ubmarine Telecoms Forum, Inc. is proud to announce the release of the 52nd edition of the Submarine Cable Almanac, the essential reference guide for the global submarine cable industry. Since its inception as a quarterly publication in 2011, the Almanac has become the industry’s go-to resource, offering a comprehensive snapshot of over 500 current and planned domestic and international cable systems.
This latest edition introduces several exciting updates, including the addition of 3 new systems and updates to an additional 28. For the first time, cable systems are organized by owner, with owners in the 95th percentile of system ownership (owning 8 or more systems, both planned and in service) specifically highlighted. This structure aims to provide clearer insights into ownership patterns and industry trends.
The Submarine Cable Almanac is crafted using data from a variety of public, commercial, and scientific sources. This data is integrated into SubTel Forum’s proprietary Submarine Cable Database, which
