I always dreamt to become a travel host when I was young. Traveling is my great passion in life. It has been something that has become a part of me. To visit every country on this earth would be my ultimate dream. Exploring the food, the people, the culture, the adventure and the beauty of everything around us, is just amazing!

I just realized recently that sharing my experience in traveling to social media would be surprising - it plays an increasingly more important role in the life of society today anyway. YouTube, being one of the mainstream social media, allows users to share their videos online, create their channels and, thus, create their virtual communities united by common interests.

So I asked myself, Can I do better than what’s already out there? What topics will I be covering? Who are the viewers I am making videos for? Why should people watch my videos? How long should the videos be? This is the moment when I thought of my students who are denitely an inspiration to me. That if you believe you can and will do something; you will nd the means to make it happen.

I have to start with the right motivation! I mean, more than motivation in the sense of being eager to start making videos. I want to make an impact, to inspire others especially my students and lead the viewers that nothing is impossible. But how’s my full time job then? Like anything in life that’s worth doing, starting a YouTube channel means putting a lot of time, eort and determination. I will need to learn

how to create high-quality videos, how to promote them on and o YouTube, how to attract viewers, and many other tricks of the trade that can be learned by doing. Performativity, productivity and time management is at stake! One thing stick in my mind, this doesn’t happen overnight. I don’t have to worry that the content I create is less good than everyone else’s right o the bat. I don’t have to compete. What’s important is to be authentic. I am unique and imperfect. I will share my thoughts and express my true self.

Again, I just have to start and give it a try! I will show the viewers the real me!

Shout out to my best buddies Sean Napier and Tateki Ikdea who have always been there to help and support me in this new journey I’m taking.
