LID SUPPORT EARNS THE CONSUMER PRODUCT SAFETY COMMISSION APPROVAL
Properly installed, the support dampens the opening and closing of a lid. Easily installed by mounting the bottom bracket first, then, holding the lid at about 85° mark and fasten the upper bracket. To find the appropriate torque for your application, multiply half the distance (in inches) from the front to the back of the lid times the weight of the lid (in lbs.). That number is the torque.
