Chandrayaan-3: The historic Moon mission by India
India made history last month by becoming the first country to reach the lunar south pole. an uncrewed robotic moon lander, operated by India’s space agency and known as the chandrayaan-3, touched down on the moon’s south polar region.
The Indian Space Research Organization’s successful touchdown comes just days after a Russian spacecraft that was en route to the same area failed during an orbital maneuver and crashed into the lunar surface. The failure was a major setback for Russia’s space agency, known as

Only three other countries in history have pulled off controlled, or “soft,” lunar landings: the U.S., China and the former Soviet Union.
The moon’s south pole has long been of interest to space agencies and scientists because the region’s shadowed craters are thought to hold
greater concentrations of water ice than elsewhere on the lunar surface, so it could be of critical importance for establishing long-term human settlements on the moon.
India and Russia had been locked in a race to the lunar south pole. The Luna-25 spacecraft that crashed was the first moon-landing spacecraft launched by Russia’s space agency in almost five decades. Roscosmos officials said they lost contact with the lander after it fired its engines in preparation for a descent to the surface.

The brain behind India’s ambitious Moon mission is ISRO chief S Somanath. Somanath has also been given the credits for accelerating ISRO’s other missions including Gaganyaan and Sun-mision Aditya-L1. Somanath has also served as the director of the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) and the Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre — the primary centres for development of rocket technologies for ISRO, before heading India’s space organisation.

The Chandrayaan-3 mission is designed to conduct a series of science experiments on the surface, including tests of mineral composition and seismic activity. The lander, which is roughly the size of an SUV, is also carrying a smaller rover. Both solar-powered craft are designed to operate for about two weeks on the moon.
The Chandrayaan-3, which launched into space July 14, was India’s second attempt to land at the moon’s south pole. A previous attempt in 2019 deployed a lunar orbiter, but the Chandrayaan-2

Veeramuthuvel was serving as a deputy director in the Space Infrastructure Programme Office at the ISRO headquarters before the Moon mission started. He is known for his technical skills. Veeramuthuvel played a key role in Chandrayaan-2 mission as well, being the point person for its negotiations with National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). A native of Villupuram in Tamil Nadu, Veeramuthuvel is an alumnus of Indian Institute of Technology in Madras (IIT-M).

start your day with a banana or any fresh fruit, soaked almonds, or soaked raisins, but not with tea or coffee. There’s no better start to the day than consuming fresh fruit, nuts, and raisins. Going by the norm, a lot of people start their day with tea or coffee, but this is not the ideal move to make if fitness is your goal. The all-rounder banana entails several health benefits such as fiber, weight loss, prevention of constipation, and improving blood sugar levels. 7-8 soaked raisins with 1-2 strands of kesar are ideal for people who suffer from low energy levels and PMS (Premenstrual syndrome). Consume 4-6 soaked and peeled almonds for combating insulin resistance, diabetes, PCOD, low fertility, or poor sleep quality. Specifically for PCOD, switch to 7-8 raisins and 1-2 strands of kesar 10 days before the menstrual cycle begins.
Add 1 tsp of ghee to breakfast, lunch, and dinner
From the shastras to your grandparents, the Sunday Mail of London, and the Cleveland Clinic of the USA, everyone has sung glories of ghee which is a core ingredient of every Indian kitchen. Adding a tbsp of ghee to lunch or dinner helps with energy, sweet cravings, constipation, and irritable bowel
syndrome. The golden elixir can be consumed with makhanas, laddoos, or after dinner to maintain healthy skin and keep joints supple. Ghee by nature is lipolytic, meaning it helps break down stubborn fats, helps us de-stress, assimilate nutrients, is rich in antioxidants, and reduces glycaemic index to aid the regulation of blood sugar.
Don’t limit yourself to a light evening snack, instead eat a wholesome meal between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.
The make-or-break evening meal is the most important meal of the day according to Rujuta Diwekar. She strongly advises her clients to take this make-or-break meal seriously, as this determines the outcome of a fitness plan. This meal of course can be followed by a light dinner. A handful of chana or groundnuts for diabetics and jaggery with ghee chapatis for low HB levels are listed in the evening snack recommendations of the 12-week fitness project. Light dinner meals such as poha, upma, dosa, egg toast, protein shake, or besan laddoos post-6 pm will keep you sustained after long and tiring work hours.
Move more, sit less. Take the stairs. Park a car as far as possible. Once a week do a task usually taken up by paid help or a machine.
9-5 jobs, household chores, and other miscellaneous tasks leave no time for a workout. How does one bridge the gap? By taking
the stairs, standing up for 3 minutes for every 30 minutes of sitting, performing one chore performed by house help once a week, and taking 100 easy steps after dinner. Park your car far away so you can sneak in a walk - every time you go out. Don’t forget to take a 10-15 minute stroll every day.
start with at least one session of strength training every week
It is pivotal to gain lean body weight to lose weight. As we get older, our fat begins to infiltrate our muscles, and our anabolic response - strength training is a good way to turn that around. Don’t just focus on increasing reps - increase the weights you lift. Strength training is extremely effective but an undervalued intervention for maintaining hormonal health. It keeps your insulin sensitive, prevents diabetes, regulates the period cycle, and stimulates growth hormones. Plan for at least 150 minutes of total workout time in the week with a 2-day gap between two weight training sessions. Don’t forget to build in rest days and schedule cardio a day after weight training.

Did you know that the quintessential go-to Indian meal ‘Dal Rice’ is an excellent pre-biotic, lowers cholesterol levels, and reduces the risk of heart disease? Just because you are following a weight loss diet do not limit your rice options to brown rice, because the excess
fibre in brown rice comes in the way of absorption of minerals like zinc, crucial for insulin function. White rice has a lot of lesser-known benefits such as vitamin B1 which is good for inflammation and bloating, resistant starch which prevents cancer, and BCAA (branch chain amino acids) in rice helps see results of workout faster.

In a scene from the Sunny Deol-starrer ‘Gadar 2’, a huge hand pump abruptly occupies the entire screen space in the middle of a crucial fight sequence between Indians and Pakistanis.
As the audience bursts out laughing, Deol merely looks at the pump — good enough to let us know he is aware of all those who have invented jokes about him and his special talent for yanking pumps off the ground. No spoilers, but as expected, keep your ear plugs safe if you must endure the high-decibel drama at a theatre.
That, in a way, summarizes the sequel to ‘Gadar 2’, where despite the familiar territory of Pakistan being the enemy country, it is seen sowing seeds of utmost compassion for Indians not once but quite a few times.
‘Gadar 2’ is yet again a period action drama film directed and produced by Anil Sharma, and written by Shaktimaan Talwar. It need not have been a sequel since the plot is precisely the same — that of an Indian crossing the borders and falling in love with a damsel who is, obviously, a Pakistani.
And you guessed it right! There’s blatant and unashamed jingoism, and muscle flexing that stuns the entire army of Pakistan, and the intrepid Indians manoeuvre their way into the bylanes of Lahore without the fear of getting recognized, let alone being attacked by cops, soldiers and other people gunning for them.
Sunny is back in a role that made history with ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’ tying as the biggest money-spinner along with Aamir Khan’s ‘Lagaan’ — and both films were released on the same day, June 15, 2001.
It’s 1971 and Tara Singh (Deol) and Sakina (Ameesha Patel) are seen living peacefully in Punjab with their son Charanjeet (Utkash Sharma), who, much against his father’s wishes, aspires to be a film star. Singh would have none of it and keeps reprimanding his son from time to time, urging him to study hard.
Soon, when Pakistan attacks India, Deol, who as a transporter operates a fleet of trucks, is asked to cart arms and supplies to the Indian soldiers who were caught unawares. The request is made by Lieutenant Colonel Devendra Rawat (Gaurav Chopra), who has tremendous respect for Singh.
In Lahore, meanwhile, Major General Hamid Iqbal (Manish Wadhwa) hasn’t forgiven Tara for destroying their troops singlehandedly earlier. Later, Singh travels back to the same land in the backdrop of the ‘Crush India’ campaign, in what appears to be a personal mission to save his son Charanjeet ‘Jeete’ Singh
who, when his father doesn’t return for three years, is determined to get him back home. He too, like his father, falls for a Pakistani pretty face, Muskaan (Simrat Kaur), and the two swear undying love for each other.
But he is imprisoned and tortured by the Pakistani soldiers under Major General Hamid Iqbal. The fights, the mission, the backdrop and even some of the stars have become familiar faces for all those who would recall the film more than 20 years ago.
If there is something different or fresh in this version, it’s the portrayal of sensitive Pakistanis, both on and off the battlefield, who get tearyeyed imagining an Indian traversing a long distance from India to look for his father.

Primarily, it is carried within wildlife, especially bats, and then can be transferred to your pet during an encounter, where bites or wounds take place and saliva enters the site of impact. Similarly, if an infected animal were to bite a human, it would give precedent for possible rabies infection spread.
The most common physical signs that your dog or cat may display is behavior change and increased vocalization. This means that your pet may show excessive aggressiveness, hiding constantly, irritability and even extreme excitability. Your furry companion may show lameness in their gait. Depending on each animal, these signs could present themselves as very acute and quick to take place, or they could also take their time and progressively
develop over a period. Classically, there are two main forms of this disease that are known to present within the patient. The first form is called the ‘Dumb Form’. In this, the patient mainly presents with salivating from the mouth excessively and may find it difficult to swallow in general. The second form is called the ‘Furious Form”. This form presents more behavioral issues of being very anxious and aggressive. These animals may also experience seizures and unfortunately, become paralyzed in the process.
Typically, if any animal is suspected to have Rabies, the ideal and standard method of diagnosing includes testing the brain and sending it to a laboratory for confirmed analysis. However, there are many different protocols set in place for different case scenarios for
certain animals or pets that have been potentially exposed. If your pet is unvaccinated and has seemed to encounter this disease, the options are plain and simple. Depending on if any symptoms are present and the condition of the animal, either legally it will be euthanized and a brain sample will be sent for testing, or your pet will be placed in a quarantine situation for four months. However, they will be given a rabies vaccination upon their entry into this quarantine period. If your pet is fully vaccinated with the Rabies vaccine and is up to date with its current one, then a booster rabies vaccination will be administered right away, and the owner will be responsible for keeping their pet in quarantine and strict observation for up to 45 days. Any pets that have taken the rabies vaccine before, however are now overdue for their current one during a situation like this, will need to show proof of such from their owners. Once proof of vaccination has been presented, the animal will receive a booster Rabies vaccination and again be kept under strict quarantine and observation by their owner for 45 days.
Protocols also extend towards animals who may be exposed and have bitten humans. If that dog or cat is overall very healthy, whether it has received a rabies vaccine prior or not, legally it will need to be quarantined for 10 days. The 10-day
mark is important, as it is the average time in which aggressive signs of rabies in animals may present themselves. However, this healthy animal at the time will not receive any rabies vaccine. This incident will legally be reported to the local health department once any new symptoms, indicating Rabies, have taken place. If symptoms do arise, then euthanasia and a brain sample submission will be given. If the animal that bit the human is a stray or unwanted dog or cat, then immediate euthanasia and rabies testing will occur.
We highly recommend that it is very important to always keep track of your pet’s vaccination status and have them up to date on all their vaccines. Unfortunately, in situations like this, the biggest regret that most pet owners will experience is not being up to date on their pet’s rabies vaccination and thus having the animal suffer the consequences.

There is a saying, “We become parents and realize our triggers due to childhood trauma. And while we learn to heal and navigate through it we give some trauma to our kids again”.
Anger is one such emotion we learn to manage through our parents and surroundings and our kids learn to manage their anger from our reactions and words.
We need to drill this in our heads and heart, “Kids are through us and not for us”. Kids give us an amazing opportunity to see how a baby (blank slate) is evolving as an emotionally and intellectually smart being. Change is a natural and irresistible process. We cannot stop it but we can definitely control it.
This is true for everything, yes even when it comes to raising kids. Kids can be molded and outcomes can be controlled.
Kids experience every emotion that we experience as an adult, happiness, sadness, anxiety, frustration, violence, love, empathy, etc. it’s human to feel all emotions there is no such thing as negative or positive emotion when we deal with all emotions mindfully.
As an adult, we have developed a method of coping up with each emotion. The factors that determine how we deal with any motions are: How you were guided to handle that emotion until the age of 5. How you were treated for expressing that emotion.

As a child, if you were guided to speak out whenever you need help, as an adult you will be ok in asking for help.
As a child, if you were shamed
for asking for help with things you do not know or cannot do, you will feel shameful every time you have to seek help.

So it all narrows down to how mindful we are or what we try to be while feeling, communicating, and reacting emotionally. Anger is one such emotion when handled mindfully can be resourceful to kids, it can help them understand their own shortcomings and help them grow and achieve great things in life. So what can be done to help kids navigate through anger or what factors should be
taken care of to raise mindfully aware kids for the emotion of anger?
Terms used frequently (oM: old method, MM: mindful method) Identify your own emotion and label the feeling correctly in front of the child:
oM: When an adult feels anger, there is an automated response saved(coping mechanism for each feeling) and without realizing the adult would react that way, either shout or scream or hit.
MM: When an adult feels anger, he can communicate to a child in these words. I am just feeling angry right now and do not want to react to it, can we speak
after some time? Or I am feeling angry and might burst out in emotions. Please excuse me and just leave the room till you calm down.
This will help the child identify the emotion and when he feels similar it will be easier for the child to express. The child understands what is happening with the adult and will model this behavior as a kid and also when he becomes an adult.
Detach the feeling from the person, scenario, or event:
oM: I am angry because you did XYZ because you never listen because you are screaming.
MM: I am feeling angry due to my emotional vulnerability and not because the person, scenario, or event is bad. Yes in some cases it will be bad but learn to detach from the person, scenario, and event and calm yourself and then see what can be done to solve it.
Kids have breakdowns, and tantrums because they are navigating hard feelings and in that moment all they need is a calm parent to help them navigate through the storm.
Hence anger in kids can be managed only by managing emotions in adults. But there are certain psychological conditions when kids cannot manage or navigate their emotions even after the parents try to be mindful and monitor the surroundings. We see such conditions often in the clinic under the diagnosis of autism and homeopathy with counseling has worked wonderfully in calming the nerves without giving any numbing effects of high quantity chemically loaded drugs. And this is therefore the future of psychology and medicine.
