Three Decades of Married Life and on… “Check your spouse by the class, not by the behavior as behavior is temporary and class is permanent. If the class of the partner-- being caring, respectful and trustworthy--is excellent though, he/she loses temper occasionally, it is a legitimate reason to continue the divine relationship.” …..Surinder Shaun Kochhar When a couple enters into a marriage, they are positive about the pious relationship, they are venturing into. Most of the newly-weds, like millions of others, are incurably optimistic about this exciting relationship. With dreams in their eyes, though unprepared and inexperienced, they are hopeful of a scintillating future and a blissful happy married life. How to organise
Diwali Party
Celebrations
Diwali is the time for everyone to come together, and celebrate the wonderful festival with all their loved ones. And, what better way to kick-start the festivities than a Diwali bash right in your living room? A party on this occasion is a perfect way to spread the aura of happiness that this auspicious festival brings with itself. However, the process of planning for a Diwali party might be a little tiring, especially for the ladies out there. So to make things easier for you, here are eight simple steps by which you can organise a Diwali party that would be the talk of the town. Diwali parties need not stick to same script every year. You can spice up the Diwali party with an interesting theme of your choice. A Bollywood theme party, where your friends can turn up dressed as their favourite characters,or acolour-codedtheme,whereeverybodyhastodressup in accordance with the colour, can really electrify the entire atmosphere. So, use your creativity and come up with an interesting theme. Since it is Diwali, your house should be basking in the light of beautiful diyas. If you are hosting a theme party, your decor cannot clash with your theme. Use clever ways to integrate traditional decorations in your modern party. Instead of diyas, use fairy tea lights to light up your house. Lanterns look really pretty too and give yourhouseaminimalistlook.Sincethedecorationslargely depend on your theme, just do not forget it while zeroing in on the decor ideas.

diwali special OCTOBER 2016
The Five Days Celebrations of Diwali Festival The Second Day: Chhoti Diwali or Narak Chaturdashi
The First Day: Dhanteras
The celebrations of Diwali festival start with Dhanteras. Dhanteras is also called Dhantrayodashi and falls on the 13th lunar day of Krishna Paksh, in the month of Kartik. As per the mythological legend, during the churning of the milk-ocean (Kshir Sagar) by gods and demons, God Dhanvantari appeared out on this day. Therefore the Dhanteras festival is regarded as an auspicious occasion for the purchase of utensils, gold and silver. On this day Hindu devotees light up a diya or lamp near a sacred tree in the home’s courtyard. Along with the lamp sweet offering are also made to Yamaraj-the Lord of Death.
The next day after Dhanteras, Narak Chaturdashi or Chhoti Diwali is celebrated. This occasion falls on the 14th day and marks the victory of good over evil as according the legend, on this day Lord Krishna killed the demon Narakasura for the well-being of mankind. On this day Hindus get up early in the morning and after massaging their body with fragrant oil take bath. Small earthen lamps and colorful rangolis are made the mark the celebrations. In the evening special prayers and sweets offerings are made to Goddess Laxmi and to the ancestors.
The Third Day: Laxmi Puja on Diwali
The third day of Diwali festival is the most important day that is observed with the Laxmi Puja ceremony in the evening. Hindus offer special prayers, chants hymns and mantras with sweets offerings to the Goddess Laxmi (goddess of wealth) and Lord Ganesha (god of auspicious beginnings). Clay diyas, candles, lamps and fire work are lit to mark the jubilations and seek blessings of well-being and good fortune.
The Fourth Day: Govardhan Puja
The fourth day of Diwali festivities is called Govardhan Puja or Annakut and it is celebrated to mark the victory of Lord Krishna over Lord Indra. As per the legend it is believed that Lord Krishna convinced the people to not to worship Lord Indra and to concentrate only on their sole Karma i.e. farming and cattle protection. Lord Krishna taught them to worship nature and stop worshiping Indra. With this Lord Indra got angered and flooded the whole village and protect the villagers and their cattles, Lord Krishna lifted mount Govardhan. Thus people on this day light up lamps and fire crackers to mark the jubilation. The same occasion is celebrated as Padva or BaliPratipada in the Indian state of Maharasthra. In Gujarat Govardhan Puja as the beginning of the New Year.
The Fifth Day: Bhai Duj
After Govardhan Puja and two days of Diwali comes Bhai Duj that is known as Bhai Bij in Gujarat and Bhai Phota in Bengal. On this special day brothers and sisters meet each other for the expression of affection and care. On this occasion the sister applies tilak with vermilion or sandal on her brother’s forehead and performs an aarti of him, wishing him a long and successful life. In return, the brother blesses his sister and offers her sweets and gifts. With Bhai Duj celebrations the five days long Diwali festivities come to an end. As festivals are all about spreading happiness all around you, follow each of these steps to ensure that none of your guests go unhappy out of your Diwali party. While you enjoy the festival of lights with your loved ones, do everything safely, and have a truly Happy Diwali.

Best wardrobe to wear in Diwali: Style statement of Dress Designers for Diwali!
Sounia Gohil This Diwali is not about going heavy. No long dupatta or yards of fabric. The big trend is to go minimalistic, but style ensemble with loads of accessories. Keep it light with these picks. Maxi Dress: Pick one that is long and simple but has Indian embellishments. You could team it with churridar or Dupatta. Statement accessory : Pair your Kandoora with full length kurta or Saree with a brooch. It will be more eye catching. The new Anarkali: Choose a lighter style and wear it as a dress. And ditch the dark purples. Neons, pastels and nudes all work just as well and can be festive too. Neons and black, particularly, make chic statement.
Anita Dongre Enough embellishment bling and over decoration, there are a better way to make a statement this season. The light Anarkali: The new twist on the garment is a reduced ghera, less volume and a simpler style. Short, petite, women tend to get swamped in all those layers of fabric. Sothe new look is more streamlined, with a silhouette that makes you look less like a tent. Get one that concentrateson the upper body – a good shape from the bust to thewaist, leaving volume for the lower half – most Indianwomen have beautiful shoulders. The good thing about the Anarkali is that is always makes you look dressed up – it’s like wearing a sari. The A-line Jacket: Coordinate a long well-tailored A-line jacket with a kurta and flared pants. These add length and blend Indian wear with western chic. Again, don’t overdo the embroidery. Go for an interesting fabric instead.
FOR GUYS Guys need to remember to coordinate an entire look, not just throw on a kurta. And if they put on a kurta, they need to do it right. The Bandi : This is a great investment for any young man. A bandi is a short open vest with a Chinese collar. It’s so versatile. You can wear it with your churidar, with jeans and a T-shirt, or with a linen shirt and draw string pants for a day event. It’s less restrictive and stuffy than a whole band gala and if you want to dress it up, tucks a silk pocket square in a contrasting colour into the breast pocket. The linen and silk kurta: Fullyembroidered kurtas are out, unless you’re the groom and it’sdone tastefully. Otherwise, stick toa solid colour and let the materialbe luxurious, not ostentatious, withembroidery or handiwork on it.

ho always keeps the interest of his clients in mind. His after-sales service totally relates to his ingrained personal motto: He believes in the principle of “Protection for all”. If so, how is it he is different from other people who deal with personal, life, and disability insurance and promise excellent service? Without reflecting on the quality of services offered by others, it will suffice to say Sandeep believes in “Protection for all” as an extension of his people- person personality. Sandeep leads by example: In the event of a unforeseen disability he will be beside you to further your interests so that you are compensated to the maximum possible amount. “To change his client’s life for the better” is Sundeep’s motto; “to secure you a substantial claim amount” is his goal. Sandeep deals in personal, life, and disability insurance. He once also worked as a “Carrier” Agent selling life insurance. He has been hugely successful in both ventures through his sheer hard work and networking in the Lower Mainland of Vancouver, where his roots run deep. Of late, that microcosm of the Lower Mainland of Vancouver has expanded to encompass the whole of Canada. His business playing field has now been expanded to the national level and it promises to expand further. Sundeep Ahuja is only at the start of his amazing journey. He personifies all that is promised by North America to the hard working entrepreneur. Most of all, he believes in himself. In a short span, Sandeep Ahuja has become a blue eyed boy of the media. They sense he is on his way up with a sense of urgency. Most community papers feature him on their front pages in a box. That is the kind of space he deserves. Climbing up the ladder of success in the Insurance field has not made him proud, as he still retains humility. However, only working hard does not constitute all that makes an individual a success. He is a father to three children two handsome sons and a beautiful daughter. And true to his ambitious self he hopes that they will one day reach the pinnacle of their fields. Sundeep Ahuja breathes success for himself and all who come in contact with him.

Stress Relief for women B
etween jobs or school, family chores, raising a family and maintaining allpurpose sanity, days are packed to the gills with more than even wonder woman may possibly handle! To combat all those days brimming with things to carry out, people to make out and places to be, I’ve come about with a list of fun, relaxing and enjoyable things to overcome the stressors in your life this spring. Test out them out and make out if any of these stress-busters may give you the peace of mind and comfort your life is missing. • Put on comfortable clothes and snuggle up with a good book. • And few chocolates. • And a cup of tea with some cookies. • Take a hot bubble bath. • Give yourself a good pedicure to treat yourself and get your toes in shape for sandals. • Determine a maximum amount of money that you are permissible to use up and go shopping for your new shoes, a purse, or clothes. • Just stop and smell the roses. • Prepare some popcorn and look at a movie. • Take pleasure in a candlelit dinner. • Listen to soft, chilling, or soothing music to your taste. • Otherwise, if you truly require getting out some frustration, listen to rock and roll or hard core music. • Play an instrument particularly guitar, if you really know how.
• Ask somebody else to play for you if you really don’t know how. • Take an entire night to yourself, to be entirely worthless. Order take-out, walk around in your jammies and take pleasure in having nothing to do. • Exercise! Go for a walk, run, jog, bike ride or any other athletic activity. Get some friends jointly and play tennis or golf, have a catch or carry out something new and exciting in the world of sports. • Go on a boat trip, Canoe, yacht, sailboat, kayak it matters not the type of boat but that you have a nice, soothing time on the water. • Take a nap or go to bed before time. No lie if you are feeling wholly zonked from a tough week, your body will love you for it. • Make few comfort foods like cookies, cupcakes, cakes, pies anything sweet and delicious is fair game! • Get together with your girlfriends and commiserate. When you all share your dilemmas and find the irritation out in the open, it’s a pretty top thing that you’ll be feeling better in no time. • Go on a trip. Whether you leave for a week or you take a five-minute mental vacation, at times an escape from realism is all it actually takes to re-energize and refresh yourself. • No matter what types of activities or be short of thereof refill you and revitalize you after a tough workday or workweek, keep in mind that relaxation is simply a good night’s sleep away.
How to choose perfect lipstick for your skin tone? 1. Find out whether you have olive skin, fair skin, medium skin or dark black or brown skin? 2. You can make choice of lighter and more neutral colors of lipstick with a matte or cream finish during the day (at work, for example), and save your darker, glossier and more dramatic colors for a night on the town.

Fashion tips for dressing for
wedding
Tips for clothes Be it sarees, kurtis or salwar kameez, there are many options that you can explore in ethnic wear.Go for a ‘concept sari’ that has pleats done in a different coloured fabric and the palu in a heavier fabric. And if sarees are not your cup of tea, then you could opt for designer salwaar kameez. Dresses adorned with good embroidery, sequins and multicoloured embroidery done usually on off-white or pastel shades are in demand. Furthermore, plain bright coloured salwaar kameez with heavy printed or embroidered dupatta is also in rage.
Tips for jewellery Flaunting with diamond and gold jewellery is part of very Indian wedding. But if buying these jewelleries is out of your budget, then go ahead and shop for imitation jewellery. This year, fusion jewellery with floral and classic motifs is in demand. Also, kundan and polki design neckpieces as well as collar necklaces are in rage. The best of this
jewellery is that it looks as real as the real ones.
Tips for accessory Bling clutches, silk clutch purses and potlis are truly a hit. They look cool with any Indian attire — be it sarees or salwar kameez. However, this season, apart from classic clutches make sure you have an elegant Jutis that can be worn with any outfit, varied gold bangles, classic kundan neckpiece and studded or metal motif hair pins, among other accessories. Tips for men Times are changing and men no longer confine themselves to whites and light or dark colours. There are quite a few options that you too can explore. Bright colours in kurta such as orange, pink, green and yellow are all the rage now. In shirts, stripes and checks are set to rule this festival. If you are planning to wear traditional attire, make sure you team it up with mojris.

Children 2-4: less than one hour a day. Children 5-11 and youth 12-17: no more than two hours a day; lower levels are associated with health benefits. perfect formal look for women about the clients at The Boudoir, it is that the quality of your feminine image is of paramount importance. Victorian Blouse. • Skirt Suiting : Get in the girly minis, lend a hint of drama in glowy maxis or choose the show-stealer midis – the season is all about those playful hemlines. Tap your flirty side with our edit of women’s skirts, ‘cause whimsical prints, fun styles and fabrics are all you need to master the season’s hottest looks. • Cold Shoulder: Cold Shoulder tops look casual but classy with their peek-a-boo cut outs. You can wear them with just about anything. I like the look of one worn over jeans, especially when it’s a little loose and flowing.
I
t’s probably easy to identify the handful of wardrobes staples that will make you look sophisticated. Sophisticated look for women includes; blazers, loafers and pencil skirts. These dresses come in the form of versatile and smart investments. After all, styles like pyjama dressing and at leisure aren’t necessarily the most elegant of choices though they are amazing, and we still want you to wear them. Because of this, we tasked ourselves with hunting down some major trends right now that won’t sacrifice sophistication, and what we found was a list of six looks we think you’ll be excited to try. Can’t you just imagine wearing a breezy, cut out shoulder top down by the beach, out on the restaurant patio, or when you’re out walking around some cute little town in the middle of a hot summer weekend? • Dress over pants: The dress-over-pants trend has taken quite a bit of flak over the last couple of years. While it may seem like a man-repelling choice to stick a long frock on top of your pants, I’m here today to prove that this tricky layering combination is actually one of the chicest in all the land.Seriously, this look from The Row’s S/S 15 runway is everything. I’d wear this every day if I could. The slits that extend above the waistline are the perfect flash of skin—like the new cutout dress.

South Africa is a country on the southernmost tip of the African continent, marked by several distinct ecosystems. Inland safari destination Kruger National Park is populated by big game. The Western Cape offers beaches, lush wine lands around Stellenbosch and Paarl, craggy cliffs at the Cape of Good Hope, forest and lagoons along the Garden Route, and the city of Cape Town, beneath flat-topped Table Mountain.
Travelling in South Africa
I
f you are you are planning a trip to South Africa, best time for visit is in the month of June, July and August. The best part about the South Africa is that country is more about experiences and adventures. So those who want adventure and excitement in their boring life, it is the best country to visit. If you love hiking, spring and autumn are the ideal times to hike as temperatures are not too hot or cold. Spring and autumn are also the best times to visit for fly-fishing in South Africa. First place to visit is Western Cape Town with its Mediterranean climate: Peak time for game viewing as a shortage of water means animals gather at watering holes. Foliage is also less, which makes game spotting easier. And while holidaymakers flock to Cape Town and the Western Cape in the summer months to take advantage of the lovely weather, beautiful beaches, and many outdoor adventures to be had, winter - even though the rainy season - also has its charm. Visiting the Cape wine lands during winter is a special treat. Autumn, winter and spring are also ideal times to visit the Northern Cape’s wonderful national parks with their black-maned lions, and is a good time to enjoy animal tracking adventures with the Kalahari Bushmen. During summer months, temperatures here can get unbearably hot. For a South African winter beach holiday, Durban in KwaZulu-Natal is the best place to visit with its
year-round T-shirt weather and warm Indian Ocean, which makes for great water-based adventures. Hiking in the Drakensberg Mountains is also great all year round. Do be aware that in winter, night temperatures can drop below freezing, and snow can sometimes be found in the higher reaches. During the summer months, afternoon thunderstorms are a frequent occurrence. If you want to experience the world-famous Namaqualand daisies, then September (our spring) is the time to visit. The famous Sardine Run, a unique phenomenon when millions of sardines travel up the east coast of South Africa causing a feeding frenzy that attracts thousands of sharks, dolphins, whales, birds and other ocean predators, occurs between May and July. For those seeking to explore South Africa’s rich heritage, cultures, and political past, you can visit any time of year. Being outdoors is very much a way of life here and South Africa has become a major playground for the fast and furious, offering some of the wildest and best organized adventure sports in the world. It has varied environments to cater for a wide range of activities, which has encouraged an ever-expanding market for sports fanatics. You can try just about anything here, from bungee jumping to scuba diving, hiking to mountain biking.

Bollywood’s biggest box-office disappointments: ‘Baar Baar Dekho’ debacle has made Sidharth Malhotra more careful!
S
idharth Malhotra and Katrina Kaif’s film may have been titled ‘Baar Baar Dekho’, but one time proved to be enough for moviegoers. The film that was made on a budget of Rs 45-50 crore, managed to collect a minimal sum of an estimated Rs 26.28 crore at the box office when it hit theatres last Friday. For leading man Sidharth, this failure comes after three back-to-back hits, and there is no doubt that it hasn’t gone down too well with the actor. In an interview, he states that this bump in the road has made him ‘more careful’ about the projects he takes up. He even went on to say that he would be weary if he met a ‘first time director’ (referring to BBD director Nitya Mehra). However, on a much positive note, Sid said that he stands by his choices, but if given the chance, he would have done it differently.
T
he Central Board Of Film Certification is already anticipating trouble with the upcoming Aditya Chopra film ‘Befikre’, over its excessive kissing scenes. The film that stars Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor in leading roles is believed to be a carefree love story, shot in the city of love- Paris. According to reports, the CBFC is ‘apprehensive’ about how so many kisses in the film can be given the go ahead, when films in the past had had to bite the bullet. The film’s latest song ‘Labon Ka Karobar’ catches many eyes for its music video that showed a number of couples engaged in steamy make-out sessions on the streets of Paris. Censor Board chief Pahlaj Nihalani, prefers to wait it out and see how the film goes. Nihalani said that as the song was released online, it did not come under their jurisdiction. As for the multiple lip-locks, the chief prefers not to jump to conclusions and see how they fit into the context of the film. Apart from the 27 smooches between the leading stars, the film is also rumoured to be putting his butt on full display. It’ll surely be interesting to see how this film and its release plays out.

A Girl in a Whirl Contd. from previous issue (Part 4) Neither I responded at all, and nor did I open the door. Sam didn’t stop banging. Then I heard another person’s voice. After sometime, somebody opened the door from outside. “Sonia, are you all right?”, Sam babbled. The hotel manager and a waiter were with him who had opened the door with a duplicate key. The waiter had brought dinner, and the manager perhaps had come there hearing the bang for long. I felt terribly embarrassed to find Sam and myself in that situation. “Are you ok, madam?”, asked the manager. “Yes, I’m fine. I was just feeling giddy after so long a journey. You guys can go.”, I tried to tackle the situation. “Please call the reception if you need any help.”, assuring me, the manager and the waiter left. My heart was sinking to see Sam in so bad a shape. He was not the same Sam. Almost the whole bottle of whisky was empty. I tried to manage myself. I took out our night suits from the attaché case. I went to the washroom
to change my night suit. I changed my dress with a heavy heart. All my dreams were shattered. What sort of life partner I had dreamt of and what I had got! Very depressed, I came out of the washroom. Sam was desperately struggling to take his shirt off. With tired eyes, I lay on a side of the bed. When Sam couldn’t take his shirt off, he said very bad words and tore it apart into two pieces. He looked at the two pieces like a prisoner had gotten free from a jail. Then he fell beside me like an axed tree. “Sonia darling, I love you. I’m sorry. I love you…”, Sam was blabbering. When he brought his face closer to mine, I almost felt choked for his stinking breath. I rushed away from him. I felt like my breathing would stop. I opened a window quickly and tried to breathe in the fresh air from out. I was feeling cold from the open window, but I got some relief from the fresh air coming from the window. Sam was very tired after banging the washroom door. And his brain had gone numb from consuming so much alcohol. Therefore he fell asleep on the bed murmuring stupid words. I fell on the carpet floor and cried bitterly. I covered my mouth with my both hands to muffle my cries. I don’t remember how long I mourned. There
was none to listen to my grievance. Then I got up and opened the closet. I found a spare blanket there. I took the blanket and a pillow, and lay on the floor near the open window. My cries turned into sobbing. I don’t remember how long I sobbed and then fell asleep. The sun had risen when I woke up the next morning. There was a very foul smell in our room. Sam had thrown up on the bed. Sam was lying there almost unconscious. I opened the window fully and breathed a long heavy sigh. “Let him…!”, I cursed Sam and went to the washroom. I turned on the exhaust fan of the washroom. I took a shower and came out. The disgrace I was afraid of had already been inflicted on us. I called the reception and informed them about Sam’s condition. The manager sent a waiter. He first picked up Sam on his shoulders and laid him on the sofa. And then he cleaned the bed properly and made a new bed. I checked Sam’s pulse. Being a nurse, I knew which medicine Sam needed. “Listen, is there any chemist’s shop or a pharmacy close by?”, mustering my confidence, I asked the waiter.

4Using your hands squeeze the mixture with your hands so you release some of the water from the veggies to help bind the mixture. If you find it’s not wet enough to bind just add a few drops of water. 4Shape the mixture into balls of about a tablespoon each. Flatten them a little so they cook all the way through. 4Fry the bhajias in small batches, flipping them a few times until they are golden brown. It should take 3-5 minutes. 4Remove from the oil and place on paper towel to absorb the oil. 4Serve with the Patak’s Sweet Mango

You will be in blissful mood from the start of the month itself. You’ll have to make efforts for your completing your own work and feel less lethargic. Due to transit of Mars on this sign you can get help and support from your family and life partner.
At this time, you can spend your savings on yourself. Also, you’ll participate in some social activities. You will get to meet new people and will interact with them. While handling bank related matter, be cautious. Business projects can stretch and this can also increase your expenses.
You will be quite practical in your work. You might have to go through various ups and downs. But with your appropriate strategies you will be able to take right decisions. This month can bring many good options or opportunities for you. Also, opportunities to generate revenue will lay your way.
At this time you can suffer from mental distress and can feel restless. Due to your grumpy nature, you can indulge in some arguments with others. Initially you should think twice before lending money to others. Keep all your documents carefully. Your ignorance can increase your worries.
Some of your work can be hindered during this time. Changes in planetary positions will have a prolonged effect on your mental level. Financially, you’ll not face any problems. Former savings will prove beneficial at this time. You may not be capable of controlling your own expenses.

surrendered. Our selves to Guru Granth Sahib Ji, GU Means Darkness RU Means Light, our Guru gives us the Light to walk the path & see each other deeper than the Shell ( Body ). Let me give you a scenario, If I take needle & Thread to sow 2 bodies side by side, the union Will not last for long, this will be impractical in terms of going to bed, work, washroom etc. We will be like Siamese individuals. But we can sew our minds & soul together. This inner blending or merger makes the relationship Rock Solid Ignore the Negatives in your partner & cultivate the Goodnees / Positivity. The body will Age with time, but the soul is Age less Say at least few words of Love,Mohabbat, Ishq in Ustat of your partner. 3) Have Affection for your Partner , As I mentioned Affection / Longing is more important than Perfection. Express your love & care in a Royal / Devine manner. Have few Short Vacations Every year, go to new places, explore new adventures together. There would be times when One has to Compromise , shed your Ego, 4) I view my self in my partner ( Malkin ) and be Kind, be Human. she views herself in me.This way there is No I will give you another Scenario What ever Room for Conflict, while we are heading to the you give to the women, she will multiply higher stages of ISHQ, we should be it several folds & give it back to you By: Dr. Pargat Committed to even sacrifice ourselves If you give her love, she will love you for the other, this is True Love. Prithviraj is set to make his directorial debut with Lucifer, and none other than Mohanlal will star in it!
T
wo talented artists are coming together for a movie with an intriguing title. It can’t better than this and we aren’t even exaggerating. It was today when Prithviraj took to social media to make this grand announcement. It was grand for two reasons, one that the star was making his directorial debut and the other, he was going to direct none other than Mohanlal! This ambitious project will be bankrolled by Antony Perumbavoor’s Aashirvad Cinemas. Filmmaker Murali Gopy will be the one writing the screenplay for this movie. It was in an earlier interview with IANS, that Prithviraj had revealed,”I soon plan to venture into direction. It gives me a different kind of creative high,” According to reports from a leading daily, the movie was a brainchild that had been conceptualised years go by Murali and late director Rajesh Pillai. Looks like Prithviraj is finally making it happen. Apart from Mohanlal and Murali, nothing about the cast and crew had been finalised. But we are excited to know everything about this project right from the word go!

So called Healthy Foods we eat daily, are not so healthy….. How will be our health tomorrow depend on what we eat today.
We are what we eat. Our food is our medicine. Unknowingly, the food we eat daily is loaded with pesticides, hormones and disease promoting chemicals. This is the reason why cancer, heart disease, diabetes, sleep disorders, thyroid disease et al are on the rise. Let us have a closer look:-
Conventional Meat: Non-organic, genetically modified meat products are definitely good for bad health and bring life threatening diseases and that you should never eat. Even if it is “lean” with all the excess fat trimmed off, it will still do the damage. The logic is these livestock are fed on genetically modified corn. And chicken are fed hormones and pesticide loaded grains [corn] to increase weight of the bird as fast as possible. Essentially, We are what THESE livestock eat. And if the livestock that you’re eating for lunch or dinner is fed on a pesticide and hormones loaded feed, then that’s what enters in our GI tract and literally gets stored in our fat cells to make us seriously ill. When you buy stuff, read and reread your labels and be sure that the meat you are purchasing is safe. Even if it says “grass-fed,” still do your homework. I think we should buy meat from a trusted local source. It is always better to buy locally and fresh. It’s worthwhile to become familiar with how your food is sourced and prepared. Those who like eating meat should continue, because meat has one of the best source of iron and protein, the problem is it is contaminated and stale in some cases. To buy from a trusted source is the key. Farmed Fish: Other health foods you should never eat are farmed fish. Eating farmed fish is worse than eating chicken, turkey and beef. Even salmon, touted for being the health fish of choice is virtually slow poison to consume if farmed. Why? Because most are fed genetically modified feed and, according to the non-profit watch dog organization Environmental Working Group (EWG), “Seven of ten farmed salmon purchased at grocery stores in Washington DC, San Francisco, and Portland, Oregon were contaminated with polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) at levels that raise health concerns, according to independent laboratory tests commissioned by Environmental Working Group.”. Moreover in many cases fish are having mercury above the permissible levels, that is the prime reason why doctors recommend eat fish for 3 days a week only. Oily fish we need to eat. Examples include small forage fish, such as sardines, herring and anchovies, and other larger pelagic fish, such as salmon, trout, tuna and mackerel. Wild pacific sock eyed cold water salmon is an excellent choice. Buy from a reputed store and read, re-read the labels before you buy. Fruit Juice: Many people daily drink fruit juice bought from market in their breakfast. They empathically think that it is healthy. You may feel shocked to learn that fruit juice (in abundance) is actually quite harmful for them. Why? Because sugar is added to the juices so that the juice can tickle our taste buds [numbering 8000 to 10000 in our throat and down to esophagus]. The sad part is, a one cup of fruit juice has 5 tablespoons of sugar added to it. An average Canadian eat 72 kg of sugar in one year. My heart comes into my mouth when I think about so much of sugar and a sedentary life style. Fruit juice at various stores is pasteurized at the time of manufacturing .This procedure basically renders these products nearly nutrition deficient because they are stripped of much of their nutrition. Why they pasteurize? So that the shelf life of the juice can be increased. Pasteurization is the process where higher heat is given for less time to kill pathogenic bacteria. For example, milk is pasteurized at 161°F (72°C) for 15 seconds. For apple juice at pH values of 4.0 or less, FDA recommends the following thermal processes to achieve a 5-log reduction for oocytes’ of

The bad part of margarine is it has been made out of trans fat, which is known to clog arteries and cause cardiovascular [heart] disease. Trans fat also increases someone’s risk of developing type II diabetes and several other severe health problems. To increase the shelf life of margarine, hydrogen is passed through the oil and it is create trans-fat which clog our coronary artery-the artery that supply blood to heart- and give us Heart Attack later on. Butter in moderation is definitely better than margarine. It has many fat soluble vitamins .Butter is loaded with Vitamins A, E, and K2 (which is higher in grass-fed dairy). Go for grass fed cow or goat organic unsalted butter. Vegetable Oils : Some more health foods you should never eat are vegetable oils. Hand-inhand with margarine, vegetable oils like canola are not healthy by any stretch of imagination. They are usually genetically modified, are partially hydrogenated and have been linked to many diseases primarily, Atherosclerosis, Cancer, Diabetes, Heart disease, obesity, Increased cholesterol levels et al.I eat pure, cold pressed extra virgin olive oil and coconut oil. When buying coconut oil you should make sure it smells like coconut when you buy it, otherwise it has been most likely pasteurized and is not as healthy for you. Buy from a proper store like Costco, Superstore, and Wal-Mart etc. Table Salt: Daily we hear that white table salt causes hypertension, yet its use is on the up. Originally it is produced from sea water. Scientists have developed techniques that help mfrs.to remove all its naturally-occurring minerals, and then use a number of additives (including aluminum) to dry it . And it is also heated to temperatures of about 1,200 degrees. Original Iodine is removed and then potassium iodide is added ,which is potentially toxic . The salt is then stabilized with dextrose, which turns it purple. Finally it is bleached white. Contd next edition
