ment, typically covering a percentage of your pre-disability earnings. By receiving monthly disability benefits, you can alleviate the financial strain that arises from being unable to work. It’s important to note that disability insurance policies may have different definitions of disability, waiting periods, and benefit durations. Hence, selecting a policy that aligns with your specific needs and circumstances is essential.
In today’s uncertain world, it is crucial for young Canadians to prioritize their financial security and plan for the future. Safeguarding yourself and your loved ones from unforeseen circumstances should be a top concern, particularly if you have substantial assets and want to ensure your family’s financial well-being. Among the various options available, life insurance, disability insurance, and critical illness insurance stand out as powerful tools that can provide comprehensive coverage and peace of mind.
life Insurance: Ensuring a secure future for Your loved ones
Life insurance serves as a fundamental pillar of financial protection, guaranteeing that your loved ones will be financially secure in the event of your untimely demise. By obtaining a life insurance policy, you create a safety net that shields your family from potential burdens such as debt, mortgage payments, educational expenses, and other financial obligations that may arise after your passing.
One of the significant advantages of life insurance is its ability to provide a tax-free lump sum payment, known as the death benefit, to your beneficiaries. This financial resource can help your loved ones maintain their standard of living, settle debts, and achieve their long-term goals even without your presence.
Life insurance policies can be customized to suit your specific needs, offering options like term life insurance, whole life insurance, or universal life insurance.
Disability Insurance: safeguarding Your Income and lifestyle
While the concern of untimely demise is significant, it is equally crucial to consider the potential impact of a disabling injury or illness. Disability insurance offers vital protection by replacing a portion of your income if you become unable to work due to a covered disability. This coverage ensures that you can maintain your lifestyle, fulfill your financial obligations, and support your family even in the face of a temporary or permanent disability.
Disability insurance policies are designed to provide income replace-

From sustainable fabrics to bold color combinations and personalized embroidery, these trends will help you create a unique and memorable look that showcases your individual style. Whether you are a bride-to-be or simply a lover of fashion, these trends will inspire you to embrace the beauty and artistry of the wedding sari.
Bold colors: Move away from traditional reds and experiment with vibrant colors like deep purple, emerald green, or royal blue for a unique and modern twist. While bold colors can suit anyone, it’s essential to consider your skin tone when choosing the right shade.
Intricate Embroidery: Opt for saris adorned with intricate embroidery work, such as zardozi, mirror work, or threadwork, to add a touch of opulence and elegance to your wedding ensemble. For example, opt for Chikankari from Lucknow, Zardozi from Varanasi, or Kantha from West Bengal. This adds a unique cultural element to your sari.
Contemporary Drapes: Explore unconventional draping styles like the butterfly drape or the modern half-sari drape, which give a contemporary edge to the traditional sari and create a distinct look. Add a stylish and contemporary twist to your sari by accessorizing it with a belt. Choose a statement belt in a complementary

color or metallic finish to cinch the waist and enhance your silhouette.
Mix and Match: Embrace the trend of mixing fabrics, patterns, and textures to create a oneof-a-kind wedding sari. Combine textiles like silk, chiffon, or organza to create a unique and interesting visual effect. Play with color combinations that are unexpected but harmonious. For instance, pair a pastel-colored sari with a vibrant, contrasting blouse.
fusion Blouses: Experiment with fusion blouse designs by incorporating elements from Western fashion. Consider off-shoulder styles, statement sleeves, or intricate back designs to add a contemporary touch to your wedding attire. Try a halter neck blouse for a sleek and sophisticated look. This style accentuates the shoulders and neckline, giving a contemporary and chic vibe to your sari.
floral Prints: Instead of traditional motifs, choose saris with bold and oversized floral prints. This trend adds a fresh and modern feel to your wedding look while maintaining a connection with nature. Select saris with a border featuring intricate floral designs. These embellishments catch the light beautifully and create a luxurious and eye-catching effect. Consider a sari with metallic printed motifs or designs. It is a plant that has been used for centuries as medicine and that feeds the body from the inside out. It has a lot of nutrients, aids in digestion, and even fortifies the immune system. Aloe vera can also be used topically, which means that one can use its gel to improve their skin, particularly their face and hair.
Helps soothe sunburn
Aloe Vera gel is anti-inflammatory and has cooling effects. As a result, it is one of the most organic treatments for burned or sunburned skin. Applying this gel helps the skin retain moisture and creates a protective layer for the skin. It is abundant in minerals and antioxidants, both of which speed up the healing process. So you may now use aloe vera to maintain the health of your summer skin.

Boosts healing of wounds
Aloe Vera is now well acknowledged to be quite helpful for burns, cuts, and other wounds. This is due to the fact that aloe vera speeds up and shortens the healing process for wounds. This is particularly true for burns of the first and second degrees. It works well for treating skin burns. Additionally, it aids in accelerating skin cell proliferation by up to eight times. Aloe Vera is also recognized for penetrating the epidermis, or the skin’s outer layer, faster than water.
fights skin-ageing
The gel of aloe vera is rich in beta-carotene and vitamins C and E. As a result, it contains anti-aging qualities. Additionally, it has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial qualities. Additionally, it aids in removing age spots and wrinkles from the skin. It also helps to improve skin elasticity and the body’s generation of collagen.
Reduces infection and acne
Aloe Vera offers relief to people who have acne. It aids in gentle washing and treats pimples with antibacterial characteristics without harming the skin. It is an antiseptic that offers bacterial protection. Gibberellins and polysaccharides are found in aloe vera. These promote the development of new cells while also reducing inflammation and redness. Additionally, it functions as an astringent, shrinking pores and clearing them of extra sebum, bacteria, and dirt.
Helps to moisturize the skin
It is our mission to make your trip to the dentist something to smile about. We work to make our clinic as inviting and welcoming a space as possible, and our dental care professionals always put your comfort first. Whether you are just coming in for a routine checkup or a more in-depth procedure, we’ll do everything we can to make your experience enjoyable and prioritize your needs.
Aloe Vera gel, when used as a moisturizing gel, does not leave a greasy film on the face or the skin, in contrast to typical, store-bought moisturizers. In actuality, it has the exact opposite effect-it opens up the pores and softens the skin.
It is a therapy that can be applied after shaving. This is due to the fact that Aloe Vera gel heals minor cuts and nicks as well as razor burns and keeps the skin nourished. Dry skin is also helped by it.

Depending on which valve isn’t working properly, valvular heart disease signs and symptoms generally include:
4Fatigue
4Shortness of breath
4Irregular heartbeat
4Swollen feet or ankles
4Chest pain
4Fainting (syncope
Risk factors
Risk factors for developing heart disease include:
4Age. Growing older increases your risk of damaged and narrowed arteries and a weakened or thickened heart muscle.
4sex. Men are generally at greater risk of heart disease. The risk for women increases after menopause.
4family history. A family history of heart disease increases your risk of coronary artery disease, especially if a parent developed it at an early age (before age 55 for a male relative, such as your brother or father, and 65 for a female relative, such as your mother or sister).
4smoking. Nicotine tightens your blood vessels, and carbon monoxide can damage their inner lining, making them more susceptible to atherosclerosis. Heart attacks are more common in smokers than in nonsmokers.
4Poor diet. A diet that’s high in fat, salt, sugar and cholesterol can contribute to the development of heart disease.
4High blood pressure. Uncontrolled high blood pressure can result in hardening and thickening of your arteries, narrowing the vessels through which blood flows.
4High blood cholesterol levels. High levels of cholesterol in your blood can increase the risk of plaque formation and atherosclerosis.
4Diabetes. Diabetes increases your risk of heart disease. Both conditions share similar risk factors, such as obesity and high blood pressure.
4obesity. Excess weight typically worsens other heart disease risk factors.
4Physical inactivity. Lack of exercise also

is associated with many forms of heart disease and some of its other risk factors as well.
4stress. Unrelieved stress may damage your arteries and worsen other risk factors for heart disease.
4Poor dental health. It’s important to brush and floss your teeth and gums often, and have regular dental checkups. If your teeth and gums aren’t healthy, germs can enter your bloodstream and travel to your heart, causing endocarditis.
Complications
Complications of heart disease include:
4Heart failure. One of the most common complications of heart disease, heart failure occurs when your heart can’t pump enough blood to meet your body’s needs. Heart failure can result from many forms of heart disease, including heart defects, cardiovascular disease, valvular heart disease, heart infections or cardiomyopathy.
4Heart attack. A blood clot blocking the blood flow through a blood vessel that feeds the heart causes a heart attack, possibly damaging or destroying a part of the heart muscle. Atherosclerosis can cause a heart attack.
4stroke. The risk factors that lead to cardiovascular disease can also lead to an ischemic stroke, which happens when the arteries to your brain are narrowed or blocked so that too little blood reaches your brain. A stroke is a medical emergency — brain tissue begins to die within just a few minutes of a stroke.
4Aneurysm. A serious complication that can occur anywhere in your body, an aneurysm is a bulge in the wall of your artery. If an aneurysm bursts, you may face life-threatening internal bleeding.
4Peripheral artery disease. When you develop peripheral artery disease, your extremities — usually your legs — don’t receive enough blood flow. This causes
symptoms, most notably leg pain when walking (claudication). Atherosclerosis also can lead to peripheral artery disease.
4sudden cardiac arrest. Sudden cardiac arrest is the sudden, unexpected loss of heart function, breathing and consciousness, often caused by an arrhythmia. Sudden cardiac arrest is a medical emergency. If not treated immediately, it results in sudden cardiac death.
Prevention
Certain types of heart disease, such as heart defects, can’t be prevented. However, the same lifestyle changes that can improve your heart disease can help you prevent it, including:
4Don’t smoke.
4Control other health conditions, such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol and diabetes.
4Exercise at least 30 minutes a day on most days of the week.
4Eat a diet that’s low in salt and saturated fat.
4Maintain a healthy weight.
4Reduce and manage stress.
4Practice good hygiene.

By: IANSWhat women need to know about bone health
to a higher risk of bone loss and fractures. Women who are taking these medications should discuss their bone health with their doctor. On the other hand, women can consume supplements that include NatCaZen, a proprietary blend with 100 per cent plant-based Calcium. It helps enhance bone mineral density and offers sufficient bone protection.
They perform a variety of functions ranging from providing a structural foundation, enabling movements, storing minerals, protecting organs, as well as serving as a medium for the production of blood cells.
According to World Health Organization figures, around 30 per cent of post-menopausal suffer from osteoporosis, a condition where bones become weak and brittle, and may increase the risk of fractures. In India alone, around 61 million people are reported to have osteoporosis, out of which 80 per cent are women. The alarm bells are right there, which is why women should be aware of some key information regarding bone health:
Bone density decreases with age: Women typically experience a decline in bone density after menopause. This is due to a decrease in the hormone estrogen, which helps maintain bone mass. As a result, the bones may become more susceptible to fractures and other injuries. However, one can combat this process by slowing it down to maintain bone health. It can be done by exercising regularly as well as keeping a balanced diet that is rich in calcium and Vitamin
D. An alternative is to consume health supplements that compose of bone-building nutrients like Calcium, Magnesium, and Boron from marine algae called Lithothamnium Calcareum.
Calcium and vitamin D are essential for bone health: Adequate calcium and vitamin D intake are important for maintaining strong bones. While calcium is a major component of bone tissue, Vitamin D helps the body absorb the calcium from food. They not only promote bone strength and density but also help in reducing the risk of osteoporosis. Women should aim to consume at least 1000-1300 mg of calcium and 400-800 IU of vitamin D daily. One can include it in the form of supplements in their diet plan. It would be extremely fruitful for women to include health products that support calcium absorption and distribution in the body.
weight-bearing exercise is important: Exercise that puts stress on the bones, such as walking, running, jogging, dancing, hiking, stair climbing, or weightlifting, can help build and maintain bone density. It is highly recommended that women engage in weight-bearing exercise for at least 30 minutes a day, at least four to five times a week, in order to promote bone health and overall fitness. It would also be extremely beneficial for women
to include health products that are rich in estrogen-like compounds that are derived from plants. They help in providing hormonal balance with the help of Lodh Bark, Ashoka, and Black Cohosh which contain phytoestrogens. Such health products help in preventing bone loss and improving antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity in the body.
smoking and excessive alcohol consumption can harm bones: It’s no surprise that smoking and excessive alcohol consumption can weaken bones and increase the risk of osteoporosis. Women with osteoporosis are at increased risk of fractures, which can lead to pain, disability, and reduced quality of life. Smoking can lead to a reduction in the amount of calcium that is absorbed by the body, which can further weaken bones. On the other hand, the consumption of alcohol can interfere with the production of new bone tissue, while also increasing the risk of falls and fractures due to its effects on balance and coordination.
Certain medications can affect bone health: Some medications, such as corticosteroids, can weaken bones and increase the risk of osteoporosis. Another medicine is anticonvulsants, which are used to treat seizures. Unfortunately, they can also interfere with the body’s ability to absorb calcium, leading
family history of osteoporosis is a risk factor: Women with a family history of osteoporosis are at a higher risk of developing the condition themselves. This is down to several factors which may include hormonal changes during menopause, the presence of smaller bones as compared to men, and even longer life expectancy. What’s scary is that fractures caused by osteoporosis can be serious, especially in older women. However, women can consume supplements that possess Ayurvedic herbal extracts like Lodh Bark, Ashoka, and Black Cohosh. It can help control the onset of osteoporosis by maintaining estrogen balance.
Regular bone density tests are important: Women should discuss the need for regular bone density tests with their doctors, especially as they age. Firstly, they help in assessing the risk of osteoporosis, while also monitoring bone health over periods. The test becomes the basis for taking treatments to prevent further bone loss and reduce fractures.
It’s important for women to take steps to maintain their bone health throughout their lives. This includes eating a healthy diet, getting enough exercise, and avoiding risk factors such as smoking and excessive alcohol consumption.
Bones are a crucial element for the human body’s musculoskeletal system along with ligaments, muscles, tendons, and soft tissues.
Ayurveda tips to keep your kidneys healthy & strengthen renal system
It might be scary to get diagnosed with chronic kidney disease (CKD) or worse, kidney failure. However, experts suggest that if you find the disease in its early stages, certain steps can be taken to prolong kidney function. According to an estimate, nearly 850 million individuals worldwide are estimated to have kidney diseases due to several causes. The two main causes of kidney failure are diabetes and blood pressure.
Although renal transplants and kidney dialysis are the two most common treatment options for kidney failure or chronic kidney disease, they have their own side effects. The kidney may get rejected by the patient’s body during a transplant or there may be chances of infection during dialysis. When it comes to natural and safe treatment for kidney diseases, Ayurveda has always been an exceptional way.
Here are some Ayurveda tips to keep your kidneys healthy and rejuvenate as well as strengthen the renal system:
stay hydrated: You can significantly lower your chances of developing kidney disease by consuming plenty of fluids as it can help kidneys in clearing sodium, urea, and toxins from the body. At the same time, it is crucial to avoid excessive consumption of fluids as it can cause side effects, forcing the kidneys to over-function filtering the excess toxins. You can maintain a healthy fluid intake of at least 1.5 liters of water per day.
Kidney detox: According to Ayurveda, periodic cleansing of kidneys can be done with the help of certain powerful Ayurvedic herbs. Diuretic
herbs like Parsley, Gokshur, Varuna, Punarnava, and Celery aid in flushing out the kidneys and urinary tract, while reducing toxin levels in the body. You can also consume herbal tea by boiling any of these herbs in 2 cups of water and steeping for 15 minutes.
follow a balanced and nutritious diet: To ensure that your kidneys are in good health, and you maintain an ideal body weight, you should follow a balanced and nutritious diet comprising of fibrous fruits and vegetables. In addition, avoid processed or fast food and reduce your salt intake. Instead of a high-protein diet, opting for a low-calorie diet would
be wise as the former could increase the burden on kidneys. Consuming superfoods like grapes, apples, blueberries, garlic, and cabbage would also ensure healthy kidneys. To remove toxins and prevent the formation of kidney stones, amla juice is strongly recommended.
Control blood pressure & sugar levels: High blood pressure, along with diabetes, high cholesterol, and cardiovascular diseases, raises the chances of kidney damage. Only a few people are aware that high blood pressure is the most common cause of kidney damage, as it is mostly linked to a stroke or heart attack. Regular checkups to understand or know
the status of your kidneys can help in preventing or reducing the chances of kidney damage.
Ayurveda has been found to be an exceptional way to promote kidney health in the long run as it naturally treats the doshas (imbalances) in the body. For instance, Ayurvedic herbs and treatment fixes the imbalance of pitta (fire energy) levels in the body, and heals the kidneys in a natural way, as opposed to allopathy medicines which have several side effects. In some cases, Ayurveda treatment has also enabled kidney patients to stop dialysis.

Singer Adele has opened up about the uncomfortable skin condition she is battling before hinting that another body transformation could be on the way. The mega star singer told fans that she sweated so much in her Spanx underwear that she now suffers with severe acne, reports Mirror.co.uk.
The painful problem hasn’t impacted her performance after telling the world suffered from “jock itch” - before regretting her TMI announcement. We could be seeing a brand new Adele look in the months ahead after saying she has started weight lifting.
She told the Ceasar’s Palace crowd in Vegas: “Do you know what my doctor gave me? It
is a bit crude, I never knew it existed. Me and my team were talking about it earlier. Obviously when I do my shows I wear Spanx to keep it all in and make
it all fit me. I sweat a lot and it doesn’t go anywhere. So basically I just sit in my own sweat. And my doctor gave me Jock Itch cream.
As per Mirror.co.uk, Adele then went on to say she’s been hitting the gym - and she is clearly feeling pumped.
“Talking of body acne I have started weight lifting again, like no-one’s business,” she went on. “I am absolutely loving it.”

Using white table linens while hosting can create an elegant and classic look for your table setting. It exudes simplicity and sophistication. Utilizing white table linens can effortlessly produce an exquisite atmosphere for your table arrangement. It radiates an aura of simplicity and sophistication.
Embracing Simplicity: White table linens offer a pristine and enduring aesthetic. Allow them to take center stage by keeping the remainder of the table decor minimalistic. Opt for elegant and simple tableware and accessories that won’t overshadow the beauty of the white linens.
Texture and Patterns: Although white linens may initially appear plain, you can introduce visual interest by incorporating textured or patterned fabrics. Consider utilizing white linens adorned with subtle embroidery, lace, or damask patterns. These intricate details can add a touch of refinement without overpowering the overall look.
To achieve an elegant and refined ambiance, create a monochromatic color scheme using different shades of white. Match the white linens with white tableware, white flowers, and white candles. This cohesive and harmonious palette exudes sophistication and style.
Layering with Different Shades: To create depth, experiment with layering various shades of white. Combine and match different white linens, such as using a white tablecloth with slightly off-white napkins or vice versa. This technique adds dimension and generates a visually captivating contrast.
Playing with Contrasting Elements: White linens serve as an excellent backdrop for integrating contrasting elements. For instance, you can place vibrant flowers in colorful vases, utilize bold-coloured napkin rings, or incorporate decorative elements in metallic hues. These splashes of color or metallic accents will effortlessly stand out against the white background, creating a striking visual impact.
Mixing Textiles: Combine different types of white textiles to introduce texture and intrigue. Pair a crisp white cotton tablecloth with linen napkins or add a lace overlay. By mixing fabrics, you can achieve a sophisticated and layered look.
Experimenting with Shapes and Sizes: Do not hesitate to explore various shapes and sizes of white linens. Consider using a square tablecloth instead of the traditional rectangular one or employing round tablecloths for circular tables. These variations bring a fresh perspective and unique charm to your table arrangement.
Monochromatic Elegance: To achieve an elegant and refined ambiance, create a monochromatic color scheme using different shades of white. Match the white linens with white tableware, white flowers, and white candles. This cohesive and harmonious palette exudes sophistication and style.
Ensuring Pristine Presentation: Maintain your white linens in impeccable condition by ensuring they are spotlessly clean, meticulously pressed, and free from stains or wrinkles. Proper care and maintenance will preserve their crisp and elegant appearance.
Lighting: When using white linens, consider the lighting in the room. Soft and warm lighting can create a cozy and inviting atmosphere, while brighter lighting can accentuate the white linens, making them more prominent.
The key to effectively utilizing white table linens lies in maintaining a clean, crisp, and elegant overall look. The simplicity of white allows you to be versatile in your choice of colors and accents, making it easier to coordinate the linens with different table settings and themes.

By: Arnab BanerjeeDuration: 179 minutes

Cinematography: Karthik Palani
Music: Sanchit Balhara, Ankit Balhara
songs: Ajay-Atul, Sachet-Parampara
IANs Rating: **
When disclaimers go beyond the perfunctory three-liners and go on to justify the inclusion or absence of some vital facts, rest assured the filmmakers have a lot to hide and explain, or maybe fear a backlash that might result in a disaster. The disclaimer also says that the original names of the characters have been changed. That said, what’s a film made on such a grand scale without a minor controversy?
In any case, any hullabaloo helps in adding the right buzz to a film. The nth adaptation of the Indian mythological epic Ramayana, ‘Adipurush’, written and directed by Om Raut, produced by T-Series and Retrophiles, and shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu, is a modern take, but, thankfully, the epic, time-tested tale has not been tampered with. One minute short of three hours, the film is full of tacky computer-generated graphics that come in the way of storytelling, but that’s not its only flaw.
The narrative takes off with Prince Rama, called Raghava in the film, on a 14-year exile to the forest urged by his father, King Dasharatha, on the request of his stepmother Kaikeyi. It focuses on his travels across the forests in the Indian subcontinent with his wife Sita and brother Lakshmana. Soon, it is time for the kidnapping of Sita by Ravana, the king of Lanka, and what follows is the war between Rama and Ravana.
One has seen many versions of umpteen legendary tales told with a lot of passion, each one aiming at a fresh approach, and that alone is the reason why most of their novel treatment becomes a hit. The producers and director are aware that they have to have a faithful adapta-
tion and don’t digress from the storyline (thank God for small mercies!). In this version of the Ramayana, not much on paper can be blamed. Neither the mythical theme, nor are any of the characters unreal. Prabhas, who plays Rama, is closest to doing justice to his character. The rest playing the fabled roles perform with either hyper-sensitivity or deadpan expression.
Saif Ali Khan as Ravana wants to have fun, and roars “Ha ... hahaha” the loudest, but looks most unconvincing in his anglicized Hindi. With the help of technology, he is made to look larger than his five-feet-something frame, helping him tower over all characters. To woo North Indian Hindi speaking audiences, Rama’s voice has been dubbed
by Sharad Kelkar, which is half the performance. Rama here is as affable as possible, but he can be fiercely determined as well, leaving no stone unturned to accomplish his mission.
Kriti Sanon is unsure of what she is supposed to be doing; her tall frame and inexpressive impassive face is a distraction. It is the same Krito who was so impressive in ‘Mimi’ last year. And like the other actors, she is not helped by the fact that she has to deliver unimaginative, almost prosaic, lines that sometimes are laughable. What is missing is the divinity one looks for in such films. There are many massive visual effects to enhance the effect of wonderment, but sadly, one is not overawed by any of this gimmicky flashiness.
Cinematographer Karthik Palani, though a competent technician, has to deal with too many colors, black and blue in particular, to make way for dazzle and amazement that the film demands.
The songs by Ajay-Atul and Sachet-Parampara, and the background score by Sanchit and Ankit Balhara, is expectedly loud and spoils the viewing even more with decibel levels that create noise pollution.
At the end of the drama, one minute short of three hours, as Rama returns to Ayodhya, it is a real test of patience to even wait for the credits to roll. So bored one is of the deadpan and uninspired account of a classic heroic grand tale!

By: IANSAll you need to know about dementia in dogs
TCanine cognitive dysfunction syndrome correlates with the aging of the dog’s brain, which causes them to eventually lose their sharp awareness of their surroundings, learning capabilities, responsiveness and even memory.
The symptoms will first appear to be of a mild state; however, they will progress with time and unfortunately worsen and become more severe. This process is known as ‘Cognitive Decline’.
The signs of this condition are anxiety, restlessness, not wishing to play anymore, slow to learn new training, disorientation, decreased grooming, confusion, forgetting previous training, no control over uri-
nating or defecating, sleep patterns altered, decreased appetite, excessive licking, frustration and barking. According to statistics, it is seen that at least one out of every three dogs that are over the age of ten will display at least one sign of Canine Cognitive Dysfunction Syndrome. If you feel that your dog may be showing any of these signs, then your veterinarian can perform a full physical examination. He or she will also need a full history of when the symptom(s) initially presented themselves, in order to conduct a proper diagnosis of this condition. Other diagnostic measures may also be performed in order to rule out any other underlying causes for such exhibiting signs.
Canines that are diagnosed with Dog Dementia will then begin a long-term treatment of supportive care for this condition. Such care will consist of improving your dog’s living environment and health in order to maintain an ideal condition for improvement. This will allow the Cognitive
Decline to be delayed and not progress as quickly otherwise. Changes in exercise routine, playing time and also training, or needing to train again, will be introduced as well. Other adjustments that can be made to facilitate a dog with this condition is to provide night lights for your canine companion to navigate throughout the house easier in the dark. Place training pads near your dog so that there is a place for him or her to use the washroom in case of an emergency, where they cannot control their urination or bowel movement. Certain medications or behavioral treatments may also be advised by your veterinarian based on the individual case of your pet. Diet is also a key component to managing a better lifestyle. Certain supplements can also be added to the diet regiment in order to help with your dog’s cognitive function. Such as: Vitamin E, Vitamin C, Selenium, Beta Carotene, Carotenoids, Flavonoids, Omega-3 and Carnitine. Follow-up appointments with your veterinarian may be needed regularly.

Travelling with your baby? w
ith summer on in full swing and families planning their much-needed vacations, traveling with your little one can be a whole new ball game. Whether you are heading to the beach or exploring a new city, it is essential to take care of your baby’s delicate skin while on the go. Here are five skincare tips by Cetaphil Baby Skin Experts for keeping your baby smiling and protected on your summer trip.
start with sun Protection
One of the most crucial aspects of skincare during summer travels is sun protection. Infants have extremely delicate skin that is susceptible to sunburn and damage, which can lead to long-term consequences. To avoid this, make sure you pack good quality sunscreen for kids. Apply it to your baby’s skin at least 15 minutes before heading out and reapply every few hours for optimal protection.
Keep Your Baby Hydrated
The heat and sun exposure can make your baby’s skin dehydrated, leading to dry skin and causing discomfort to babies. To prevent this, make sure your baby stays hydrated by feeding them water frequently. Your baby’s skin also needs nourishment; hence using a gentle at regular intervals can work wonders in keeping their skin soft and supple. Apply moisturizer after bath to lock the moisture and keep your baby’s skin smooth and healthy throughout the trip.
opt for loose and Comfortable Clothing
Loose-fitting cotton clothes are a perfect choice for keeping your baby’s skin cool and dry during sweltering summer days. Additionally, cotton is a gentle and non-irritating fabric that is less likely to cause skin rashes or allergies. When packing for your trip, make sure to include extra clothes for your baby, as they may sweat or get dirty during the day. A sun hat can also be a great addition to protect your baby’s sensitive skin from the sun’s harmful rays. Choosing comfortable and stylish clothing for your baby will not only ensure their comfort but also make for adorable vacation pictures and memories to cherish
Be Mindful of the Environment
Your baby’s skin is delicate and sensitive, and different environmental factors can easily cause irritation and discomfort. To ensure that your baby’s skin remains healthy and happy during your summer trip, it’s essential to take proactive measures to protect it. One of the simplest ways to do this is by keeping your baby’s skin clean and well-hydrated. Frequent baths with lukewarm water and a mild baby soap can help remove dirt and grime without causing dryness or irritation.
As you embark on your summer adventures with your little one, it is essential to remember that taking care of their delicate skin is just one aspect of your journey together. It is also an opportunity to bond and create beautiful memories. Whether you are exploring unfamiliar places, trying new foods, or simply cuddling up in a cozy hotel room, every moment spent with your baby is precious. So, do not forget to enjoy the experience. As you prioritze your baby’s skincare needs, remember that the goal is to ensure that they feel loved, protected, and comfortable while exploring the world with you. Happy travels!

Eating a balanced breakfast is important as it kick-starts your metabolism, your blood glucose metabolism is much better throughout the day, and it boosts your energy levels and also helps you make better meal choices throughout the day. Breakfast is also given a lot of importance in Ayurveda as that is the time our body’s ‘pitta’ (fire or metabolism) is at its peak.
Sahiba Bhardwaj, a Nutritionist & Nutrition Educator helps us look at some common breakfast mistakes that could hamper our metabolism.
skipping Breakfast: Eating late at night or trying a new diet, cutting calories or maybe you simply don’t have the time to eat breakfast. This is the biggest mistake you can make as it will not only dampen your metabolism but also increase your chances of developing health problems like high blood cholesterol, heart disease, and type 2 diabetes. But a balanced breakfast can lower those risks and fuel you for the rest of the day.
Bite-sized Breakfast: Eating just a fruit or a small bite-sized breakfast will leave you hungry and affect your mental focus. Not eating sufficient calories during the day may leave you munching on unhealthy energy-dense snacks later in the day and may lead to weight gain. However, eating a good filling breakfast fires up your metabolism and helps you burn calories throughout the day.
speedy Eating: Sit and eat. We have always heard that but we tend to ignore it. Always in a rush, we
tend to eat fast and take large bites of our food. This as per some studies increases the odds of obesity as it may lead to overeating. Also, as per Ayurveda, when you sit and eat your food, chewing it properly, it improves digestion and absorption of nutrients. So slow down, and savour each bite of your breakfast.
Going low on Protein: A protein-packed breakfast has more benefits than just feeding your muscles. Protein takes longer to break down in the body and hence keeps you full for longer. So make sure your Breakfast has good quality protein that is paired with complex carbohydrates and good fats. Eggs, smoked salmon, nut butter, yoghurt, and paneer are all good protein options. Stay clear of processed meat (sausages, salamis, seeks, bacon etc.)
saying No to Carbs: Another grave mistake is leaving out carbohydrates completely. You don’t
have to say no to them, just choose wisely. Include Complex Carbs that are slow energy releasing and don’t spike your blood glucose levels and give you energy through the day. Some good ones are steel-cut oats, upma, poha, sandwiches, cheelas with veggies are some options. Avoid loading up on Simple carbs (fruit juices, waffles, pancakes) on a daily basis as they can lead to a sudden dip in energy levels mid-morning
Don’t fear fats and include healthy fats in your breakfast in small portions with your proteins and carbs. Adding avocado or a tablespoon of nut butter to your toast, adding nuts & seeds to your cereal or smoothies, and cooking cheelas in desi ghee are good ways of adding healthy fats. Unsaturated fats and the Omega-3 fatty acids from nuts & flax seeds are good for the heart too.
By: N. lothungbeni Humtsoewe have always heard “Eat Breakfast like a king” but in today’s rushed world everyone’s meal timings are scattered, sleep is erratic and they want to look a certain way, cutting calories is affecting their breakfast intake every day!

By: IANSZeenat Aman reveals how she got her surname
Veteran actress Zeenat aman, on Father’s Day, remembered her late father amanullah k han and mother Vardhini Scindia and also talked about how she got her last name and that she wants to translate and publish a volume of Urdu poetry written by him.
Zeenat took to Instagram, where she shared a picture and wrote how her parents got married and parted ways. “This precious image was taken at a photo studio when I was a child. My father is sitting behind me, and another relative is in front. My father Amanullah Khan came from royal stock. His mother Akhtar Jahan Begum was first cousins with the last ruler of the state of Bhopal, His Highness Nawab Hamidullah Khan.
“Aman Sahab, as he was known, was one of eight siblings, and they led a leisurely life in Bhopal. As he grew up he was considered extremely handsome. So he and his cousin Al Nasir came to Mumbai to see if they could find fame and fortune in Hindi cinema. He met my mother Vardhini Scindia socially at a party in the city”, she said.
“They had a whirlwind courtship and got married soon after. Unsurprisingly, neither family approved. She was a practicing Hindu and he came from a strong Muslim family. After a brief acting career, Aman Sahab went on to become a writer. Amongst other projects, he most famously worked on the screenplay and dialogues for Mughal-E-Azam and also Pakeezah. Though he was enormously talented and respected as a writer, I don’t feel he ever got his just dues. I suppose writers rarely do.”
“On the homefront, my parents decided to separate a few years after I was born. I stayed with my mother, and my father moved into a sprawling bungalow on Mount Mary Hill in Bandra.” She recalled going for long walks with him during which he would treat her to ice cream.
“He would tell me stories and would recite Urdu poems, some of which he made up especially for me. He would also write beautiful letters in English to my mother and I.”
“These are my few memories of my father. He passed away at the early age of 41, when I was still in school. I wish I had had the chance to spend more time with him. To know him not just through the lens of a child, but as a teenager and adult. Amongst the few possessions I hold close to my heart, is a volume of Urdu poetry that he wrote.”
“I hope to have this translated and published some day. One never gets too old to miss their parents. On Father’s Day, I am thinking of my father Amanullah Khan, whose name I chose to make my own.”
