TUESDAY

everyone’s talking about... celebrities DAVID BECKHAM AFFAIR CLAIMS RESURFACE

David and Victoria Beckham are back in the limelight again 20 years after the Rebecca Loos affair allegations were first published, as Rebecca reiterates her claims she “never lied about her 2004 affair with David Beckham”.

The recent exclusive interview with ‘60 Minutes Australia’ - published on March 30th - sees Rebecca reflect on her alleged fling with the former England Captain, which first made headlines around the world in April 2004.

The Beckhams’ former assistant, now aged 47, claims she had an affair with David and that she has “stuck to the truth” for 20 years whilst also alleging (much to The Beckhams’ annoyance) that she wasn't the only one

Rebecca Loos revealed to the Australian publication last month: “It was a very brave thing to do, to go up against them. I have stuck to the truth, I’ve never exaggerated. I never lied about a single thing. Why? Because I’m going up against the strongest, most powerful couple in the media. And all I had on my side was the truth.”

David has denied all cheating allegations over the years, putting on a united front with wife Victoria.

However, he did acknowledge in his 2023 Netflix Documentary, ‘Beckham’, that he and Victoria experienced “significant hardship” when news of the

David Beckham was at the time relocating to Spain to play for Read Madrid while Victoria and their young sons were still living in the UK. His assistant Rebecca (fluent in Spanish) was said to be “helping David settle into his new life in Spain.” And the rest, so it seems, if Loos is to be believed!

SHANE WARNE COVER UP

Cricket legend Shane Warne was found dead in his Thai hotel room in 2022 and it has been revealed this month that a sex drug was found and covered up at the time.

According to the local police chief who investigated the Australian cricketer’s death –he was told to hide the opened Kamagra bottle (liquid Viagra) that was found near Warne’s body.

Kamagra is illegal in Thailand and contains chemicals that help men with erectile dysfunction. It is not known whether this could have been a contributing factor to Warne’s death. A post-mortem carried out in Thailand at the time concluded that the 52-year-old died of natural causes.

JESY NELSON TWIN PREGNANCY UPDATE

Singer Jesy Nelson shared a heart-warming video to her fans on Mother’s Day that confirms she is still pregnant with twins following a health scare, where she tearfully revealed that she had to undergo an emergency operation to give her unborn twins “the best chance of survival.”

"Hi guys, so we just wanted to give you an update because we know it's been a while. First of all we want to say a Happy Mother's Day to all the amazing and strong mums out there. And secondly, we are still in hospital, so I've been recovering.”

The 33-year-old singer and her partner Zion went on to say: "But, we have some amazing news. The TTTS has cleared up, the operation was a success which is just absolutely incredible. We are so, so, lucky to have the most amazing doctors. Basically, the situation that we're in now is my cervix is very, very, short, so I can't leave the hospital because my waters could break at any point and I'm still very, very, early."

AND JUST LIKE THAT

TV fans, get ready for a superb Summer of binge-worthy spinoffs!

The world of scripted television is expanding big time this year, with beloved franchises like ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’, ‘Yellowstone’ and ‘Virgin River’ making fresh comebacks.

‘And Just Like That’, the sequel to ‘Sex and the City’, is returning for its third season with new cast members and tantalising hints at Carrie Bradshaw’s romantic future now that her husband Big was killed off in Season One.

It is not known whether original cast member, Samantha, played by Brit born actress Kim Cattrall will be making a comeback. She was written out and said to be “living in London” in the fictional TV series with only her voice on phone calls used and limited mentions throughout.

However, fans are wanting the actress to reprise her role of Samantha- one of the main four characters - as she was one of the show’s favourites with her hilarious sexual antics when it aired on HBO for six seasons and two movies from 1998 to 2010.

A spat with Executive Producer and main star of the show, Sarah Jessica Parker, was allegedly the reason she did not return as a central character to ‘And Just Like That’ in 2023.

JESSICA SIMPSON VOCAL REMEDY REVEALED

Singer and reality star Jessica Simpson has just revealed her voice coach told her to drink snake sperm to help her improve her singing voice!

“They’re like, ‘What are you drinking?’” Simpson, 44, said in a recent Instagram video. “It’s, like, this Chinese herb thing and I’m, like, ‘I don’t know. My vocal coach told me to drink it.”

She continued, “And they Googled the ingredients and snake sperm was listed. It’s, like, a honey. So, if you wanna good vocal, you gotta drink snake sperm!”

The news comes as Simpson has released her first record in 15 years, an EP titled ‘Nashville Canyon, Part 1.’

She added, “I sing because I’m happy, I sing because I’m free. His eyes are on the sparrow and I know He watches me,” Simpson wrote via Instagram earlier this month. “God told me I needed to feel the fear and do it anyway as I’m moving into my truth while embracing the beauty of uncertainty. Nashville Canyon is the result of learning to hear my heart again, free from industry expectations. It’s about surrendering, letting my voice be my main guide, and trusting the journey ahead. Always inviting God into the room where music creates itself, with a voice that communicates on a spiritual level of grace without fear and allowing the music to be my main voice.”

• This advanced technology not only enhances comfort but also improves the efficacy of the treatment, making it ideal for sensitive areas such as the face and scalp.

WHAT SHOULD CLIENTS EXPECT DURING THE TREATMENT?

Each Exosome Treatment session typically lasts 45-60 minutes. After a thorough skin or scalp assessment, Dr Chandni will apply the exosomes to the targeted area using a precise method, It is first microneedled using a microneedling pen, followed by delivery with Target Cool technology. The treatment is comfortable, with minimal downtime, and you can return to your daily activities shortly after.

WHAT RESULTS SHOULD CLIENTS EXPECT?

Exosome Therapy offers progressive, long-lasting results. For skin rejuvenation, you’ll notice an improvement in texture, hydration, firmness and radiance over the weeks following treatment. • Fine lines and wrinkles

• Acne scars and other textural issues

The results from Ablative CO2 Fractional Laser Resurfacing are long-lasting, typically maintained for over a year with good skincare habits and sun protection.

IS THIS TREATMENT RIGHT FOR YOU?

WINNER BEST RESTAURANT (MEDITERRANEAN)

RECIPE

MARY BERRY EASTER FEAST

Enjoy this family Easter lamb dish (that serves 6) from the BBC Good Food Guide & celeb chef Mary Berry. The key to this recipe is all about slow cooking the lamb – if yours needs a little longer then leave it in the oven. The results will be so tender, and as Mary promises “it will be worth the extra time.”

INGREDIENTS:

• 2.25kg/5lb whole shoulder of lamb, skin on

• 4 garlic cloves, sliced

• 2 large onions, cut into quarters

• 750g/1lb 10oz waxy potatoes, such as Desiree, peeled and cut into thick 2cm/¾in slices

• 570ml/1pint hot lamb or beef stock

• green vegetables, to serve

• For the gravy

• 3 tbsp lamb fat (see method)

• 50g/1¾oz plain flour

• 450ml/16fl oz hot lamb or beef stock

• 100ml/3½fl oz red wine

• 1–2 tsp redcurrant jelly

• few drops Worcestershire sauce

• gravy browning (optional)

METHOD:

1. Preheat the oven to 220C/200C Fan/Gas 7.

2. Sit the lamb, skin-side up, on a board. Using a sharp knife, insert irregular holes through the skin. Insert the garlic into the holes.

3. Place the lamb in a roasting tin and roast for about 20 minutes until brown. Carefully turn the lamb over and roast for a further 20–30 minutes until brown all over.

4. Boil the onion in water for 10 minutes, then add the potatoes and boil for 4 minutes. Drain well.

5. Remove the lamb from the tin. Add the onions and potatoes to the tin and mix together. Add the stock to the tin, then put the lamb on top and cover tightly with foil.

6. Reduce the temperature of the oven to 160C/140C Fan/Gas 3 and cook for 3½–4 hours, or until the lamb is completely tender. Remove the lamb from the tin and place on a board.

7. Strain off the fat from the tin into a small bowl in order to use in the gravy. Increase the oven to 220C/200C Fan/Gas7 and put the potatoes and onions back into the oven to brown for 25 minutes.

8. To make the gravy, spoon the lamb fat into a saucepan. Add the flour and stir over the heat for 30 seconds. Whisk in the stock, wine, redcurrant jelly, Worcestershire sauce and browning. Whisk until thickened and bubbling.

9. Carve the lamb and serve with gravy and potatoes and onion. Serve with green vegetables.

WINE MATCH

The obvious choice with lamb is a robust red. Choose from classic grape varieties, such as Pinot Noir, Tempranillo, Sangiovese or a Cabernet Sauvignon. These are our first choices if you are looking to pair wine with this tasty slow cooked lamb dish from Mary Berry. Alternatively, fans of white should go for a crisp white wine with good acidity, such as a dry Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio, which provide a refreshing contrast to the richness of the dish. Or if going all out this Easter - a vintage rose champagne would be a great treat for your guests.

MOVIE REVIEW ALBUM REVIEW BOOK REVIEW

SIX THE MUSICAL LIVE!

The original Queens are back and hitting the big screen this month in ‘SIX The Musical Live!’ from 6th April.

Winner of over 35 awards, experience the best of British Musical history in a live capture of the must-see musical sensation, ‘SIX The Musical.’

The Original West End cast reunite at London’s Vaudeville Theatre in front of a sold-out audience to strut their stuff and re-write their Tudor traumas in an unmissable cinematic recording of the show packed full of style, sass and sensational songs.

Watched by audiences of over 3.5 million, ‘SIX The Musical’, has become a global theatre phenomenon since it’s 2017 debut at Edinburgh Festival Fringe, where it redefined the boundaries of musical theatre.

The show tells the extraordinary story of the six wives of King Henry VIII, who step out of the shadow of their infamous husband and reclaim their own narratives.

Written by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss, the pop-inspired musical brings the queens - Catherine of Aragon (played by Jarnéia Richard-Noel), Anne Boleyn (Millie O'Connell), Jane Seymour (Natalie Paris), Anne of Cleves (Alexia McIntosh), Katherine Howard (Aimie Atkinson), and Catherine Parr (Maiya Quansah-Breed) — right into the 21st century with infectious, empowering performances, accompanied by the talented on-stage band, the Ladies in Waiting.

Six fans can also head to Nova Cinema in Woking on Tuesday 8th April to hear a live Q&A from key cast members Aimie Atkinson and RhianneLouise McCaulsky from 7.30pm –followed by a screening of the must-see film at 8.30pm.

Book in early to avoid disappointment.

TRUE ELECTRIC - RÖYKSOPP

Röyksopp - the Norwegian electronic music duo of Svein Berge and Torbjørn Bruntland - are back with a fantastic, new album this month.

‘True Electric’ follows last December’s ‘Nebulous Nights - An Ambient Excursion Into Profound Mysteries’ and is being released on April 11th.

The news of the album was released back in January 2025. The band urged fans to check out the uber cool, re-released track ‘What Else Is There?’ from ‘True Electric’ - featuring the talented Fever Ray and Trentemøller.

The original ‘What Else Is There?’ appeared on Röyksopp’s 2005 album, ‘The Understanding’. However, the new version is updated to reflect how it sounds in a live Röyksopp DJ set.

In fact, nearly all of the songs on the new album are updates of older tracks, such as the Robyn collaborations ‘The Girl and the Robot’ and ‘Monument.’

Röyksopp explained, “True Electric consists of recordings and renditions, meant to capture the essence of our live shows bearing the same name. The idea was to put an emphasis on the clubbier aspects of our music, as well as returning to our roots within the realms of electronic music.”

Is it worth the purchase price though, seeing as though a lot of the music is remixed?

In short, yes if you are a fan of Electronic Dance Music (EDM) – as these two boys are masters of their craft – great rhythms, vocals and a catchy soundtrack to really get your Summer going!

KT TUNSTALL EXCLUSIVE

Brit and Ivor Novello award-winning 'Suddenly I See' singer, KT Tunstall, will be performing at Guilfest on Sunday 6th July at Stoke Park, Guildford. The Scottish born singer-songwriter will be entertaining the masses with her hits both old and new, including the uber cool titled track ‘Black Horse and the Cherry Tree’. KT was born Kate Victoria Tunstall in Edinburgh in 1975 and will be turning 50 this year with a party like no other!

(Read on to find out more!)

She grew up in St Andrews, Fife and spent her last year at school in Connecticut in the States. Following this KT spent her spare time busking around Vermont and returned to the UK to study Drama & Music at the Royal Holloway University in London.

Having sung with various bands and collaborated with members of the Scottish music cooperative band called “The Fence Collective”, KT then signed a solo deal with Relentless Records and released her debut album, ‘Eye To The Telescope’ in 2004.

KT Tunstall’s big break came when she was a last-minute replacement for the rapper Nas on ‘Later… with Jools Holland.’ She then went on to win ‘Best British Female Artist’ at the 2006 Brit Awards and ‘Best Song Musically and Lyrically’ for ‘Suddenly I See’ at the Ivor Novello Awards the same year. More recently she was inaugurated in the “music hall of fame” with her second Ivor Novello Award in 2024 for ‘Outstanding song Collection.’

We got to catch up with the Scottish hitmaker for this exclusive cover star interview, courtesy of Jess and Tony Scott, from the Guilfest. Hope you enjoy reading….

THIS YEAR MARKS THE 20TH ANNIVERSARY OF YOUR HIT DEBUT ALBUM, ‘EYE TO THE TELESCOPE’, HOW DOES IT FEEL TO HAVE BEEN IN THE LIMELIGHT FOR TWO DECADES NOW?

KT: I'm feeling extremely grateful for this long career doing what I love. It can't happen without the support of fans and people continuing to relate to what I'm making, and my favourite thing about all of it is that I've made the things I've wished to make and have the freedom to keep doing that. I feel very, very lucky in that.

WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR BIGGEST CAREER HIGHLIGHT?

KT: It's hard to say as there's been a few, and each has been incredibly special in their own way at that time. The most recent would have to be the Ivor Novello Award for ‘Outstanding Song Collection’. It was so unexpected, and I felt very loved on receiving that! Song-writing craft is the soul of all of this for me, and to be celebrated for that aspect meant a huge amount.

WHAT INSPIRES YOU WHEN WRITING MUSIC?

KT: Nature, memorable phrases, very specific and personal lyrics, stories, memories of moments of emotional intensity, and always struggle and pain; when you can transmute those things into something useful and beautiful, it feels like you've done something right.

WHAT'S YOUR FAVOURITE SONG TO PERFORM LIVE & WHY?

KT: I have to say 'Suddenly I See' - it's such a fun song physically to perform, the swing, the execution of the rhythm, but also looking at all these grinning faces, everyone singing along, looking at everyone remembering what the song reminds them of, where they were, it's fantastic fun.

WHAT INSPIRED YOUR HIT 'BIG BLACK HORSE AND THE CHERRY TREE'?

KT: For a long time I had no idea what that song was about, it was just the first words that came to me. I knew it was about choosing between light and dark, a Robert Johnson-esque Devil-At-The-Crossroads blues tune, and over time I realised it was about the anxiety around signing a record deal. All through my 20's I proactively tried to stay independent, but eventually had to capitulate to signing a deal, and at the time it felt like caving to a system I didn't want to be part of. Thankfully, they did me proud and we had a hit record!

YOU TURN 50 THIS YEAR WE HEAR! HOW ARE YOU CELEBRATING?

KT: I formed a vision in my mind a couple of years ago of how I wanted to celebrate it. Something epic. As it's the 20th anniversary of ‘Eye To The Telescope’, I wanted to play the album from start to finish and twin it with my birthday celebrations. My dream venue was the Royal Albert Hall...so that's what I'm doing! Celebrating with an amazing band and 5000 fans!

WHAT ELSE ARE YOU WORKING ON AT THE MOMENT?

KT: After opening ‘Clueless’ on the West End in February which was such a joy, I have another Musical in the works - an adaptation of the very funny Craig Ferguson and Brenda Blethyn 2000 film, ‘Saving Grace’ - it's in great shape and looking forward to getting that one on stage!

THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA GETS A SURREY MAKEOVER

Stunning Surrey Floral Artist – Lorraine Captan and her business, Forever Bloom, was chosen to design The Devil Wears Prada’s floral installation at The Dominion Theatre in London. We caught up with the red-carpet, floral visionary to hear all about the show-stopping designs from concept to creation.

Lorraine, your floral installation for The Devil Wears Prada (DWP) at the Dominion Theatre was spectacular. How did this come about?

“I was first contacted by Claudia at Dewynters London, who had heard about my work and invited me to submit a design proposal for the production. I knew it would be a high-pressure project with tight deadlines, but I couldn’t resist! The brief was clear: haute couture, red carpet glamour, and a design that would make an unforgettable impact. The design had to emphasis the luxury and bold aesthetics of The DWP world. The film has such a devoted fan base, and with Sir Elton John composing the score and Vanessa Williams starring, I felt a responsibility to do it justice.”

Can you walk us through the journey from concept to execution?

“Absolutely! The process began with the ideation phase and refining ideas until we had a concept that truly captured the spirit of The DWP. Once we developed the vision, we translated it into mood boards and design specifications. The design needed to align thoughtfully with the vision of the production company (Elton John’s Rocket Music), Dewynters' marketing team, and the Dominion Theatre itself, ensuring it enhanced the venue’s grandeur. Once approved, we moved into production, a demanding but exhilarating three-week process of long hours and meticulous craftsmanship. The final installation took just over a day to assemble, secure and apply the all-important finishing touches.”

Tell us more about your design choices?

“The DWP is all about high fashion, confidence, and bold elegance. Red is synonymous with power and glamour, which was the perfect foundation. We adorned 14 metres of the grand foyer staircases with cascading foliage, rich red roses, orchids, and deep crimson blooms, creating that couture-inspired, theatrical display.”

How did you ensure the installation lasted?

“Yes, durability was a key consideration. With high foot traffic, the structure had to be both beautiful and robust. We engineered a secure substructure designed to last up to three years. It was a mini engineering project! We then used only the highest-quality materials, faux flowers and foliage.”

A FESTIVE ENCORE

You were invited back for the theatre’s Christmas event. Tell us about that?

“It was an honour! The red-carpet, Met-gala-Esque event was attended by A-list celebrities, fashion houses, and the press, so no pressure! We wanted something truly dazzling. We transformed the grand staircase with 10,000 warm lights, adding depth and drama to the floral installation. The centrepiece was a striking 1.5-metre Christmas wreath above the champagne bar, adorned with 5,000 twinkling lights, oversized red baubles, metallic gold flowers, and a custom velvet bow. That was the statement piece, and it certainly did its job, charming the public and making waves on social media.”

CREATIVE COLLABORATIONS

What was it like collaborating with Dewynters?

“Claudia Wentworth at Dewynters was a dream to work with- professional, supportive, and full of creative energy. We started discussions in August 2024, but everything was top secret at that stage. It was hard not to share the excitement!”

Claudia had this to say:

“Working with Lorraine has been an absolute pleasure. The moment we began collaborating on The Devil Wears Prada installation, Lorraine and her team immediately "got" the brief and were brimming with creative ideas to bring the vision to life. The stunning Met-gala-Esque staircase installation and bespoke Christmas decorations were highlights that delivered high impact and transformed the theatre space uniquely to the show. Every element was thoughtfully designed, blending high fashion with theatrical elegance - and we were impressed with the attention to detail and premium finish. You're in trusted hands with Forever Bloom. I highly recommend them”.

And what was it like working with the Dominion Theatre?

“The team at the Dominion was fantastic - welcoming, professional, and completely invested in bringing the vision to life. Sophia Rowland, my main contact, was a joy to work with.”

Sophia shared her experience:

"Lorraine and her lovely team at Forever Bloom were a pleasure to work with on The Devil Wears Prada. Initially enlisted to dress our main foyer staircases and add Christmas decorations for our huge The Devil Wears Prada premier gala event that had worldwide press coverage and was livestreamed to thousands. It was important for everyone to capture the show’s opulence, class, and beauty. Lorraine created detailed mood boards and worked closely with our on-site teams to bring the vision to life. Our socials speak for themselves—audiences loved the décor!"

BRINGING SPACES TO LIFE

Lorraine Captan and her team craft unforgettable, highimpact floral designs that command attention. From grand

installations and bespoke statement pieces to festive décor for hotels, restaurants, theatres, retail, and luxury commercial spaces, they bring creativity and elegance to every project. At Jonathan Rowlandson Design we have provided a unique design and build service for a range of clients for over 20 years. With an emphasis on innovative, contemporary design solutions we have risen to the challenge of every project, interior or exterior. Combining our unique approach to metal items with wood, glass, stone, and other materials. At JRD we offer a range of furniture items including the Otolo range. We also design and produce items sympathetic to their environment, be it a rustic bar restaurant with an artisan feel – normally providing seating, counters, bars, lighting, signage, etc. such as Dog Star Brixton – or one-off sculptural items such as the tables for Vivienne Westwood. Our inspiration will often come from the clients’ desires, as well as tapping into nature and art to find a suitable solution. Hardly any 2 projects are the same, we continue to provide new and hopefully better designs.

RESTAURANT REVIEW

THE BLACK SWAN

NEW SPRING/SUMMER MENU WOWS

If you haven’t been to The Black Swan in Ockham yet, then this is the time to try out the award-winning gastropub. Their stunning new S/S25 menu, introduced on March 20th, is by far and away one of the taster’s best gastronomy reviews yet and we are close to 450 of them now!

The food, drinks, service and ambience were spot on. It is no surprise The Black Swan have won ‘Best Gastropub’ in the Surrey Awards two years in a row. Can they make it a hat trick? Find out on May 15th 2025 at G Live in Guildford.

OUR EXPERIENCE

From the minute we walked through the door, we were warmly greeted by Barbie (the charming proprietor) and shown to our seats in the cosmopolitan dining room, adorned with chic blue leather booth-style seating – both

RESTAURANT REVIEW

spacious and comfy, seating large groups in the beautiful, sky lit, main dining area. There are also beautiful alcoves for romantic couples’ dinners and a beautiful, large al fresco dining area to enjoy on warmer Summer days, complete with table tennis and a park for the kids.

The new Black Swan S/S25 Menu was amazing with 30 tantalising options to choose from in total. The varied menu doesn’t leave you too spoilt for choice though as there 9 Starters, 14 Mains and 7 Desserts. All the food is freshly prepared on site and there is an international wine list to accompany, handpicked by Barbie, a true wine connoisseur and her brilliant sommelier and assistant manager Nathan.

SUPERB STARTERS

We were treated to a selection of the great new Starter menu, with 3 diners and 6 dishes in total we were in for a feast! My personal favourite was the ‘Teriyaki Chicken Skewers, Toasted

RESTAURANT REVIEW

Seed & Puffed Rice, Sunflower Seed Satay’ - the meat was so tender and marinated beautifully in the flavoursome Teriyaki. The Satay Sauce with crunchy seed accompaniment blew us all away too – hitting all the right taste notes with the Peanut, Teriyaki and Seed flavours Their famed ‘Lobster Thermidor Sourdough Crumpet served with Pink Grapefruit Salad’ – was the dish we had been waiting to try from their Instagrammable posts of late. And it did not disappoint! Lashings of Lobster served with gooey melted cheese oozing into the fresh sourdough crumpet was perfectly offset with the tanginess of the Grapefruit.

Next up, the ‘Tomato & Mozzarella Gnocchi with Smoked Tomatoes & Basil Pesto’ smelt amazing and tasted even better – fresh, wholesome Italian food at its finest. And healthy may we add! Just like the next Starter dish of ‘Hoisin Mushroom Spring Roll, Pickled Cucumber served with Pink Ginger’ packed full of mushroom it was a great vegetarian option - full of flavour and spices.

The fifth Starter dish of ‘Chalk Stream Smoked Trout, Avocado, Mango, Salted Corn & Wasabi Peas’ turned even one of our reviewers into being a lover of fish (!) as he confirms on his recent Facebook post: ”I don't eat fish and to be honest I decided to try everything out of courtesy. I LIKE FISH!! I had Trout and Lobster!! Something I swore I would never even contemplate eating... I am so glad I did!!! I was blown away with all the flavours that compliment the dishes. The fresh smells really made you ready to tuck right in.”

Finally, we were treated to a mainstay on the menu - ‘Baked Camembert, Roast Garlic, Rosemary, Hot Honey with Warm Sourdough.’ It was sublime and was lapped up by all the diners – not a morsel left on the plate, even the whole garlic cloves were consumed… delicious. A must try dish!

MASTERFUL MAINS & SIDES

Barbie and The Black Swan benefit from having a flexi-menu where they can make tweaks on all the dishes as they see fit. Their main dishes really do cater for vegetarians and vegans, whilst also pushing for more healthy food choices as well as mainstay ‘Fish & Chips’,

‘Pie of the Day’ and ‘Burgers’ - they also have a wide and varied Steak Menu and great international dishes like ‘Garlic Chicken Kiev’s’, ‘King Prawn & Monkfish Malabar Curry’ and ‘Heritage Tomato Panzanella.’

Our first new menu tasting was the ‘Asparagus, Jerusalem Artichokes, Radicchio, Burrata, Orange & Almonds’ – fresh and delicious this was a great alternative to having traditional vegetables with your mains - which we all welcomed. The Burrata Cheese presented in the middle of the vegetable medley was a great idea too.

As was the exceptional new side dish of ‘Baron Bigod Cauliflower Cheese with Parsley Crumb!’ As all our 3 diners agreed wholeheartedly – you can never have enough cheese!

Next up the ‘Tempura Kimchi, Coconut Yoghurt, Guindillas with Miso Tahini Dressing’ was so beautifully presented and tasted divine. The Coconut Yoghurt went perfectly to cool the spicy Kimchi.

You can tell just by presentation of The Black Swan new menu offerings that so much thought has gone into it and the chefs are so skilled and passionate about each dish they produce. Then when you tuck in you can taste the warmth, passion and heart that has been put into it all. All fresh produce with immense colours, textures and flavours – all cooked on site fresh that day with local ingredients from top suppliers. Five star all the way!

RESTAURANT REVIEW

DECADENT DESSERTS

As it came time for the Dessert Course, we really were full, but that didn’t stop us!

Who doesn’t love Dessert and at The Black Swan you have every discerning tastebud covered with the likes of ‘Strawberry Shortbread Cheesecake’ to ‘Sticky Toffee Pudding’ and the Spanish favourite of ‘Orange Polenta Cake’.

We were treated to the most divine new S/S25 Menu offering of ‘Panna Cotta, Thyme Poached Peaches with Yoghurt Crisps.’ The Panna Cotta was so smooth and tasty, rich but not overbearing. The Peaches were plentiful and delightful and the crunch of the handmade ‘Yoghurt Crisps’ ensured it was a superb dish.

The truly remarkable final dish of the day was the new ‘Dark Chocolate Mousse Bombe, with Dulce De Leche’ where you have to crack the chocolate casing exterior of the dome shaped dessert with your spoon to reveal the creamy mousse interior. Sweet, rich and delicious chocolate served with a scoop of the creamy Dulce De Leche on the side made this one to remember! And one we will all definitely come back for.

IN SUMMARY

A huge shout out to the beautiful proprietor Barbie and all the staff at The Black Swan we thoroughly enjoyed our entire visit you were all super friendly and made the experience for us. The new S/S25 Black Swan food menu really is sensational! We are signing off now until next time………which will be very soon!

SID DA BARBER

FROM LONDON FASHION

How Social Media & Networking Can Elevate Your Career

April has arrived, bringing fresh energy to the world of business, fashion and social media! The past few weeks have been a whirlwind - from styling for the Justin Cassin team at London Fashion Week to working at the Brighton Tattoo Convention, and now preparing for my stage appearance at Barber Connect. But this isn't just about barbering; it's about personal branding, networking and using social media to grow in any industry. I've got some key insights to share, including Instagram tips that can help anyone - from business owners to creatives - boost their online presence.

WHAT LFW/25 TAUGHT ME ABOUT SUCCESS

Working behind the scenes at London Fashion Week is always an incredible experience, and this year was no exception. I collaborated with the Justin Cassin team, styling models for the runway with precision and creativity. But beyond the haircuts, the real lesson was about preparation, teamwork and adapting under pressure - skills that apply to any profession.

LEWIS SIDNEY GUMBRELL, ALSO KNOWN AS SID DA BARBER, IS AN ESTEEMED BARBER, EDUCATOR, AWARD-WINNING FINALIST AND PROUD AMBASSADOR FOR TOP BRANDS SUCH AS MCR BARBER SUPPLIES AND RUDE CAPES. HE IS CURRENTLY HONING HIS CRAFT AT JACKS OF LONDON IN GUILDFORD AND TEACHES BARBER EDUCATION TWICE A WEEK. YOU CAN MAKE A BOOKING AND READ MORE ABOUT SID DA BARBER AND HIS BARBERING WORK BY VISITING HIS NEW WEBSITE AT WWW.SIDDABARBER.COM

FASHION WEEK TO BARBER CONNECT

Success isn't just about talent; it's about putting yourself in the right spaces, building relationships and staying open to new opportunities. Whether you're in business, the arts, or any creative field, the key is to step outside your comfort zone. Reach out to brands, collaborate on projects and always be ready to learn from those around you.

THE POWER OF SOCIAL MEDIA: TAKING THE STAGE AT BARBER CONNECT

In May, I'll be stepping onto the stage at Barber Connect to talk about a game-changer for any business: social media Today, success isn't just about being great at your craft - it's about making sure people know about it. Whether you're a barber, entrepreneur or freelancer, social media is the ultimate tool for building a brand, engaging with your audience, and turning followers into customers.

At Barber Connect, I'll be sharing the best strategies for growing an online presence, from content creation and engagement techniques to monetisation and brand collaborations. If you want to stand out in your field, mastering social media is no longer optional - it's essential.

TOP INSTAGRAM TIPS FOR BOOSTING YOUR BUSINESS

Instagram isn't just for influencers - it's a powerful marketing tool for anyone looking to grow a brand or business. Here are some quick and easy ways to get better results:

l Be Consistent– Post regularly and at peak times to stay on people's radar.

l Join Engagement Groups– Connect with others in your industry to like, comment and share each other's content. Want to join mine? Drop me a message!

l Use Stories & Reels– Instagram prioritises these, so they help you reach a wider audience.

l Encourage Interaction–Ask questions, use polls, and create engaging captions to get people talking.

l Show Your Personality– People connect with people, not just businesses! Share behind-the-scenes moments and personal stories.

HOW TO STAND OUT IN YOUR INDUSTRY IN 2024

With so many talented professionals out there, how do you make sure you stand out? Here are two key areas to focus on:

1. BUILD A STRONG PERSONAL

BRAND

What makes you different? Maybe you're known for your attention to detail, your creativity, or your unique way of connecting with clients. Whatever it is, own it.

High-quality content is important, but it's your personality and authenticity that will truly set you apart. People want to work with individuals they trust, so make sure your brand reflects who you are.

2. NETWORK & COLLABORATE

Success isn't just about what you do - it's about who you know. Connecting with the right people can open doors you never even knew existed.

Collaborate with brands, photographers, and influencers. Attend industry events. Introduce yourself to people who inspire you. Whether you're a barber, designer or business owner, building a strong network is key to long-term success.

This year is shaping up to be my biggest yet, and I'm only getting started. From cutting hair for top fashion shows to sharing knowledge on stage, my mission is to inspire and help others grow - no matter what industry they're in.

If you want to be part of my Instagram engagement group, drop me a DM - I'll personally add you in. Let's grow together!

See you at Barber Connect! Siddabarber

EMBRACING HOLISTIC

When it comes to our health, we are constantly searching for what feels right for us. We are questioning more, with the realisation that we have a choice when it comes to caring for ourselves, not just our physical health but also our mental well-being and the quality of our nutrition. What we eat and how we eliminate toxins aiming for longevity are discussions happening all over the world. We are ready to follow and share at the tap of a button our thoughts and feelings about trending social media influencers who align with our individual values, and this is adding to our vast knowledge of what is available to us for optimal health. It can feel a little overwhelming, but its good to be curious and open.

HOLISTIC REFLEXOLOGY

As we become more consumer led, these platforms have become a source of information for all manner of practices. We can on demand, listen to TEDx, Podcasters, Influencers all talking about different ways to heal, there is a wealth of information on improving your overall health. This is where my belief of taking a more wholesome approach lies, and Holistic Reflexology is where my passion is.

MY JOURNEY INTO HOLISTIC WELLNESS

Just before the pandemic, I trained as a Holistic Reflexologist at The London School of Reflexology. I was planning on making this my side hustle and my retirement hobby! Some people plan cruises and playing golf for their retirement. I’m a complete workaholic and so I planned on being a semiretired Reflexologist. The holistic side needs a little explanation, and covers areas such as nutrition, mindfulness, breathing, meditation, visualisationall techniques to help relax the body, with a clear focus on a deeply powerful restorative therapy calming the nervous system, and promoting overall wellbeing. Certainly, enough to keep my own mental health active and busy. I’ve not always been a Reflexologist, I started my career in the corporate world.

I was fully immersed working for FTSE 100 companies, leading global teams and climbing the ladder of success. However, as the years passed, I felt a desire to support people more mindfully and I felt a strange kind of pull away from structured offices. I started to read about energy and meridian lines and blockages, about nutrition and toxins and overall health. I could see how stress affected health and I became curious. I knew that the route to optimum health wasn’t one dimensional.

This realization became even clearer when one of my closest friends was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer. At just 40 years old, she was in excruciating pain, and we were faced with the painful truth that we were fighting a losing battle.

In the midst of our struggle, in between her chemotherapy and the array of drugs, we experienced the toll on everyone’s emotional wellbeing. Our focus was to keep our spirits high and keep positive, otherwise we were crumbling, and that to us meant failure. This journey I’m sure sadly many of us recognise. The range of emotions and anguish, the highs and lows, we go through in order to provide support for each other during such a time, whilst still processing our own thoughts, cannot be underestimated.

We turned to meditation, organic nutrition, prayers, searched for solutions anywhere in the world, and alternative therapies - desperately seeking ways to support and elongate her life so she could live just a few more years with her young children and husband. We scrutinised food labels, eliminated processed foods and household toxins, and focused on nourishment. Reflexology came up time and time again, as a way of supporting her and her carer’s emotional and mental health.

I began diving deeper into holistic healing, mindfulness and neuroscience, listening to voices like Gabor Maté, Wim Hoff, Marisa Peer, Mel Robbins, and Deepak Chopra. I read ‘Rewire Your Anxious Brain’ by Pittman and Karle, fascinated by how our thoughts shape our brain, our habits and ultimately, our health. Through this journey, I became increasingly aware of how opening my mind to different ways of nourishing our bodies, mentally and physically actually cultivates good habits towards healthy decisions. I soon began to manifest a new life. My belief ‘life is full of infinite possibilities’ is a phrase I used often, now I used it for myself. I have landed exactly where I am meant to be - helping others find balance, healing and connection.

LOUISE SCOTLAND STYLES

5 TIMELESS TRENDS

Spring is the perfect season to refresh your wardrobe with timeless pieces that offer both style and versatility. Here are five enduring Spring trends to consider incorporating into your capsule collection. Easy, breezy Spring fashion is upon us….

TRENCH COATS

A classic trench coat is indispensable for navigating spring's unpredictable weather. Kendall Jenner recently showcased a modern twist on this staple in Paris, wearing a beige trench featuring a high neck with an extra belt detail and voluminous sleeves. This contemporary design adds a fresh dimension to the traditional silhouette.

HI MY NAME IS LOUISE AND I HAVE BEEN WORKING IN THE FASHION AND BEAUTY INDUSTRY FOR THE PAST 10 YEARS; INCLUDING HAIR, MAKE-UP AND STYLING FOR TELEVISION, EDITORIAL, FASHION WEEKS, CELEBRITIES, AND MANY A FASHION SHOOT OVER THE YEARS. I AM ALSO A CONTENT CREATOR, PUTTING TOGETHER MANY DIFFERENT OUTFITS WEEKLY, WHICH I LOOK FORWARD TO SHARING WITH YOU ALL. I NOW MOSTLY FIND MYSELF BURIED ALIVE AT HOME IN CLOTHES, SKINCARE AND MAKE-UP… EVERY WOMAN’S DREAM.

TRENDS TO TRY THIS SEASON

STRIPED SHIRTS

Striped shirts are versatile essentials suitable for various occasions. Opt for combinations like light blue and white to stay aligned with current trends. These shirts can be layered over turtlenecks, tucked into tailored trousers, or worn open over tank tops thereby offering endless styling possibilities.

SLIP SKIRTS

Slip skirts provide effortless elegance and adaptability. Pair them with lightweight knitwear and ballet flats for daytime sophistication, or elevate the look with a blazer and strappy heels for evening events. Their fluid silhouette makes them a go-to piece for various settings.

LIGHTWEIGHT KNITWEAR

As temperatures fluctuate, lightweight knitwear becomes essential. Waisted cardigans, in particular, offer a chic layering option that complements both casual and more polished ensembles. They provide warmth without the bulk, making them ideal for Spring's transitional weather.

CO-ORD SETS

Coordinated sets, or co-ords, simplify the process of achieving a polished look. This season, contemporary tailored sets are available that suit both professional and social settings. Investing in durable waistcoats and pairing them with complementary pieces can create a cohesive and stylish outfit.

By integrating these timeless trends into your wardrobe, you'll be well-prepared for the busy Spring season ahead with pieces that offer both longevity and style.

Thanks for reading.
Lots of love, Louise x

SERENITY HAIR AND SPA

WHEN WE SET OUT TO CREATE OUR EXPERIENCE SALON IN SURREY, MY PARTNER AND I HAD ONE CLEAR GOAL IN MIND, TO PRIORITISE HOW OUR CLIENTS FEEL, NOT JUST DURING THEIR TREATMENTS, BUT LONG AFTER THEY LEAVE THE SALON. IN TODAY’S FAST-PACED WORLD, WE KNOW PEOPLE ARE BUSIER THAN EVER, WITH PRECIOUS LITTLE TIME FOR THEMSELVES. WE WANTED TO BUILD A SPACE WHERE EVERY VISIT BECOMES AN OPPORTUNITY TO UNWIND, RESET, AND TRULY FOCUS ON SELF-CARE. FOR US, IT’S ABOUT MORE THAN JUST THE COSMETIC SIDE OF BEAUTY, IT’S ABOUT NOURISHING THE MIND AND BODY. THE WAY WE SEE IT, LOOKING AFTER YOURSELF IS ESSENTIAL, AND WE’RE HERE TO HELP OUR CLIENTS TAKE THAT TIME, GUILT-FREE. FROM THE MOMENT THEY STEP INTO OUR SALON, WE WANT THEM TO FEEL THAT THEIR WELL-BEING IS OUR TOP PRIORITY. LAUNCHING OUR HAIR HEALTH AND WELL-BEING RANGE HAS BEEN A NATURAL EXTENSION OF THIS PHILOSOPHY. IT’S ALLOWED US TO SEAMLESSLY BLEND COSMETIC CARE WITH SELF-CARE, OFFERING TREATMENTS THAT DON’T JUST ENHANCE APPEARANCE BUT ALSO SUPPORT OVERALL WELLNESS. WE BELIEVE IN CREATING A HOLISTIC EXPERIENCE, ONE THAT REFLECTS THE IMPORTANCE OF TAKING CARE OF OURSELVES AND EACH OTHER IN THIS BUSY WORLD. OUR SALON IS MORE THAN A PLACE FOR HAIR, IT’S A SANCTUARY FOR WELL-BEING. AND THAT’S THE EXPERIENCE WE ARE PROUD TO OFFER.

SPRING 2025

As we step into Spring, the world of hair is embracing effortless elegance, soft movement and tailored colour that enhances natural beauty. The key trends this season focus on healthy, touchable hair with a polished but low-maintenance feel, something we're passionate about at Serenity Hair & Spa. Whether you're looking for a fresh cut, a seasonal colour refresh, or a style that fits seamlessly into your lifestyle, here's what's trending in UK salons.

SUN-KISSED, DIMENSIONAL COLOUR

Spring is all about warmth and light, and hair colour is reflecting just that. Overly cool, ashy tones are fading out, making way for richer, more dimensional hues. Think buttery blondes, golden caramels, and deep, espresso brunettes; all colours that add warmth and depth while remaining natural.

Celebrities like Hailey Bieber and Margot Robbie are leading the way with soft, honey-toned highlights, giving a grown-out, seamless effect that looks as if the sun has naturally lifted their hair. Balayage and lived-in highlights continue to be popular, but the focus this Spring is on ultra-blended placement, so regrowth is softer and easier to maintain.

2025 HAIR TRENDS

THE REVIVAL OF THE BOB

Shorter styles are having a major moment, with the bob taking centre stage. This year's bob is sleek but soft, sitting at jaw or collarbone length with natural movement. Zendaya's sharp, Parisian-style bob at the Oscars has sparked a wave of requests for polished but wearable short styles.

For those who prefer a little more softness, the "boyfriend bob" is trending, this is an undone, tousled texture with a slightly longer length that just skims the shoulders. It's a great option for those transitioning from longer hair but still wanting versatility in their style.

GLOSSY, HEALTHY-LOOKING HAIR

Shiny, nourished hair is a huge trend, and this Spring’s biggest statement isn't just about colour or cut, it's about hair health. With the rise of glass-like shine, many clients are moving away from over-processed styles and opting for treatments that restore strength and hydration. Hydrating glosses, bond-repairing treatments and scalp health rituals are at the forefront of salon treatments. We're seeing a surge in demand for oilbased treatments that enhance both the scalp and hair, leaving hair resilient and naturally glossy. Serenity Hair health & well-being oils are perfect for maintaining salon results at home, keeping hair silky and nourished between appointments.

THE RETURN OF THE 90’S BOUNCY BLOW DRY

If there's one nostalgic trend making a full comeback, it's the voluminous 90s-inspired blow-dry. Think supermodel hair, bouncy, full, and ultra-glam! This Spring, we're moving away from super-straight, flat-ironed looks and embracing movement and body.

Gigi Hadid and Sofia Richie have been seen wearing big, brushed-out waves that scream effortless glamour. To achieve this, a mix of a good blow-dry, a round brush, and rollers creates soft volume that lasts for days.

The thing to remember above all, is personalisation. No matter the latest styles, hair should always be customised to suit each individual, their features, skin tone and lifestyle. Whether it's a fresh colour, a flattering cut, or a voluminous 90s-inspired blow-dry, the key to feeling on-trend is making sure it works for them, because the best hair is the hair that feels truly their own.

INTERIOR DESIGN THAN CHOOSING

It has been a while since SP Interiors has shared our design knowledge at Surrey Rocks, mostly because we have been incredibly busy on some amazing projects, and we are so excited to share these with you over the coming months. But Spring is on its way, and a season of renewal is upon us. It is of course the time for renovations and so a perfect time for us to inject some interior expertise into Surrey Rock’s April edition.

I absolutely love my job, I’m obsessed with buildings & spatial planning & exciting finishes, but I do sometimes get frustrated that our job is undervalued. I find more and more that lots of people don’t really understand what we do. Common responses to “I’m an interior designer” are “it must be so fun choosing lovely furniture”, “my sister is really great with colours”, “what a fun job”! So, to bring some light to what we actually do, we’ve answered some common questions about our work.

DESIGN IS SO MUCH MORE CHOOSING PRETTY FURNITURE!

WHAT DOES YOUR INTERIOR DESIGN FIRM DO?

Our job is packed with creativity and trusting relationships, but surprising the majority of our time we have our nose in spreadsheets, or we are covered in dust on a building site!

We work in both the commercial & residential sector, and we specialise in renovations & construction projects. We take projects from tiny seedlings all the way through to the grand reveals and we are responsible for everything inside the home or space.

Everything you see when you walk inside a building is us! The space planning, the lighting, the electrics, the kitchens, bathrooms, flooring, air conditioning, wine cellars, staircases, dressing rooms & the list goes on and on.

On our large projects we typically work with clients for up to two years and the relationships we build our incredibly important.

WHAT’S THE BIGGEST MISCONCEPTION YOU HEAR ABOUT YOUR JOB?

That an interior designer our role is to choose furniture, paint & fabric. Of course we do this, but it’s actually a small part of the whole process. The success of the selections and finishings is all down to the planning, design & drawing packages we create before this.

WHY SHOULD YOU EMPLOY AN INTERIOR DESIGNER?

As designers, we’re involved in every detail of a space – from how it functions to how it looks. This includes everything from spatial planning and lighting design to designing kitchens and bathrooms. We’re also on-site, collaborating with contractors and managing every element of the build. There are hundreds of moving parts and we juggle them all!

The renovation of your home or business is a huge investment and you have one opportunity to get it right. Sometimes it really shocks me that someone will spend hundreds of thousands or millions on purchasing a home, for them to wing it and DIY the renovation. It’s an emotional & financial investment and this

HOME & INTERIORS

buildings potential should be maximised.

The secret to the success of your project all hangs on the inside of the building and you don’t want to make costly mistakes. If the spatial planning is wrong from the start, then this has a knock-on effect on the lighting, electrical design, kitchen layouts, furniture choices & the overall finish.

If a project isn’t thoroughly planned from the start your budget will escalate. SP interiors create detailed scopes of works for contractors, drawing packages with every detail included & full selections & costs are established before a spade even hits the ground.

Do you want to feel stressed and overwhelmed for the next year or two of your life? Because whether you like it or not if you choose to run a project it will hugely impact you and your time.

When clients work with SP Interiors, they enjoy the organisation of our tenstep process and look forward to our scheduled design meetings. We firmly believe that renovations should be an enjoyable, rewarding journey. It’s an opportunity to breathe new life into a space, creating an environment that sparks joy, enhances functionality, and reflects the unique essence of those who live or work there.

WHAT ARE THE BIGGEST ADVANTAGES OF WORKING WITH SP INTERIORS?

Obviously there are so many, as we are amazing and modest too! Firstly we are passionate about creating innovative designs, we want each client to experience a one of a kind design for their home or business that really represents & speaks to them.

We are not trend lead and we really have no interest in recreating something you’ve seen at your friends, aunties, neighbours house.

We love our ten step process because it brings clarity, organisation & efficiency & our clients and contractors love it too.

We hugely believe in the power of

collaboration, which is probably why we our part of what our current client refers to as the “Dream team” (contractor, interior designer, architect & garden designer) and we continue to be referred to new clients as the perfect package.

We know what works and what doesn’t both practically & aesthetically and we hand hold our clients through the hundreds of decisions along this journey.

WHEN SHOULD A CLIENT START WORKING WITH SP INTERIORS?

Right at the start, you’ve decided you want to do a project then begin with the architect & interior designer at the same time.

If we can collaborate with the architect during the planning stages, we can influence the design of the layout early on. This can lead to changes in room placement, window and door positioning, and even the movement of walls. If we’re brought in later, we do our best to adapt the design to the existing plans, but getting involved from the start is always the best approach.

Our beginning stages focus on creating a design & plan that is completely bespoke to you. We spend hours understanding everything about our clients, how they live, use spaces, entertain etc and this leads to the spatial planning & conceptual design being uniquely tailored to their needs.

OK WE KNOW YOUR LOVE YOUR JOB, BUT THERE MUST BE ONE AREA THAT YOU DON’T ENJOY?

Oh yes, managing deficiencies! We oversee everything from countertops to light bulbs, and tracking down missing parts or dealing with damaged goods can be time-consuming. As a high percentage of items arrive with missing parts or damaged, it’s all about the detail –photographing, returning, and following up on items until everything is right! It’s super fun, but someone has to do it and if it’s not us then it will be you!

WHAT IS YOUR NUMBER ONE TIP TO ANYONE CONSIDERING A RENOVATION?

Invest in the team! It’s simple, when the team is great, the project is

great. The best projects are always the result of strong collaboration between the architect, contractor, interior designer and garden designer. Everyone should be passionate about the project and committed to communication and problem-solving. All projects run into obstacles but we work tirelessly with the rest of the team to find solutions and to keep everything on track.

Our dream team communicate every day. It is a game changer not just for us but for our clients. One of our clients commented that we didn’t know about any obstacles until the team had found solutions and it made our experience so easy and enjoyable.

We understand that projects are expensive, but having the right team protects your investment!

The Art of Living Danishly

from BoConcept and Helena Christensen

This spring BoConcept celebrates the art of living Danishly with globally renowned supermodel, photographer, and UN Ambassador Helena Christensen.

What does it mean to live well? Danish design has long sought to answer this question, balancing form and function with effortless elegance. But beyond furniture, Danish living is a philosophy—one that prioritises simplicity, balance, and beauty in everyday life.

Helena Christensen, BoConcept’s newly appointed Global Artistic Director, is at the helm of a new campaign exploring what it truly means to “Live Danish.” Through collaborations with fresh design talent, inspiring content, and personal insights, Helena lends her creative eye to a brand that shares her passion for design, culture, and the art of living well.

A Vision for Danish Design

“Danish design is all about balance—between aesthetics and function, tradition and innovation,” says Helena. “I’m excited to share what makes our approach so special.”

Building on past collaborations with design icons like BIG, Bjarke Ingels Group, BoConcept is now working with emerging voices in the industry. Helena will spotlight this talent through the ‘Helena Presents’ series, sitting down with designers to discuss their creative process. The first to be introduced is Charlotte Høncke, whose ‘Sweet Art’ capsule collection embodies the playfulness and sophistication of Danish design.

Conversations on Beauty

What makes a design beautiful? For Helena, beauty is everywhere—it’s in the sculptural form of a chair, the proportions of a table, or the soft, inviting texture of a fabric. “Celebrating beauty is important,” she says. “And BoConcept truly understands how to make everyday life more beautiful.”

Longtime BoConcept designer Morten Georgsen, who has crafted many of the brand’s most iconic pieces, believes beauty lies in thoughtful details. Whether it’s the scalloped edges of an accent chair or the seamless lines of a modular sofa, Danish design is as much about feeling as it is about function.

A Personal Approach to Home

Danish homes tell a story—one of individuality, creativity, and effortless comfort. “Decorating your home is like creating a piece of art,” says Helena. “It’s a reflection of who you are, your experiences, your passions.” With BoConcept’s Interior Design Service, customers can bring this philosophy to life, tailoring pieces to fit their space and style. From selecting fabrics to perfecting layouts, the service ensures every detail feels personal. “There’s something so special about crafting a space that feels truly yours,” Helena adds.

Living Danishly

From its mid-century roots to its modern interpretations, Danish design remains a beacon of simplicity and sophistication. BoConcept embodies these principles, creating pieces that are not just furniture but expressions of a way of life.

Through her partnership with BoConcept, Helena Christensen is set to explore and share this philosophy with the world—one beautifully designed space at a time.
