A B O U T Sunpuma® are true matchmakers. Purple or yellow, big or small. It doesn’t matter which flower, Sunpuma® loves them all. You can easily mix them with every flower or plant of your choice, to customize your plant basket the way you like it. The only question is… Do you dare to mix it up? The Sunpuma® collection is a range of Ipomoea that grows easily, stays compact and is available early in the season. They are suitable for a very large range of display. It doesn’t matter if you want to make hanging baskets, balcony containers, window boxes, containers of various sizes or landscape presentations - there will always be a Sunpuma® that fits your desire. With their attractive and striking foliage, they turn every garden or balcony into an eye-catching spectacle. The perfect exception To the existing powerful range of Sunpuma®, a new variety is added. The Purple Princess - a striking plant with unique qualities that are very unusual for an Ipomoea. Where the normal Ipomoea is only trailing, the Sunpuma® Purple Princess is trailing and upright growing. Therefore, it can be used either as a hanging or as a climbing plant! Another unique particularity of this variety is its flower power. Unlike the other Ipomoeas, Purple Princess shows an
amazing quantity of pinkish flowers with an impressive size for this genus. In general, Ipomoea are known as plants that can be mixed perfectly with other flowers or plants and are almost never used alone. However, with its striking purple foliage and its display of beautiful, real eye-catching velvet flowers, Sunpuma® Purple Princess is the ideal pot plant to make a statement on its own! Urban jungle Living and styling with plants - it’s an upcoming trend in the world these days. More and more, plants and green should be a fully integrated aspect of your home and garden design. Not only has research shown that there are many benefits to integrate plants into your daily life, such as improved health, happier moods, better job satisfaction and stronger relationships. Also, flora and wildlife benefit from it. But with plants you can also show how beautiful, creative and even artistic living can be. For example, with a green rooftop terrace or a conservatory in your home. With its striking foliage and ability to mix it up with other greens and flowers, the Sunpuma® collection is perfect to bring this urban trend alive. Discover the complete Sunpuma® collection in this brand booklet and how you can make these fantastic plants part of your life.

I D E N T I T Y The keywords of the Sunpuma® collection are metropolitan, natural and easy to mix. Qualities that had to match the brand identity of this outstanding plant. Sunpuma® will bring the warm colours of nature into your city or garden and perfectly blend in with every flower and plant of your preference. To customize your urban lifestyle the way you like it! The brand logo that is designed for the collection, displays the brand name in the middle of a thin, golden circle. The Sunpuma® collection is based on the idea that wildcats have the ability to blend in with their surrounding, just as Sunpuma® have the ability to blend with other plants and flowers. The golden circle stands for endlessness - the perfect description for the mixing possibilities that Sunpuma® offers.
The colours that have been chosen to represent the brand identity of Sunpuma® are azure blue and the camouflage colours brown, taupe and orange-red. Azure blue is a bright cyan-blue colour that is often described as the colour of the sky on a clear day. Brown is known for its stable and solid characteristics, whereas red-orange is associated with warmth, intensity and openness. Taupe is seen as a timeless colour between gray and brown. It has the ability to neutralize contrasting colours and can be easily combined with vivid colours, as well as natural colours and pastels. Together, the colours of Sunpuma® combine the qualities that the brand offers: a striking plant that is open to be mixed and gives your garden the touch of your choice.

How to use Sunpuma® are unique plants with an ornamental value due to their leaf colors, ranging from almost black to lime green. For most of the Ipomoea, flowers are absent or very small. Sunpuma® are vigorous creepers or vines plants which make them very suitable for hanging baskets, windows/balcony boxes and landscaping. Most of them will not climb very easy but have excellent hanging characteristics. In the good conditions, they will display a big show of coloured leaves, that you can mix almost endlessly, displaying spectacular creations. It is possible to play with the varieties, planting different foliage color together but it is also recommended to play with crops, mixing your Sunpuma® with a red Surfinia® or a yellow Beedance® for example. Just set your imagination free! Growing scheme Stick URC Week 1

Potting Week 5
For small pots, you can count approximately 2 months, regarding the planting date and the conditions. For a harvest from May, plants can be potted in March/April.
For hanging baskets, you can count approximately 2,5 months, regarding the planting date and the conditions. For a harvest from May, plants can be potted between February and April. We recommend to plant 3 cuttings per hanging baskets. Propagation Sunpuma® are easy to root: regarding the season it will take 3 to 4 weeks to have a rotted cutting ready to be potted. The last week of rooting, start to reduce the humidity, watering and temperature to acclimate your cuttings. Rooting hormones can be used. Potting Start with certified clean material from one of the official MNP flowers dealers. Because cuttings are growing very fast, it is recommended to pinch them all while still in the trays. This will allow a better branching and a more homogeneous culture. Sunpuma® are suitable for a large range of pots sizes, from 10,5/12 cm to hanging baskets. Use a good quality bedding plant mixture that can contain enough moisture and has a good structure. pH of mixture can be around 5,0/6,0. Pinching It is recommended to pinch your Sunpuma® in the first 2 weeks after potting, regarding plant size. A 2nd pinching is strongly advised for all final products. Indeed, the culture of Sunpuma® is fast and plants are not easy self-branching so a 2nd pinching will not delay the growing time but will allow the production of a better final product.

Growing 1. Growing time Crop time varies according the final desired product and the growing conditions, especially the temperature. Please note than Sunpuma® don’t like cold conditions, so there is no need to start to pot them very early and it is recommended to avoid culture in cold greenhouses. If you choose for an early planting, it is advised to grow them with other plants which like warm (for example Torenia or Impatiens). For later planting, you can follow the scheme of normal bedding plants. 2. Media and fertilizer Keep the pH around 5,0/6,0 and use constant feed at 1/1,5 g/L of a well-balanced mixture. Do not feed excessively, otherwise the plants will grow too vigorously. 3. Temperature Sunpuma® like warm temperature and will not grow well in cold environment. After potting keep the temperature high, more than 20°C for at least two weeks. If desired temperature can be reduced later once the plant is well established but it is not recommended going under 15°C, otherwise the growth will stop. They don’t stand frost. 5. Watering Sunpuma® have high requirement in water if grown in the correct conditions. Keep the medium always moderate moist. Plants will stay more compact if they are not watered excessively but water stays important for this crop with high needs.
6. Growth regulation Growth can be controlled with less watering or by using growth regulator. We have an good experience with Alar at 3 to 4 g/L. Please note that the need of growth regulation is highly dependent of the variety characteristics 7. Crop protection White flies can be an issue for Sunpuma®, as well as thrips (Thysanoptera) which can cause deformed leaves. Please note that caterpillars love eating the leaves and damages can become very important if not controlled soon enough. Disclaimer The information above has been compiled with maximum care and is based on our current knowledge. When using crop protection products or growth regulators, always comply with applicable laws and regulations in your country.

Our four core activities The business of MNP flowers can broadly be divided into four core activities. 1. Testing & selection Each year MNP flowers selects and tests new and innovative varieties in close consultation with Suntory速 Flowers Ltd. The breeding of the plants takes place in Japan, Vietnam and Australia, where an extensive team of professionals works passionately together to create perfect plants for every garden and balcony worldwide. Thereafter, the quality and selection specialists of MNP flowers select the plants and varieties that are suited best to the European market of today. With a clear vision, profound insight and common sense, they test the selected novelties extensively at several testing locations. Requirements that need to be met by our novelties are earliness, sturdiness, floriferousness, weather resistance, colour consistency, growth and more. 2. Building brands After the final selection, the specialists decide which varieties will be introduced and which will be either retested or dismissed. This is the point where we start building brands! The marketing department is the creative heart of our organization. To perfectly position new products into the market, a specified market research is conducted to identify the end consumer of each novelty and his or her corresponding preferences. Thereafter, the product name and brand design is discussed and created in several intensive brainstorm sessions. We develop a brand story, a brand logo, labels,
pots, leaflets and an online platform, to present the brand in every way. Now the product is ready to be marketed! 3. Introduction, sales and licensing The most important activity is bringing our new varieties (novelties) to the professional market. MNP flowers introduces new varieties three times a year: during the IPM, the FlowerTrials速 and the FloraHolland Trade Fair. Consequently, there is always a reason to visit MNP flowers, both on location and during exhibitions. During a visit, business partners can express their interest in a new product and decide whether they want to run trials or to add the introduction to their assortment straightaway. To take up a new variety, a small license fee has to be paid for every Suntory速 plant that is sold. MNP flowers compensate for this fee by creating free marketing concepts, arranging free publicity and PR, safeguarding plant quality, future breeding activities, etc. for its partners. Hence, plants of MNP flowers are protected by trademark and plant variety rights. 4. Monitoring and support At MNP flowers we are happy to guide, advise and provide our business partners in all the support they need. Therefore, we work closely together with our licensees. We visit them as much as possible, not only to consult them about propagating and growing specific Suntory速 varieties, but also to listen and learn from their experiences in the field. This means, we can benefit from each other and establish a continuous growth and improvement of our business and breeding strategy every year.
