“Inflammation plays a key role in many diseases, some of which are becoming more common and severe,” according to the National Health Institute. Chronic inflammatory diseases contribute to more than half of deaths worldwide. In fact, heart disease, diabetes II, rheumatoid arthritis, colon cancer, high blood pressure, many gastrointestinal disorders, lung diseases, neurodegenerative diseases, and mental illnesses, like depression, are all caused by long-term inflammation. The good news is that there is much we can do to reduce it. In this session, Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist and Sun City Summerlin resident, Karen Callahan, will walk you through the lifestyle and diet choices that help reduce chronic inflammation . . . and the disease conditions caused by it.
