spending time with his wife and new baby boy. Dr. Kevin Huguet is the founder and director of the MIIS Weight Loss Institute. He was born and raised right here in St. Pete and feels honored to be a leader in the medical community of his lifelong home. Dr. Huguet strongly believes that surgery is just one component of an entire lifestyle change for patients to achieve their weight loss goals.
