My first iniFal responses to the brief set. I was thinking about how everyone is in their own world before they go into the industry so I wanted to find a way to show people were inside their own bubbles.

Crea,ng A Career Por6olio Finals During feedback, everyone felt creaFng a world inside a head was too cliché but everyone quite liked the objects acFng as the world. So I went from that to creaFng a basic cube shape and a small gender neutral character to place inside.

I chose to make it using blue gouache because the colour was far stronger and quicker to use than ink (my original medium of choice). It also scans in really well to Photoshop which is what I used to adjust the levels but retain that hand made feel.

Revival of Cra:s in An Age Of Digital Advancement Finals

AQer creaFng the career porNolio spot illustraFon, I thought about carrying on using cubes but it felt too boring to keep the shapes the same. Instead I opted to keep the yellow running line and small character inside as something that linked all three. For ‘revival’ I researched how to draw an Icosahedron and pracFced that. Once I had figured out how to draw it, I used gouache again to keep the lines bold. I took it into Photoshop to adjust the brightness and get rid of the pencil marks.

Careers in The Arts and Crea,ve Industry Finals

For careers in the industry, I decided to choose green for the main colour, that way I could sFll use the yellow line running through it as the thing that linked them. It was the same process as the other two except I changed the angle on this one because it looked too plain straight.
