When she left newspapers, she became an entrepreneur. “Sure, I had a lot of good skill-sets but operating a business required me to stretch,” she says. “I had to get outside my comfort zone and ask for a lot of help. I had to come from behind a wall of shyness and realize that a key to me moving forward was connected to the people placed in my sphere of influence.”
