In this issue, other than the popular doctors words, we are celebrating Canada Day, July 1 with pride and passion. This is a day which is celebrated on a magnanimous across the length and breadth of the country, and we I tried to capture the essence of the day through a special article on Canada Day. Interestingly, June has been a month of celebrations. Toronto Raptors creating history in the NBA Finals, was a moment of utter joy and celebration. Apart from Toronto, the city of Surrey too witnessed extensive celebration, celebrating the victory of the team which created history by becoming the first Canadian team to reach NBA finals after rallying past the Milwaukee Bucks 100-94 in Game 6. The entire team of Entertainment Magazine has worked relentlessly to bring forth this issue, which is an interesting mix of topics including gossip, health, education and wellness. I hope to stand high and rise above the expectations of our readers. I will be delivering a lot more in the July issue, which will not only come in a new look from the outside, the inside presentation and article variation is something you must watch out for. SMILE PLEASE! A
gummy smile, technically referred to as excessive gingival display, is when a person smiles and shows too much of their gums above the top of the front teeth. It can be a source of insecurity for some people and make their smile less aesthetically appealing. As a Surrey-based Orthodontist, I get a lot of queries from the patients visiting the office. Surprisingly, most of them are under the impression that it cannot be fixed! Fortunately, as with most orthodontic and dental issues, this problem can be solved. However, the options generally depend upon what the underlying cause of the gummy smile is. Yet, once we pinpoint a cause, we can start on the path of creating a smile you’re proud to show off.
All about Gummy Smile
What is actually considered an excessive gingival display varies and studies have shown that people differ in their aesthetic perception of gummy smiles. Yet, most will rate a smile as appealing in cases where less than 3mm of gum tissue is exposed. What this means in simpler terms is that a smile is often considered gummy and rated unattractivewhen approximately 1/8 of an inch of gum tissue or more is visible.
If the upper lip is too short or is hyperactive, surgery can be performed to lengthen it and limit the retraction of the muscles when smiling. Lip repositioning procedures paired with orthodontic treatment have started to become a viable alternative to jaw surgery in certain instances. There are other less invasive treatments like Botox injections, which paralyze the muscles and prevent the lip from lifting too high when smiling. However, the results of Botox are only temporary. When a gummy smile is from large gums, a periodontist can remove the extra tissue. For teeth that haven’t fully erupted, crown-lengthening surgery will remedy the problem. In this procedure, gum tissue, bone, or both, are removed to expose more
of the tooth and allow the gums to retract back to a desirable position.

Causes
There are a number of conditions that can cause a gummy smile, however, they tend to boil down to a few main contributing factors: The Jaw and Teeth: When the upper jaw is too long, it’s known as vertical maxillary excess and it can create a gummy smile. This is a skeletal issue. Worn teeth or teeth that are too long may also disrupt the ratio of gum to tooth. Lips: The lips can play a role in excessive gingival display. When the top lip is too short it may fail to cover the gums and teeth properly or lip hypermobility can be a cause. This is when the upper lip is normal in length while a person’s face is at rest but is overly active and lifts up too high when they smile revealing excessive gum tissue. The Gums: The problem can occur if gums are too long or enlarged (gingival hypertrophy). It could also manifest if the teeth don’t erupt fully which makes them appear shorter because excess gum tissue is covering the crown.
The correct step
Gummy smile treatment options depend on what’s causing it and how severe the problem is. If the upper jaw or teeth are only a little bit too long, sometimes braces or Invisalign alone or braces with temporary anchorage devices (TADS) can do the trick. When worn teeth are the culprits, orthodontic treatment followed by crowns can restore the appearance of the smile. If the cause is skeletal and moderate to severe, jaw surgery combined with orthodontic treatment may be the answer. This will create the most dramatic, stable results.

t is likely that one can spot any difference between fashion and style as both are more or less correlated. Both terms are interchangeably used for each other but there’s one major difference between the two. Fashion is disposable while style isn’t because it is your personal choice. Today’s world emphasizes on fast fashion forcing customers to spend more money of clothes, only to impress those around you and win approval. Brands like Zara, Forever 21, and H&M have embraced fast fashion and produce over 100 micro trends every year instead of two to four major trends every 12 months.
Pace of change
Both, style and fashion, change over time but style lasts for a long time and isn’t affected by latest fashion trends. Fashion changes every season and is inspired by the season’s colours and styles. It is designed to take away our attention from yourself, which eventually bores you out, so you move on to a new fashion trend next season.
Quality of materials used
Since style is meant to be sustainable and used for a long time, the materials used are of a superior quality. The clothes are well-designed and wellmade, which makes them more expensive compared to fast fashion products. Even though price isn’t the best way to judge the quality of a clothing price, setting your budget per item controls your urge of impulsive buying. In the long run, sustainable
products are more affordable in the long run. Fast fashion is cheap, which encourages us to purchase clothes often but they aren’t well-made and never considered equal to being stylish.

in March 2018, she suffered an attack following which she was taken to the stroke centre of a hospital and the doctors immediately performed surgery since her condition was critical due to the rupture of one of the blood vessels in brain and, expected rupture of another vessel. Thereafter, she was shifted to the ICU for a considerable period of time before being transferred to the ward and even after that, to another hospital. Even after her discharge from the hospital, she was monitored closely by the specialist physician. In the hospital discharge report, it was reported that the patient had suffered from Subarachnoid Haemorrhage and rupture of a PCOM aneurysm. It was evident that the client had suffered a severe stroke of great magnanimity. But, when the claim was submitted, the analyst somehow denied it by referring to one of the sentences in the hospital discharge report as ‘claim exclusion’. The client was left in acute financial stress along with the impact of the great physical and mental pain that she had undergone recently. Immediately, our claims assistance department intervened and after mutual discussion, we persuasively communicated with insurance company by interpreting in detail the medical evidence in the right context. This made the company reevaluate its decision by taking into account the unseen factors. After the submission of further supportive medical evidence as and when asked by the company, and with regular follow ups, we succeeded in turning the decision in favour of the client. This is only one of the numerous cases in which we have succeeded in getting the claim approved for the client by putting forth evidence in a plausible manner. appy Canada Day! On July 1, 1867, the nation was officially born when the Constitution Act joined three provinces into one country: Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and the Canada province, which later split into Ontario and Quebec. However, Canada was not completely independent of England until 1982.

hree harsh truths about love -
The problem with idealizing love is that it causes us to develop unrealistic expectations about what love actually is and what it can do for us. These unrealistic expectations then sabotage the relationships we hold dear in the first place. Allow me to illustrate:
Love does not equal to compatibility
Just because you fall in love with someone doesn’t necessarily mean they’re a good partner for you to be with over the long term. Love is an emotional process; compatibility is a logical process. And the two don’t bleed into one another very well. It’s possible to fall in love with somebody who doesn’t treat us well, who makes us feel worse about ourselves, who doesn’t hold the same respect for us as we do for them, or who has such a dysfunctional life themselves that they threaten to bring us down with them. It’s possible to fall in love with somebody who has different ambitions or life goals that are contradictory to our own, who holds different philosophical beliefs or worldviews that clash with our own sense of reality. It’s possible to fall in love with somebody who sucks for us and our happiness. That may sound paradoxical, but it’s true. When I think of all of the disastrous relationships

I’ve seen or people have emailed me about, many (or most) of them were entered into on the basis of emotion — they felt that “spark” and so they just dove in head first. Forget that he was a born-again Christian alcoholic and she was an acid-dropping bisexual necrophiliac. It just felt right. And then six months later, when she’s throwing his shit out onto the lawn and he’s praying to Jesus twelve times a day for her salvation, they look around and wonder, “Gee, where did it go wrong?” The truth is, it went wrong before it even began. When dating and looking for a partner, you must use not only your heart, but your mind. Yes, you want to find someone who makes your heart flutter and your farts smell like cherry popsicles. But you also need to evaluate a person’s values, how they treat themselves, how they treat those close to them, their ambitions and their worldviews in general. Because if you fall in love with someone who is incompatible with you…well, as the ski instructor from South Park once said, you’re going to have a bad time.
Love does not solve your relationship problems My first girlfriend and I were madly in love with each other. We also lived in different cities, had no money to see each other, had families who hated each other, and went through weekly bouts of meaningless drama and fighting. And every time we fought, we’d
come back to each other the next day and make up and remind each other how crazy we were about one another and that none of those little things matter because we’re omg soo in love and we’ll find a way to work it out and everything will be great, just you wait and see. Our love made us feel like we were overcoming our issues, when on a practical level, absolutely nothing had changed.

As you can imagine, none of our problems got resolved. The fights repeated themselves. The arguments got worse. Our inability to ever see each other hung around our necks like an albatross. Looking back, there was no hope that it was going to last. Yet we kept it up for three fucking years!
But the question that doesn’t get asked often enough is exactly what are you sacrificing, and is it worth it?
After all, love conquers all, right? Unsurprisingly, that relationship burst into flames and crashed like the Hindenburg into an oil patch. The break up was ugly. And the big lesson I took away from it was this: while love may make you feel better about your relationship problems, it doesn’t actually solve any of your relationship problems. This is how a toxic relationship works. The roller coaster of emotions are intoxicating, each high feeling even more important and more valid than the one before, but unless there’s a
Love is not always worth sacrificing yourself One of the defining characteristics of loving someone is that you are able to think outside of yourself and your own needs to help care for another person and their needs as well.
In loving relationships, it’s normal for both people to occasionally sacrifice their own desires, their own needs, and their own time for one another. I would argue that this is normal and healthy and a big part of what makes a relationship so great. But when it comes to sacrificing one’s self-respect, one’s dignity, one’s physical body, one’s ambitions and life purpose, just to be with someone, then that same love becomes problematic. A loving relationship is supposed to supplement our individual identity, not damage it or replace it. If we find ourselves in situations where we’re tolerating disrespectful or abusive behavior, then that’s essentially what we’re doing: we’re allowing our love to consume us and negate us, and if we’re not careful, it will leave us as a shell of the person we once were. हमारी सेहत हमारे आहार पर निर्भर करती है। सब्जियां, फल शरीर में विटामिन की कमी को पूरा करता है। इनमें से एक है आवला, जिसे खाने से हमारे शरीर में मोजूद बेक्टिरियां आदिसब खत्म हो जाते है। जो हमारे लिए दवा का काम करता है। आं वला को प्राचीन आयुर्वेदिक प्रणाली में कई तरह के रोगों के इलाज के लिए लगभग पांच हजार साल से इस्त ेमाल किया जा रहा है। इसका नियमित सेवन दिल की बीमारी, डायबिटीज, बवासीर, अल्सर, दमा, ब्रॉन्काइटिस और फेफड़ों की बीमारी में राम बाण का काम करता है। पतंजलि योगपीठ हरिद्वार के आचार्य बालकृष्ण ने कहा कि आं वला के सेवन से बुढ़ापा दू र रहता है, यौवन बरकरार रहता है, पाचन तंत्र दुरुस्त रहता है, आं खों की रोशनी, स्मरण शक्ति बढ़ती है, त्वचा और बालों को पोषण मिलता है।इसी तरह आं वला चूर्ण 3 से 6 ग्राम लेकर आं वले के स्वरस और 2 चम्मच शहद और 1 चम्मच घी के साथ दिन में दो बार चटाकर दू ध पीयें, इससे बुढ़ापा जाता है, आप जवान बने रहते हैं। आं वला, रीठा, शिकाकाई तीनों का काथ बनाकर सिर धोने से बाल मुलायम, घने और लंबे होते हैं। सूखे आं वले 30 ग्राम, बहेड़ा 10 ग्राम, आम की गुठली की गिरी 50 ग्राम और लोह चूर्ण 10 ग्राम रातभर कढ़ाई में भिगोकर रखें और बालों पर इसका लेप लगाने से छोटी उम्र में सफेद हुए बाल कुछ ही दिनों में काले पड़ जाते हैं।

रत वैश्विक स्तर पर दहन आधारित तंबाकू उत्पादों का दू सरा सबसे बड़ा उपभोक्ता है और तंबाकू से संबंधित बीमारी के कारण प्रतिवर्ष दस लाख से अधिक लोगों की मौत हो जाती है। भारी भरकम कर लगाए जाने, कड़ी चेतावनी वाले लेबल लगाए जाने के बावजूद तंबाकू के उपयोग में गिरावट नहीं देखी जा रही है। किशोरावस्था में धूम्रपान अब देश में एक महामारी है। विश्व स्वास्थ्य संगठन के अनुसार, भारत दुनिया के 12 प्रतिशत धूम्रपान करने वालों का घर है, जो 12 करोड़ धूम्रपान करने वालों का है। भारत में हर साल तंबाकू के सेवन के कारण 10 लाख से अधिक लोगों की मृत्यु हो जाती है। चौंका देने वाले आं कड़ों से यह भी पता चलता है कि भारत में 16 साल से कम उम्र के 24 फीसदी बच्चों ने पिछले कुछ समय में तंबाकू का इस्तेमाल किया है और 14 फीसदी लोग अभी भी तंबाकू उत्पादों का इस्तेमाल कर रहे हैं। कई युवा हर साल इन आदतों को उठाते हैं -वास्तव में, सभी वयस्क धूम्रपान करने वालों में से 90 प्रतिशत बच्चों के होने पर शुरू हुए। धूम्रपान और तंबाकू का सेवन हर शरीर की प्रणाली को नुकसान पहुंचा सकता है और हृदय रोग, स्ट्रोक, वातस्फीति (फेफड़ों के ऊतकों का टू टना), और कई प्रकार के कैंसर जैसे - फेफड़े, गले, पेट और मूत्राशय के कैंसर जैसी स्वास्थ्य समस्याओं को जन्म दे सकता है। जो लोग धूम्रपान करते हैं उन्हें ब्रोंकाइटिस और निमोनिया जैसे संक्रमणों का खतरा बढ़ जाता है। इन घातक बीमारियों के अलावा, कई अन्य परिणाम हैं जिनके बारे
में लोगों को जानकारी नहीं है। अंधापन, टाइप 2 मधुमेह, स्तंभन दोष, अस्थानिक गर्भावस्था, मसूड़ों के रोग धूम्रपान के कुछ अन्य प्रभाव हैं। तंबाकू का उपयोग आपके मुंह के कैंसर के खतरे को भी बढ़ाता है, जो आपके सिर और गर्दन में रक्त वाहिकाओं और लिम्फ नोड् स की प्रचुरता के कारण आक्रामक हो सकता है। अंत में, दांतों पर धूम्रपान के प्रभाव से दांत सड़ सकते हैं, और पुनस्र्थापनात्मक दंत चिकित्सा के साथ एक चुनौती हो सकती है, क्योंकि तंबाकू दांतों के मलिन किरण का कारण बनता है।

जो युवा गैजेट्स का इस्तेमाल अधिक करते हैं और लंबे समय तक एक ही पोजीशन में बैठकर काम करते हैं, उन्हें ‘रिपिटिटिव इन्जरी’ होने की आशंका बढ़ जाती है। इस प्रकार के 80 प्रतिशत मामलों का समाधान जीवनशैली में बदलाव से किया जा सकता है, जैसे अच्छा पोषण और भरपूर व्यायाम आदि अपनाकर। 20 से 40 साल की उम्र वाले प्रोफेशनल्स के बीच रीढ़ से जुड़ी समस्याएं अधिक देखी जा रही हैं। रिपिटिटिव स्ट्रेस इन्जरी (आरएसआई) को बार-बार एक ही प्रकार की गतिशीलता और ओवर यूज की वजह से मांसपेशियों, टेंडंस और नव्र्स में दर्द के रूप में परिभाषित किया जाता है। इस स्थिति को ओवरयूज सिं ड्रोम, वर्क रिलेटेड अपर लिं ब डिसॉर्डर या नॉन-स्पेसिफिक अपर लिं ब के रूप में भी जाना जाता है। इस आयुवर्ग वाले अधिकतर लोग वर्किं ग प्रोफेशनल होते हैं जो ऑफिस पहुंचने के लंबी दू री तक यात्रा करके, ड्राइव

Preheat oven to 180c/360F. In a food processor, combine flour, sugar, cinnamon, salt and pulse until combined. Then slowly add the butter, pulsing until you get a coarse meal. Then slowly add the ice water and pulse until a dough ball form. Flatten dough into disks, wrap in wax paper and pop in the fridge for at least 10-15 minutes.
Roll the first disk of dough into a large circle, transfer and fit into an 8’ pie plate. Spoon the filling mixture into the crust. Decorative top and edge in desired pattern with the remaining dough. Mix 2 tbsp of coconut oil with 1 tbsp coconut caramel sauce. Brush pie with coconut oil mixture. Bake for 40-45 minutes until evenly browned and bubbling. Allow it to cool completely. Boil potatoes until just cooked. They should be firm and not mushy or soggy. Cool them. Grate or mash them in a mixing bowl. Make sure there are no chunks of aloo. Add coriander leaves and green chilies. Add ginger paste, garam masala, chaat masala, salt and red chili powder. Heat 1 tbsp ghee till very hot in a kadai. Pour that over the red chili powder to remove the raw flavor. Begin to mix and make a firm and non sticky ball. Divide the mixture to equal parts and make balls. Tip: Thin tikkis cook well and get crispy when fried. Flatten them and make the aloo tikki. Heat oil in a pan and fry them until golden. Keep flipping them to both the sides and fry. On top of each aaloo tikki put round bread slice and after that pour two tablespoon yogurt mix on each bread slice

Instructions
To make the crepes simply put all dry ingredients into a bowl and stir with a whisk. Process all wet ingredients (except the oil) in a food processor or blender.
Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl of dry ingredients and stir with a whisk to combine. Let the batter rest for 5 minutes. Heat a little bit oil in a small/medium sized non-stick skillet (mine has an inside diameter of 5 1/2 inches). Pour 1/4 cup of the batter into the skillet, swirl the batter around to coat the pan evenly. Cook for about 2-4 minutes or until you can easily lift a side of the crepe (don’t try to flip the crepe too early). After you flipped the crepe, cook for a further 1-2 minutes. After a while, the batter will get thicker, so you might need to add a splash of milk. Continue until you have no batter left.
To make the apple filling, put all ingredients in a skillet, stir and let simmer for a few minutes over low/medium heat. Add a few tsp of filling on each crepe, roll it up and serve with a drizzle of caramel sauce (see recipe below).

KETOGENIC DIET

Some people encourage ketosis by following a diet called the
ketogenic or low-carb diet.” In a layman’s’ language, our body is like a well-oiled machine, immaculately crafted by Vishwakarma ( Almighty). To run the machine on the rails of normalcy, in succession, down the lane of time- we need fuel in sequence. God has provided all of us with three types of fuel. As we run motor vehicles on gas, diesel or CNG; like wise three options are available to us in the following types of

Carbs, the energy boosters To put things in proper perspective: Carbohydrates, fats and proteins comprise 90 per cent of the dry weight of the diet and provide 100 per cent of its energy which is measured in calories.

From the 3 macronutrients mentioned above, carbohydrates and fats stand apart from proteins. These two macronutrients are the subject of many misconceptions when it comes to health and nutrition. Let’s understand how our bodies convert these substances into energy/ calories. Carbohydrates, consumed as food, are broken into sugars. Generally, sugars end up being broken down into glucose, fructose and galactose. One thing that separates carbs from proteins and fats is the rapid speed at which the body can process them. Certain carbohydrates can be converted into sugars and be present in your bloodstream for use as soon as 1 minute after you eat. This is why athletes prefer to eat carb-heavy meals before longer workouts. In essence, the body enters a state of glycolysis (for glucose) or fructolysis (for fructose) that converts these simple sugars into energy. Excess calories from sugar that don’t get used immediately are stored in the liver as glycogen. However, not all carbohydrates are equal. Always, keep this in mind.

Fats have unfairly received a poor reputation over the past years. For years, popular medical wisdom told us that fats were dangerous for our health and that they should be

avoided as much as possible. Now we’re beginning to understand that fats are a critical component of total body wellness, and they provide energy to fuel our bodily processes. And that Unsaturated fats are awfully healthy beyond an iota of doubt. When it comes to energy, fats are the slowest digesting of the three macronutrients, but they are also the most efficient. Every gram of dietary fat supplies the body with about 9 calories. To put things in perspective, protein and carbohydrates both supply 4 calories per gram. In the intestine, fats are broken down into fatty acids and glycerol. These fatty acid chains are converted into energy via a process called beta-oxidation.
Fat side story
How does dietary fat become visible body fat? The answer lies with the extra calories that the body don’t consume and store it. The body likes to store excess calories for emergency, in the waiting, even if that never happens in future. This leads to deposits in the abdomen, under the skin, and even in blood vessels and organs. Fat itself does not cause weight gain, but consuming more energy (in calories) than your body requires does. This is true regardless of whether the calories are coming from protein, carbohydrates or fats.

Where things go wrong
People sometimes blame carbohydrates and fats for various health issues. This Is preposterous. These two nutrients are vital sources of energy for our body. Carbohydrates and fats are not inherently unhealthy. The main cause behind many of these problems is over consumption without doing anything to convert the glucose and fatty acids into energy. ਪਾਸਤਾ ( ਪਕਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ) – 2 ਕਪ ਬੋਨਲੇਸ ਚਿਕਨ ( ਪਕਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ) – 1 ਕਪ ਜੈਤੂਨ ਤੇਲ – 2 ਚੰਮੱਚ ਨੀਂਬੂ ਦਾ ਰਸ – 1 ਚੰਮੱਚ ਲਾਲ ਮਿਰਚ – 1 ਚੰਮੱਚ ਲਸਣ – 8 – 10 ਲੂਣ – ਸਵਾਦ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਚੀਜ਼ – 1 ਚੰਮੱਚ ਤਾਜੀ ਕਰੀਮ – 2 ਚੰਮੱਚ
ਮਿੰਟ ਤੱਕ ਉੱਬਲ਼ਣ ਦਿਓ। ਜਦੋਂ ਦੁੱਧ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਉਣ ਲੱਗੇ ਤਾਂ ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਭੀਗੇ ਹੋਏ ਚਾਵਲ ਪਾਓ। ਚਾਵਲ ਨੂੰ 3– 4 ਮਿੰਟ ਤੱਕ ਪਕਨੇ ਦਿਓ। ਚਾਵਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੁਲਾਇਮ ਹੋਣ ਤੱਕ ਪਕਾਓ। ਪਿਸਤਾ, ਈਲਾਇਚੀ ਧੂੜਾ ਅਤੇ ਚੀਨੀ ਪਾ ਕੇ ਦੁੱਧ ਨੂੰ ਇਕ ਚਮਚ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹਿਲਾਂਦੇ ਰਹੋ।

पनीर (250 ग्राम ) गाजर (150 ग्राम) शिमला मिर्च (2) प्याज ( 2-3 ) जीरा (1/4 टी स्पून) टॉमेटो सॉस ( 6 टी स्पून ) अदरक-लहसुन का पेस्ट (1 टी स्पून ) सिरका (2 टी स्पून ) लाल मिर्च (4 साबुत) लाल मिर्च पाउडर (1 टेबल स्पून ) नमक (स्वादानुसार) तेल (5-6 टेबल स्पून)
पनीर जालफ्रेजी बनाने की विधिः
गैस में एक पैन चढ़ाएं और इसमें तेल डालें। तेल गर्म होने के बाद इसमें जीरा डाल दें और इसे चटकने दें। जीरा के चटकने के बाद इसमें लाल मिर्च और प्याज डाल दें और फ्राई करें। जब प्याज का रंग हल्का ब्राउन हो जाए तो इसमें लाल मिर्च पाउडर, सिरका, लहसुन-अदरक का पेस्ट डालें और थोड़ी देर तक भूनें। अब इसमें पनीर, शिमला मिर्च और गाजर के टु कड़े डाल दें और 2 मिनट तक भूनें। अब इसमें टॉमेटो सॉस डालें और इसमें नमक डालकर फिर इसे थोड़ी देर पकाएं । गाजर और शिमला मिर्च का एकएक पीस निकालें और फिर ठं डा होने पर हाथों से चेक करें, अगर यह पक गए हैं तो गैस बंद कर दें और गर्मा गर्म रोटी या चावल के साथ सर्व करें। लेखक: साजन कुमार

बनाने की विधि
एक कटोरे में कॉर्नस्टार्च और मैदे को मिला लें, इसमें नमक मिलाएं , काली मिर्च पाउडर मिलाएं और इसका हल्का गाढ़ा घोल तैयार कर लें। अब घोल में कद्दूकस किया हुआ बंद गोभी, फूलगोभी और पत्तागोभी मिला लें। अब एक पैन में तेल गर्म करें और तैयार मिश्रण के छोटे-छोटे बॉल तैयार कर तेल में सुनहरा होने तक डीप फ्राई करें। अब इसे टिशू पेपर पर निकाल लें ताकि इसका तेल टिशू सोख ले। अब एक अलग पैन में 2 टेबल स्पून ऑयल लें इसमें लहसुन, अदरक और प्याज डालें। प्याज को मीडियम आं च में पकाएं अब इसमें शिमला मिर्च, गाजर डालें 2 मिनट पकाने के बाद इसमें विनेगर, सोया सॉस, चिली सॉस और रेड चिली सॉस डालें। थोड़ा पकाने के बाद इसमें तैयार मंचूरियन बॉल को इसमें डाल दें। तैयार वेज ड्राई मंचूरियन को गर्मा-गर्म सर्व करें। लेखक: साजन कुमार

What's your
RELATIONSHIP CONTRACT?
O
n any given day, we engage in a number of activities which require us to agree to the “Terms and Conditions.” We enter into contracts with apps, cell phone providers, utility companies, banks, credit card companies, landlords, doctors, pharmacies... We have warranties and insurance policies on the goods we buy; which stipulate the terms and conditions for the care or replacement of said items. Just about everything in an American life has some kind of contract or agreement.
Like most things, our relationships have contracts—
Though they tend to be covert or unspoken. Even with married couples, who recited specific vows at their wedding, many still have unspoken agreements in their relationship that weren’t included in their vows. I am aware that there are legal marriage contracts, drawn up by lawyers; however, those are not the types of contracts I’m talking about here. These are more about the day-to-day relationship agreements that a couple adheres to in the creation of building and living a happy and fulfilling life together. In learning about relationship agreements in graduate school, one of my professors handed out “marriage contracts” and had us complete them individually. However, before we’d known what we were about to do, we were told to choose anyone in the class to pair up with for an exercise. Naturally, most people picked a close friend. I don’t remember exactly what was on them, but in general, it had things like the following:

Expectation of the type of relationship (e.g., monogamous, polyamorous, open, etc.)
Geographic area where I’d like to live _____ Where I work and hours per week at work _______ Expectations of partner working inside or outside of the home _____ Who I expect will primarily handle paying the bills, finances, etc. _____ What kind of lifestyle we live (e.g., modest, lavish, frequency of vacations and travel, etc.) _____ How frequently do I expect my partner and I will interact with friends, both individually and as a couple _____ If children are desired, how many _____ What, if any, expectations are there about frequency of sexual intimacy _____ What a partner can do that makes me feel most loved and cared for in a relationship _____ What kinds of activities do I expect my partner to join me in doing ______ What hobbies do I expect to enjoy on my own ______ What type of self-care activities do I need throughout the week; what type of self-care activities do I expect from a partner throughout the week _____ What is my retirement plan, including location if applicable _______
After we had all completed the document, we were then instructed to get together with the person we’d chose, and negotiate a working “marriage contract,” based on the answers we’d given to those questions. In my case, I had picked a very close male friend, who happened to also be gay. After much compromise and discussion, we did come up with a Marriage Contract; however, it certainly did not look like many of the more “traditional” agreements from others around the room! Unfortunately, there was one issue that we just couldn’t seem to come to an agreement on...you guessed it—he wanted to retire to the mountains and I wanted to retire to the beach. We decided to have our fictitious retirement homes in both locations. Like most things in life, I believe that the “terms and conditions” of these kinds of contracts are a bit fluid, and they can (and do) change over time. In general, I would suggest reviewing and revising your agreements every 6-12 months, depending on how long you’ve been together and various life events; which may impact the relationship. Regardless of decisions to revise, I think it’s wise to keep it in a location where will be seen from time to time, as it’s always good to have these reminders. Writing a relationship agreement can be the catalyst for some much needed open and honest communication about personal and relational needs; including one’s sexual needs or desires. In the creation of a contract or agreement, I encourage couples to not just think about the “obvious” things—like sex, kids, religion,
and money—but the less commonly discussed topics as well—like how to handle disagreements or arguments; emotional fulfillment, and meeting the other’s needs. Depending on your personal needs and values, some things may be much more important than others. My question for any who are currently in a relationship and reading this now is, “What’s in your relationship contract?” What have you and your partner verbally or nonverbally agreed to? If you’re married, what were your vows? Do they accurately reflect the expectations you have of yourself and your partner in the marriage? If not, in what ways do they need additions or revisions? Are there consequences for breaking an agreement in your contract? This is a great question for couples to think about. I encourage couples to view the contract as more of a set of intentions, guidelines, expectations; and yes, a few may be deal breakers. The first step is known as ‘Avoidance’. In this step, the main goal is to increase any safety measures that can help your pet feel at ease and more calm. As the name suggests, try to avoid the specific stimuli at all costs. If your dog does not like other dogs, then avoid him from coming into contact with other dogs or strangers. If you are on a walk and you can see from afar that another dog is approaching, quickly turn around and avoid the situation from occurring. This means that starting from this point in the treatment, you should make it a strong rule that your furry companion will have to earn any rewards he wants. If he displays the wanted behavior and simple commands of ‘sit’ and ‘stay’, only then will he receive his favorite toy or desired treats. Secondarily, network with friends and members of various communities, such as by joining clubs and attending events to widen exposure. antorini, Greece, may be the most melodramatic of all the Greek islands. One of the biggest volcanic eruptions ever blew out the center of island, which is now crescent shaped, with a dramatic landscape of cliffs towering over an enormous crater. Its two principal towns, Fira and Oia, are perched on the edge of the caldera and overlook the Mediterranean. The best way to arrive is by arriving by boat at the smaller port of Skala, whose spectacular harbor is part of that volcanic crater. It’s a scene vibrant with color and contrast. White-washed villages stand out against the dusky greens and red earth of the island; endless blue skies soar above; the bottomless blue of the Mediterranean lies below. Tourism is big business in Santorini, you’ll find plenty

of shops (especially jewelry shops) restaurants and discos in Fira and Oia. Wandering their steep, winding streets and gives you views of both the sea and infinity pools, as well as major landmarks such as Fira’s two cathedrals, Catholic and Orthodox. There are also several archeological and prehistoric museums, as well as a folklore museum.

Night owls can ‘retrain’ their

to improve MENTAL WELL-BEING

ight owls’ are individuals whose internal body clock dictates later-than-usual sleep and wake times -- in this study participants had an average bedtime of 2.30 am and wakeup time of 10.15 am. A simple tweak to the sleeping patterns of ‘night owls’ – people with extreme late sleeping and waking habits – may improve performance in the mornings, and reduce depression and stress, a study has found. The research, published in the journal Sleep Medicine, showed that, over a three-week period, it was possible to shift the circadian rhythm of ‘night owls’ using non-pharmacological and practical interventions. The researchers from University of Birmingham and University of Surrey in the UK, and Monash University in Australia, showed that participants were able to bring forward their sleep/wake timings by two hours, while having no negative effect on sleep duration. In addition, participants

reported a decrease in feelings of depression and stress, as well as in daytime sleepiness. “Our research findings highlight the ability of a simple nonpharmacological intervention to phase advance ‘night owls’, reduce negative elements of mental health and sleepiness, as well as manipulate peak performance times in the real world,” said Elise Facer-Childs from Monash University. ‘Night owls’ are individuals whose internal body clock dictates later-than-usual sleep and wake times — in this study participants had an average bedtime of 2.30 am and wakeup time of 10.15 am. Disturbances to the sleep/wake system have been linked to a variety of health issues, including mood swings, increased morbidity and mortality rates, and declines in cognitive and physical performance. “Having a late sleep pattern puts you at odds with the standard societal days, which can lead to a range of adverse outcomes — from daytime
sleepiness to poorer mental wellbeing,” said Andrew Bagshaw from the University of Birmingham. “We wanted to see if there were simple things people could do at home to solve this issue. This was successful, on average allowing people to get to sleep and wake up around two hours earlier than they were before,” said Bagshaw. “Most interestingly, this was also associated with improvements in mental wellbeing and perceived sleepiness, meaning that it was a very positive outcome for the participants,” he said. “We now need to understand how habitual sleep patterns are related to the brain, how this links with mental wellbeing and whether the interventions lead to long-term changes,” he added. Twenty-two healthy individuals participated in the study. For a period of three weeks participants in the experimental group were asked to wake up 2-3 hours before regular wake
up time and maximise outdoor light during the mornings. The were also asked to go to bed 2-3 hours before habitual bedtime and limit light exposure in the evening; keep sleep/wake times fixed on both work days and free days; have breakfast as soon as possible after waking up, eat lunch at the same time each day, and refrain from eating dinner after 7 pm. The results highlighted an increase in cognitive (reaction time) and physical (grip strength) performance during the morning when tiredness is often very high in ‘night owls’, as well as a shift in peak performance times from evening to afternoon. It also increased the number of days in which breakfast was consumed and led to better mental well-being, with participants reporting a decrease in feelings of stress and depression. Reading books is a great passion and I want to highlight the benefits of reading good books and its effect on our mental health. Studies show reading as a form of therapy to be useful in the treatment of depression, mild alcohol abuse, anxiety, eating disorders, and communication issues. Most professionals agree reading is a productive activity that can promote good mental health, as reading has been shown to increase empathy, sharpen the mind, and impact behavior. The film will be set in the 1980s and 1990s and will chronicle the journey of the city of dreams from Bombay to Mumbai. The fictionalised tale will involve key events like the closing of mills, murder of a key businessman, the nexus between politicians, cops, the underworld and the business fraternity.
His last release Kaabil, featuring Hrithik Roshan and Yami Gautam, earned over Rs 100 crore in India and was recently released in China. The yet-to-be-titled gangster drama will go on floors in July and is expected to hit theaters in 2020.
Kapil Dev in the film shared a picture from the training session on Instagram. The cast is being trained by former cricketers Balwinder Sandhu and Yashpal Sharma. “The entire team is training. Veteran Test cricketer Balwinder Singh Sandhu is our coach, several cricket experts are coming in. Kapil Dev sir, Madan Lal sir, all the 1983 cricketers will come. I’m enjoying a lot. It’s like a boot camp. Everyone trains for three hours, there’s physical and skill training as well,” Kabir Khan added. He also announced that the major shooting of the film will start in England in May
2019. The principal photography of the film started on June 5 in Glasgow, Dulwich college in London, Edinburgh cricket club, Nevill Ground at Royal Tunbridge Wells in Kent and The Oval cricket ground. The director Kabir Khan in an official statement said, “Now that it’s going on the floors, starting with the Glasgow schedule, everyone’s excited to recreate a journey that made history, all thanks to our cricketing heroes of the ’83 team.” On May 28 the cast of film 83 flew to London for filming. In mid- June Deepika Padukone joined film team in Glasgow for her part of shooting. 83 is expected to release on April 10, 2020.

An entertaining but exhausting odyssey Renuka Vyavahare Critic’s Rating:
Bharat Review: An official adaptation of South Korean drama Ode to my Father (2014), Bharat focuses on the personal and professional choices of its righteous hero, set against the social
backdrop of its time. Separated from his father and sister during the Indo-Pak partition in 1947 as a child, Bharat decides to dedicate his entire life to keeping the promise he’d made to his missing father. He takes it upon himself as the eldest son of the house to look after his
mother and siblings, hoping their family would reunite some day. From 1947 to 2010, the narrative traverses a period of over six decades. You see Bharat jumping risky odd jobs to make ends meet. He even falls in love with the feisty Kumud (Katrina Kaif), who is brave and honest enough to make the first move on him. “I love you. Shaadi ki umra ho gayi hai meri. Tumse shaadi karna chahti hoon,” she says without batting an eye. She proposes marriage without fearing rejection. “I do and say what I think is right,” she adds and doesn’t mind teasing Salman, “Tum thodey self-obsessed nahi ho?” She was impressive even in Zero and Bharat is Katrina’s best acting part till date. Her chemistry with Salman feels natural and she does a good job at portraying a woman who is self assured without being cocky. She is equal, even superior to her man and Ali Abbas Zafar makes no bones about it. Her hair is a different story though. The grey streaks are inconsistent as her character ages and the unruly curls feel unnecessary. What also stands out in Ali’s writing is how he places Sunil Grover’s character as Vilayati, Bharat’s best friend and confidante. Our best friends are our soulmates, constant companions and it reflects here beautifully. Grover does compete justice to his wellwritten role and deserves

more such significant parts. Sonali Kulkarni and Jackie Shroff are terrific as always. Interestingly, there’s a hidden Sooraj Barjatya in Salman Khan, somewhere. In times of the ‘hookup culture’ being glorified in movies and web shows, his films with old school values often aim to get the families together and that stands out. He acts well and looks good. Salman’s extreme closeness to his real family (parents and siblings), makes him ideal to play Bharat as he embodies his character’s traits, thus making it more convincing. Ali on the contrary, plays a balancing act. He infuses emotions with ample fun Salman elements that will get his diehard fans to whistle. He mounts the meandering story in an unhurried manner on a huge canvas. While he manages to keep you hooked despite his complex source material and misplaced songs, Bharat has too many things happening at once and too many time leaps. This eventually makes the movie an exhausting, scattered watch despite the entertainment, humour and nobility it propagates. Also, the ‘intention to inspire’ is a bit in your face. While emotional manipulation happens in every film, the fact that it’s evident here makes it a tad overbearing. The reverence is blatant. A little subtlety and crisp editing

Sometimes, superheroes aren’t willing to do what it takes to take down the bad guys. This fall, that will change with the launch of Marvel’s latest team of comic book antiheroes, Strikeforce. The new series is the latest in a long line of Marvel super-teams created to do dirty work, with previous examples including multiple iterations of X-Force and the
2012 reboot of Thunderbolts; in May, Marvel launched the Savage Avengers comic book series, described by executive editor Tom Brevoort as featuring “all of the biggest badasses of the Marvel Universe brought together uneasily in one explosive series.”

सुष्मिता सेन काफी लंबे समय से फिल्मों से दू र है। वर्ष 2010 में सुष्मिता की फिल्म नो प्रोब्लम रिलीज हुई थी। इसके बाद ङ्ग0ङ्क5 में सुष्मिता बंगाली फिल्म निर्बाक में दिखी थीं। सुष्मिता ने 2015 में फिल्मी दुनिया से ब्रेक लेने का फैसला कर लिया था। इसी साल उन्होंने छोटी बेटी अलीषा को गोद लिया था। सुष्मिता ने बताया कि बेटी को अडॉप्ट करने के बाद उन्होंने फिल्मों से दू री बनाने का फैसला किया था।
शाहरुख ने यह भी कहा कि इस तस्वीर को उन्होंने इसलिए साझा किया है क्योंकि ये दोनों फिल्म निर्माता उनकी जिं दगी में अहम स्थान रखते हैं। शाहरुख, ‘कुछ कुछ होता है’, ‘कभी खुशी कभी गम’ और ‘माई नेम इज खान’ जैसी फिल्मों में करण के साथ काम कर चुके हैं। इसके साथ ही शाहरुख ‘दिलवाले दुल्हनिया ले जाएं गे’, ‘जब तक है जान’, ‘वीर-जारा’ और ‘रब ने बना दी जोड़ी’ सहित कई और मशहूर फिल्मों में आदित्य चोपड़ा संग काम कर चुके हैं। शाहरुख को आखिरी बार आनंद एल. राय की फिल्म ‘जीरो’ में देखा गया था जिसमें उनके साथ अनुष्का शर्मा और कैटरीना कैफ भी थीं।
