everyone’s talking about...

BRITAIN'S BEVERLY HILLS 'Britain's Got Talent' judge Amanda Holden has just bought a new palatial pad in the much sought after area of Cobham in Surrey, dubbed 'Britain's Beverly Hills.' The TV star is said to be "over the moon" with her new Surrey home, setting her back a reported, whopping £7 million, after selling her South-West London home for £5 million. She was mulling a move to the US, like fellow judge Simon Cowell, but changed her mind after hearing about Cobham, which is home to footballers, music and movie stars. Amanda moved in just before Christmas and posted a series of pics on her Instagram showcasing her beautiful, new home. An insider said of the Cobham move, "Only the most wealthy and ambitious people tend to be able to live there and she'll certainly be in good company with bankers, footballers and rock stars. Amanda is used to life in the city and a move to Surrey means she'll be able to live more of a semi-rural existence without giving up the convenient commute into the capital where most of her work takes her." Welcome to Surrey Amanda, we're sure you'll be very happy here!

MUSIC STARS DESCEND ON SURREY We are spoilt for choice with top musical talent coming to Surrey this year, including East 17 and Kiki Dee hosting shows at Esher Theatre on February 14th and April 13th respectively. Paloma Faith, Sheryl Crow, Sam Ryder, Deacon Blue and Nile Rodgers & Chic are heading to Hampton Court Palace Festival as part of the palace's two-week line-up from June 11th to 22nd. Then we have 'Spice Girls' Melanie C, Gabrielle, McFly and Scouting For Girls headlining 'Pub in the Park Reigate' from July 12th to 14th. Elsewhere, DJ Pete Tong's Ibiza Classics will perform at the Jockey Club Live's Sandown Park Show on June 21st and Madness is headlining there on July 31st. IGGY AZALEA SHOCKS FANS Grammy-nominated singer Iggy Azalea has taken the shock move into the world of adult entertainment. Having already signed up to Only Fans, Iggy has just announced she is set to perform at the 2024 AVN Awards, the X-rated awards ceremony. The move has divided her fans with some calling the move "desperate" and calling on the 33-year-old star to get back in the studio to record new music. Iggy had a string of hits after breaking into the music scene in 2014 with number ones 'Fancy' and 'Black Widow' with Charli XCX and Brit star Rita Ora respectively. She has also received 4 Grammy nods, an MTV Music Award and 4 Billboard Awards. ISSUE 24 | MARBELLAROCKS

TRIPLE CARTER TRAGEDY Less than a year after teen singing sensation Aaron Carter passed away, tragedy has struck the Carter family again with his elder sister Bobbie Jean dying, aged 41, leaving behind an 8-year-old daughter. Bobbie Jean’s cause of death has not yet been officially released to the public but it is expected after two near overdoses and a history of run-ins with the police over possession that it is drug related, like her famous sibling. In November 2022 popstar and rapper Aaron Carter, 34, accidentally drowned in his bathtub after becoming incapacitated after inhaling difluoroethane and alprazolam, the generic form of Xanex. The Carter family also sadly lost Leslie Carter, another sibling to an overdose in 2012, when she was only 25. The family of five kids now only has former Backstreet Boys' member Nick, 43, and little sister Angel (who was Aaron's twin) and mum Jane, left. Bobbie Jean was very close with Aaron and worked as his stylist, although never really liked being in the spotlight herself apart from a brief stint on the family's reality TV show 'House of Carters' on E! She was reportedly "totally heartbroken" over Aaron's death last year. Bobbie Jean's mum Jane who is having to bury a third child, said, "I am in shock from learning of the sudden death of my daughter, and I will need time to process the terrible reality of this happening." She went on to say,"However deeply a parent feels the loss of a child, the suffering of a young child at the loss of a parent must be much greater. So, be sympathetic and say a prayer for my precious eight-year-old granddaughter Bella, who previously lost her father and is now also left without her mother." Any young readers out there who may be thinking about dabbling in drugs. Don't! As Richard Ashcroft from The Verve sung.... "The drugs don't work."

RECIPE BREAD-BAKED CHICKEN & GARDEN SALAD Looking for a light and healthy meal that is great for any family meal or dinner party, then look no further. Bake chicken legs in a bread crust to lock in the moisture and keep them really juicy, then add the crust to pumpkin, shallots and leaf salad for extra crunch. So delicious! INGREDIENTS • 1 small rye loaf (about 350g), halved lengthways • 120g butter, softened • 1 tbs chopped rosemary, plus 1 tbs whole rosemary leaves • 2 garlic cloves, crushed • 1.5kg chicken, cut into 4 pieces (or 4 large chicken thigh cutlets, skin on) • 4 anchovy fillets, finely chopped • 1/3 cup (80ml) extra virgin olive oil • 1/4 small (about 600g) pumpkin, cut into 8 thin wedges • 6 shallots, trimmed, halved lengthways • 1/2 radicchio, leaves torn • Parsley leaves, to serve • 1 1/2 tbs sherry vinegar

METHOD 1. Preheat oven to 200°C. Line 2 baking trays with baking paper and place bread cut-side up on one of the trays. 2. Combine butter, chopped rosemary, and garlic in a small bowl and season. Brush butter over cut sides of bread, then brush remaining butter all over chicken. Place chicken on bread and roast for 40 minutes or until chicken is cooked through. Transfer chicken to a large plate, cover loosely with foil and rest for 10 minutes. Reserve resting juices. 3. Place bread on a chopping board and chop into 5cm pieces. Return to tray, toss to soak up garlic butter and

roast for a further 10 minutes until crisp and golden. Set aside to cool. 4. Meanwhile, combine anchovies and 2 tbs olive oil in a small bowl and season with black pepper. Place pumpkin, shallots and rosemary leaves in second roasting tray, drizzle with anchovy oil and toss to coat. Roast for 40 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Set aside to cool slightly. 5. Combine chicken, crisp bread, pumpkin, shallots and radicchio on a platter and scatter with parsley. Combine vinegar, resting juices and remaining 2 tbs oil in a small bowl and season. Drizzle half over salad and serve the rest alongside.

WINE MATCH This is a perfect, light dish that would lend itself well to one of the top three best-selling white wines on the market. Namely a Chardonnay (but select one with made little or no oak contact) a Pinot Gris (a fruitier of all the French wines) or a classic Italian Pinot Grigio would also make a fantastic choice for this meal, with the pear and apple notes carrying the delicacy of the chicken and salad beautifully.

EASY EIGHTH - KAISER CHIEFS

ALL FOURS – MIRANDA JULY

It’s a very nonchalant return for the Kaiser Chiefs this March with the release of their 8th studio album entitled ‘Easy Eighth.’ After almost two decades in the game, armed with an extensive back-catalogue of belters including ‘I Predict a Riot’ and ‘Ruby’ Brit boys Kaiser Chiefs return with a fresh and bold new sound for 2024. The album’s ten tracks feature a range of moods and influences, from a Nile Rodgers co-written single, ‘Feeling Alright,’ to a horn-packed throwback number, ‘Job Centre Shuffle.’ The Leeds-based group are definitely back with an almighty bang with music pundits predicting this ahead of a UK tour will propel them back in the limelight! Ricky Wilson, lead vocalist and judge on BBC’s ‘The Voice’, said of the bands new album and latest collaboration with Rodgers, “On the first day with Nile Rodgers, he said “what have you got?” so we searched through some jams we had and this was a song that stood out to him. The band loved playing it round and round, and it must be fun to play but we never really knew where it would find a home. Nile turned out to be the best estate agent and found it a home almost immediately. He also brought in Amir, who turned out to be our housemate for the entire record. A good place to start!” No album is easy to create apparently – unless of course you are the Kaisers with ‘Easy Eighth’ due for release this March. We predict another riot on release date for the boys!

Everyone’s favourite offbeat writer Miranda July’s first novel in a decade is a piece of autobiographical fiction about midlife and female sexuality that is irreverently sexy, tender and hilarious. ‘All Fours’ centres around a famous artist who announces her plan to drive cross-country, from LA to New York. Thirty minutes after leaving her husband and child at home, she spontaneously exits the freeway, beds down in a nondescript motel, and immerses herself in a temporary reinvention that turns out to be the start of an entirely different journey. With July’s wry voice, perfect comic timing, unabashed curiosity about human intimacy and palpable delight in pushing boundaries, ‘All Fours’ tells the story of one woman’s quest for a new kind of freedom. Part absurd entertainment, part tender reinvention of the sexual, romantic, and domestic life of a 45-year-old female artist. This book transcends expectation while excavating our beliefs about life lived as a woman. July hijacks the familiar and turns it into something new and thrilling. “I wanted to write a romance. To try and capture that sort of druggedout, longing feeling when someone’s completely under your skin,” July said. “For the first half of your life, you feel like a young person, and then very suddenly, that flips. And instead of looking forward to some kind of open-ended apex, you’re in that place in the middle... I wanted to write about what that means sexually, in terms of intimacy. It’s a mapless, unknown, mysterious place.” Miranda July is the New York Times bestselling author of ‘The First Bad Man’ and ‘All Fours’ is due out in April this year.

It’s been a long time coming - 24 years to be exact - but finally this year, the epic historical drama ‘Gladiator’ is making its much anticipated comeback. The legendary Ridley Scott is back as director, David Franzoni will produce and actors Connie Nielsen, Derek Jacobi and Djimon Hounsou are reprising their original roles as Lucilla, Juba and Gracchus respectively. The plot centres around Lucius Verus, Lucilla’s son from the original film and nephew of Commodore, who has been living away from Rome in the wilderness for 15 years. The ruthless Praetorian Guards are now ruling and Lucius - played by ‘Normal People’ star and BAFTA winner Paul Mescal - comes out of hiding to find his mother and find out who his father is whilst inadvertently saving Rome from downfall. Noteably, Russell Crowe has been dropped from the original cast list as Maximus, although not surprisingly as he was killed back in the 2000 original film! There was talk back in 2006 of Crowe reprising the role with a fantasy element being brought back to life from none other than Nick Cave – but it was dropped by the studio. New big hitters in ‘Gladiator 2’ include two-time Oscar winner Denzel Washington who stars as a former slave turned wealthy arms dealer with a grudge against the emperors. ‘Narcos’ and ‘Game of Thrones’ star Chilean born Pedro Pascal is also in the sequel as is Brit actor and comedian Matt Lucas from ‘Little Britain’ fame. The script comes from the talented David Scarpa who was behind hit movies including ‘The Day The Earth Stood Still’ and ‘Napolean.’ ‘Gladiator 2’ will be hitting the big screen later this year with a scheduled November 22nd release date. This is definitely one of those blockbuster movies that will be epic to see on the big screen.

OVERSIZE THIS! Major Trend Alert! There is a common misconception that baggy clothing hinders the natural features of the body in contrast to fitted clothing. S/S24 proved that if worn correctly, oversized clothing can actually accentuate and enhance our features. Dries Van Noten showcased unfitted trench coats, high waisted trousers with intricate pleating at the ankles and baggy jumpers, haphazardly tucked in. A collection that focuses so much on the notions that details aren’t important whilst at the same time paying so much attention to detail it hurts. Additionally, Vetements took it to the streets in oversized bomber jackets and exaggerated high-visibility bodysuits. It seems as if Vetements was attempting to recreate an over the top caricature of our daily lives, from lollipop ladies to traffic cones whilst also paying a strict heritage to the early 2000’s skater body.

FEATURES Y IT L A IC R T E M ASYM Y TECHNICALIT The anatomy of clothing plays an extremely important part in the construction of a garment. But what happens if we take it all apart? Bianca Saunders showcased a ripped apart collection via the use of draping to undo constructional symmetry. However, what really hit home was the blatant use of tape slapped over the draping almost acting as a shield to cover up the obvious imperfections of this collection. On the contrary, Charles Jeffery Loverboy took a more playful twist to asymmetricality in playful cottoms with silly patterns, effectively transforming an array of his models into something that resembled a plastic tablecloth. However fun the collection was, Charles hinted at subtle notions of royalty and regality, transforming a generally progressive collection into a historic delight.

AT TENTION SOLDIER! 2023 has seen an online boom of men wearing variations of military-wear, especially on platforms such as TikTok. Why then, it is no surprise that Prada has capitalised on this by showcasing modern takes on the utility jacket in 2024. Using beautiful shades of sky blues and deep reds, paired with cotton collared shirts, with a 70s’ flare at the wrists. Miuccia Prada even went so far as to using removable pockets which could be reattached on different parts of the body, offering the convenience to these modernised utility jackets.

7 NATURAL WONDERS OF SURREY

There are so many beautiful sights to see in Surrey, choosing just the top seven was hard pushed. Steeped in history, Surrey first earned its name meaning ‘Suthrige’ or ‘Southern Kingdom’ in the 5th Century by the Saxons. The names of the Saxon tribes still live on in modern place names such as Woking and Godalming. Surrey was largely protected from attacks by the Vikings due to its position inland, however the invaders were defeated by the army of Edward the Elder in 892. (No, we haven’t left off a digit.) Surrey was always considered a strategic point to London and was sought after by many invaders. It has always possessed a beautiful charm and natural heritage. You may not agree but after a reader survey we discovered these 7 places in Surrey to come under the ‘7 Natural Wonders of Surrey.’ Have you seen these stunning, scenery hotspots from Box Hill’s Viewpoint to the legend of Thor at Devil’s Punch Bowl and Mayfield Lavender Farm? If not get them crossed off your list now.

1. TILLINGBOURNE WATERFALLS This hidden gem is tucked away on the Wotton Estate on the north slopes of Leith Hill. While you can’t actually jump in the water as it is located on private land there is a public bridleway nearby that brings you within metres of the waterfall allowing you to soak up the sights and take photographs. Not the easiest to find and you will have to take a short walk to get there, which has been known to get quite waterlogged. So to avoid a really muddy walk the best time to go is when we have not been hit by too much rain. If you remember the Timotei shampoo adverts of the 80’s then this stunning waterfall will truly excite. Instagram @danielhanningtonphotography

2. WINKWORTH ARBORETUM Winkworth Arboretum is a National Trust owned arboretum which has over 1000 species of trees and plants leading down to beautiful landscaped gardens and lakes. Located between Godalming and Hascombe, it was set up by Dr Wilfrid Fox in 1938. The National Trust took ownership in 1952. There are play areas for the kids and tea rooms to enjoy meals and snacks. Booking is via their website so be sure to book before you arrive. A great time to visit the arboretum is April and May when there is a gorgeous bluebell walk on offer. Winkworth is dog friendly too.

Instagram @charly_dove

4. DEVIL’S PUNCH BOWL As featured on the TV programme ‘Seven Natural Wonders’ the Punch Bowl is a large natural amphitheatre situated just east to the village of Hindhead. The diversity of nature and beauty of the area has earned it the title of a ‘Site of Scientific Interest’ with the bowl seen as a natural nature reserve encompassing heathland, streams, bracken and woodland. The highest point of the bowl is Gibbet Hill, which is 272 metres above sea level where you can see panoramic views of London’s skyline 38 miles away on a clear day. Local legend has it that the 697 acre site was named ‘Devil’s Punch Bowl’ after the devil threw lumps of earth at Thor, the god of Thunder, to annoy him which then made the hollowed out bowl. A great one for the kids that are into the Marvel Films. Instagram @zehrazem

3. VIRGINIA WATER LAKE Enjoy a beautiful walk around the Virginia Water Lake, located on the edge of Windsor Great Park just off London Road and the A30. The walk which is approximately 2-3 hours has various routes that can take you to such sights as a cascade, a 100 foot high totem pole and obelisk raised by George II and part of a ruined city imported from North Africa. With parking from £1.50 per hour, there is also a cafe selling hot food and beverages on site. The largest lake in Surrey is also the most beautiful, get stunning scenery shots here with the family.

FEATURES 5. MAYFIELD LAVENDER FARM The purple haze that hovers over Mayfield lavender Farm in Banstead is truly unbelievable. It is a definite must visit place in Surrey. Plus, the story behind the farm is truly inspirational. The brainchild of former Wella Managing Director Brendan Maye to promote failing lavender sales at sister brand Yardley, the farm was eventually bought (after years of rejection from Wella’s head honchos and perseverance by Maye) by charity Bio Regional and Wella with Brendan Maye as a financial guarantor in 2002. Fast forward 22 years and the farm is still going strong – providing lavender to a host of national and international brands. It is a natural tourist site and open to the public. Entry is only £4 for adults and free for kids. Plus, there is onsite free parking.

6. WAVERLEY ABBEY

Shutterstock SJMPhotos

Waverley Abbey was the very first monastery founded in Britain by the reforming Cistercian religious order. A small group of monks from France settled in this quiet spot by the River Wey in 1128 near Farnham. Waverley and the area of natural beauty soon became the springboard for Cistercian settlement in southern England. The impressive remains include the fine 13th century vaulted refectory or dining hall for the lay brothers, the Cistercians' labour force. In more recent times, the Abbey and beautiful surrounding fields have been used as a backdrop to the films ‘Elizabeth’ (1998) and Disney's ‘Into the Woods’ (2014).

7. BOX HILL & STEPPING STONES Box Hill is the summit of the North Downs in Dorking and is 224 metres high at the Betchworth Clump. The western part of the hill is owned by the National Trust and the most popular viewpoint Salomon’s Memorial overlooks the town of Dorking at 172 metres. It’s a great place to visit with kids as there are detailed adventure walks to do as well as having cafes, restaurants and ice cream vans for visitors to enjoy on their trip. There is also 38 species of butterfly and both the north and south facing slopes support an area of chalk downland noted for its orchid and other rare plant life. There are great picture opportunities here too for budding photographers, as well as the beautiful summit views there is an upside down grave and World War 2 bunkers and lookouts. Plus, at the foot of the hill there is another National Trust car park that leads to the famous ‘Stepping Stone’ formation of rocks across the river pictured here.

JONATHAN ROWL

At Jonathan Rowlandson Design we have provided a unique design and build service for a range of clients for over 20 years. With an emphasis on innovative, contemporary design solutions we have risen to the challenge of every project, interior or exterior. Combining our unique approach to metal items with wood, glass, stone, and other materials. At JRD we offer a range of furniture items including the Otolo range. We also design and produce items sympathetic to their environment, be it a rustic bar restaurant with an artisan feel – normally providing seating, counters, bars, lighting, signage, etc. such as Dog Star Brixton – or one-off sculptural items such as the tables for Vivienne Westwood. Our inspiration will often come from the clients’ desires, as well as tapping into nature and art to find a suitable solution. Hardly any 2 projects are the same, we continue to provide new and hopefully better designs.

RESTAURANT REVIEW

POUNDING HEART P

ounding Heart in Esher celebrates the flavours of Asian cuisine in a warm, welcoming, vibrant and fun environment. From our recent review we would give them a ten out of ten… easily. The food, drink, service, ambience and décor at Pounding Heart really blew us away. We were already excited to visit the restaurant as it had just received a nod at the Surrey Awards in the ‘Best Pan-Asian Restaurant’ category. “This was an understatement! This was by far the best pan-Asian cuisine we’d had in the whole of the UK and even during one of our testers’ recent trips to Asia (that‘s saying something!)

84 SURREYROCKS | ISSUE 29

CHINESE CUISINE The menu is wide and varied and has something for everyone from classics such as Aromatic Crispy Duck with Pancakes, Chicken Chow Mein and Sesame Prawn Toast. On the recommendation of Pounding Heart’s charismatic owner Ajay, we opted for several of the sharing dishes on the Chinese section of the menu to start. We had ‘Salt & Pepper King Prawns’ which were to die for. The king prawns were huge and cooked perfectly with a dusting of salt and pepper.

RESTAURANT REVIEW

The ‘Shredded Chicken Style’ was bursting with flavour and contained lashings of onions, spring onions, peppers and chilli. A healthy and light dish. The ‘Vegetable Spring Rolls’ were delicious too. You could tell all the produce was fresh and made that day – and the veg cooked perfectly al dente with a crispy coating. The Sweet

Chilli dipping sauce made for the perfect accompaniment. The Satay Chicken was another firm favourite with our testers. It was presented beautifully with large, succulent chicken breast chunks mounted on 4 skewers and drizzled in the most delicious sweet, peanut sauce. This was also served with a side salad and extra satay for dipping. We also went for the ‘Japanese style Gyoza’s’ which were juicy and mouth-wateringly good. You can get dumplings/ gyozas at Pounding Heart, filled with either Chicken, Pork or Vegetable and they come with cabbage, Chinese chives, ginger, and garlic – a perfect taste explosion.

INDIAN CUISINE There was again lots of choice on the Indian section of the menu including India’s famous Chaat (street food) which dates back to the reign of Emperor Shah Jahan, with its aromatic spices and tangy sauces; Chaat brings together the diverse flavours of India and is great for sharing.

RESTAURANT REVIEW

We opted for the ‘Authentic Chicken Tikka’ which was served on a sizzling hot plate and contained boneless chicken breast pieces, marinated in spiced yogurt. The chicken was deliciously spiced, tender and cooked to perfection. All our tasters agreed this was a standout dish on the menu. We also went for ‘Butter Chicken’, a house specialtychicken tikka in a rich tomato butter sauce with a hint of fenugreek - giving it a slight spicy kick but not too overbearing for those that prefer milder curries. These were served with freshly cooked naan bread, boiled rice and Gunpowder Potatoes. Unfortunately, after all this we were getting rather full after these 7 plentiful dishes but we were so tempted by the look of the ‘Rajasthani Lamb Chops’ and ‘Lucknowi Lamb Biriyani’ that we have booked in to come and try some more of the award-winning and diverse menu next month!

TO DRINK Pounding Heart is known for its delicious and wideranging cocktail menu with classics such as Negronis, Daiquiris and Cosmopolitans as well as interesting in-house mixology creations such as the Spiced Porn Star Martini (with Jalapeno syrup), Rhubarb & Strawberry Gin Collins Fizz and Bubba Spritz which contains Absolut Vodka, Bubble Gum Syrup and Lime Juice topped with Prosecco – so deliciously light and refreshing. All the cocktails at Pounding Heart are reasonably priced around the £10.50 mark. Although if you fancy coming in for a pre-dinner drink the venue runs

RESTAURANT REVIEW

TO DANCE happy hour from 5pm-7pm at the weekend where you can get 2 cocktails for £12. And from midweek nights Tuesday to Thursdays this is extended from 5pm- 9pm. The wine and champagne list is extensive at Pounding Heart too, with 15 offerings including 7 Fires Malbec, Blass Chardonnay, Whispering Angel and Laurent Perrier Rose among the other top sommelier picks.

As well as serving the best food and drinks, Pounding Heart plays host to the best in Surrey DJ’s on Friday and Saturday nights for those that like to dance off their dinner! Friday nights sees purveyors of house music such as DJ Paul Linney and DJ Fifi Forte come together to present ‘So Deep’ while Saturday nights sees the best in local R&B DJ’s fire up the dance floor. Pounding Heart also offer Bottomless Brunches and themed parties. Stay tuned to Surrey Rocks calendar pages for more details on their upcoming events.

IN SUMMARY Pounding Heart surpassed our tasters’ expectations and we will definitely be back soon for more top notch pan-Asian cuisine. As well as their superb gastronomy offering; Pounding Heart is a fun, lively venue and a great place to meet and mingle with a fun and welcoming crowd. As their slogan goes “Arrive as guests and leave as friends.” We couldn’t agree more.

NEW YEAR, NEW Happy 2024 darlings... I’m fit to burst with excitement for what this year has to bring and if you are single or looking to regain the spark in your relationship I have you covered. I have a month by month run down, checklist if you will, a plan, that will help you have the best year yet.

NADIA ESSEX LOVE & DATING NADIA IS BEST KNOWN FOR HER WORK ON POPULAR E4 TV SHOW ‘CELEBS GO DATING’ AND HAS WORKED AS A LOVE COACH FOR MORE THAN A DECADE NOW. THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF MARRIAGES, RELATIONSHIPS AND BABIES ALL EXISTING BECAUSE OF NADIA’S TIPS AND ADVICE! NADIA BELIEVES EVERYONE DESERVES TO FIND TRUE LOVE. SHE BELIEVES YOU CAN BRING THE SPARK BACK AND CAN ‘FALL BACK IN LOVE’ WITH YOUR PARTNER IF THINGS HAVE TURNED SOUR. SHE KNOWS YOU CAN BE HAPPY. WHETHER YOU ARE DATING OR IN A RELATIONSHIP MY LOVE COACHING CAN HELP. I’M CURRENTLY OFFERING SURREY ROCKS READERS 20% OFF MY 50 MINUTE ONLINE COACHING SESSION USUALLY PRICED £150. USE CODE SR20 WHEN BOOKING.

IT’S ALL ABOUT YOU (January - March) This is time for reflecting, goal setting, creating small everyday habits that will compound throughout the year. Delete all dating apps - you don’t need them you need to work on yourself. Have a proper break. Delete delete delete. Commit to working out 3 times a week. Commit to drinking at least 1-2 litres of water a day. Commit to having only 1 takeaway a week. Commit to journaling / meditating at least once a week. Write down your list of 5 non-negotiables that are deal breakers for someone you date. If you’re in a relationship - write down your 5 relationship goals you want you and your partner to hit this year. These small changes are reasonable to stick to long-term and if you are disciplined, by this time next year you will be so proud, happy and healthy in all aspects of your life.

W YOU, NEW RELATIONSHIP?

SPRING IS SPRINGING (April - June) Life is back, the flowers are starting to bloom and the light is back in life. By now you will be feeling fabulous and confident on the inside and may be noticing some positive changes on the outside if you have committed to the last 3 months of the self-improvement work listed above. These months are about dipping your toe back into dating, so you need to get ready on the outside. Or getting ready to seduce your partner all over again and bring that spark back. Go and buy a new date night outfit, I promise it will work wonders for your self-confidence and you need an excuse to wear it out, right? Spring clean your house (or invest in paying someone to come do it.) Energy in houses can get stale and a good deep clean will set you up for an amazing year ahead. If you are doing it alone tackle a room a day / week / weekend. Move the furniture, get in the nooks and crannies. You will feel AMAZING when you have finished (even if the kids mess it up 5 minutes later!) Plus, get a professional car detail. I bought my dream car last year and got introduced to car detailing through D83 Detailing who cover the whole of Surrey. They spent a good 5 hours on my car and it was showroom quality, actually in better shape than when the car company delivered it. There is something about driving a sparkling, clean car that gives you a real boost. Ok, now is the time to get back on the apps, with fresh eyes and a new confidence you may have a whole new experience. Get out there, start booking nights out with your single friends and if you are in a relationship - start booking in regular date nights into the diary. No phones, no kid talk, just chat like the good old golden days.

SUMMER LOVING (July - September) Yay, summer is here. Nights are lighter, mornings are warmer and brighter and things are feeling great. You will be looking and feeling the best you have in years if you are being consistent with your commitments. Now we double down on dating. Spend as much time as possible out of the house. Call in the village to help with the kids, find a local babysitter, whatever it takes so you can free up some time to go on your app dates but also go out and meet people in real life. If the apps aren’t working go back to old school and go meet people out in bars, restaurants and activities. If you are in a relationship book a holiday. Even if it’s for next year, having something to look forward to and get excited about is an easy way to keep the spark alive. CUFFING SEASON (October – December) By now you are looking great, feeling fabulous and hopefully snagged a partner or brought the spark back in your relationship. Now is the time to reap the rewards. Cuddles, fires, roast dinners, cosy pubs. Movie nights are firmly back in. And hopefully some time for reflection. You have so much to be proud of, you have come so far in just a few months with just a few changes - and yet your life is completely different. Remember small daily habits lead to the biggest change. Ready for the best 2024 can be? Wishing you all the best darlings, Nadia x

tepping into the new year, it's time to explore the exciting world of men's grooming and hairstyle trends that are set to make the streets of 2024. We will be talking about DNA education, and the new courses they will be running in Surrey and all over the UK. We will debunk some common barbering myths that might have you questioning your grooming routine. Plus, check out our Barber Spotlights, where we shine a light on the talented individuals shaping the barbering scene. Get ready to be inspired and informed as we unravel 2024's hottest hair trends and celebrate the artistry and skill within our vibrant barbering community. Here's an exclusive guide to the top haircuts that I think are set to dominate the scene this year, remember that trends reoccur and some haircuts are timeless so you may find yourself recognising some of these styles.

MESSY ROCK N ROLL Embrace your inner rockstar with the messy rock 'n' roll style. People were growing their hair out in 2023 into various kinds of mullets and longer cuts but now still keeping up with those 90’s hair trends people will be taking the back shorter and putting texture in that top with lots of choppiness.

AIR TRENDS THE SIDE PARTING A nod to the golden era of Hollywood, the side parting continues its resurgence in 2024. This versatile style effortlessly bridges the gap between classic and contemporary, offering a polished look suitable for various occasions. Perfect for those who want a refined appearance with a dash of nostalgia.

THE CREW CUT The ever-reliable crew cut maintains its stronghold as the epitome of sophistication. This clean, short style exudes confidence and practicality, making it a timeless choice for those who appreciate simplicity with a touch of refinement.

BLEACHED AND COLOURED BUZZ CUT For those who crave a bold statement, the bleached buzz cut is a daring choice that's making waves in 2024. This edgy look combines the rebellious nature of a buzz cut with the audacious flair of bleached hair. It's a style that demands attention and is perfect for those unafraid to push style boundaries.

TEXTURE I believe texture takes centre stage in 2024. Men seem to be embracing their natural curls and people with all lengths of hair are coming in asking for perms, as previously mentioned with the rock n roll hairstyle, people are going to be wanting texture and choppiness. I think pixie style haircuts will also trend. So grab yourself a good salt spray, matte clay or texture powder as these are going to be the best products to achieve these looks. From the classic crew cut to the daring charm of a bleached buzz cut, this year's trends will cater to a diverse range of tastes and personalities. So, whether you opt for timeless sophistication or embrace a bold new look, 2024 is the year to make a statement with your hair. Have you ever thought about a career in hair, well DNA barbering and education are starting NVQ level 3 fast track barbering courses in Wales, Manchester, Liverpool London and Surrey. HAIR CARE MYTHS DEBUNKED… CUTTING HAIR MAKES MY HAIR GROW FASTER. Cutting hair doesn't affect its growth rate, it simply helps prevent split ends and keeps the hair looking healthier. Sorry!

YOU MUST WASH YOUR HAIR EVERY DAY. Washing your hair daily can strip it of natural oils, so it's generally recommended to shampoo your hair every few days depending on hair type. YOU CAN REPAIR SPLIT ENDS. Nope! Once hair is split, it cannot be repaired. Trimming is the only effective way to get rid of split ends. NATURAL OILS ARE BAD FOR YOUR SCALP. Natural oils produced by your scalp are essential for hair health. Overwashing can strip away these oils, leading to dryness. HAIR LOSS IS ONLY GENETIC. Things like diet, stress, and certain medical conditions can contribute to hair loss, not just genetics. HAIR CAN BECOME IMMUNE TO A CERTAIN SHAMPOO. Your hair doesn't become immune, you may need to switch shampoos if your hair needs change due to weather, lifestyle, diet change etc. FREQUENT TRIMS MAKE HAIR GROW FASTER. Regular trims keep hair healthy but don't affect its growth rate. Hair growth occurs at the roots, not the tips. BARBER SPOTLIGHTS @cutthroat_don Gaz Curley is the owner of cutthroat jacks and founder of DNA barbering and education. He is also ambassador for Kiepe and Dense hair experts. Gaz works up and down the country educating barbers and most recently set up the Level 3 courses to run in Surrey. @blendedbyhimmat Himmat works out of hair studio 4 and does some amazing work. I love his content and his trims are always sharp and fresh! Go check him out.

DONATE TO CAUSES WHO HAVE A PROVEN TRACK RECORD While donating clothing is a common way to reduce personal waste, it's essential to understand that not all your donated items end up being sold - at least not by the shop you originally donated to. Instead, much of our secondhand clothing ends up in flea markets around the world. So much so, some African governments are trying to ban donations from Europe claiming it “amounts to dumping and undermines the growth of local textile industries.” Tip: I do a quick Google search of my chosen donation points, whether charity shops or high street store recycling schemes. Alternatively, I've donated to women's shelters in need of good quality items, and schools which could make use of the clothing in their art or theatre departments.

NISE YOUR WARDROBE UPCYCLING AND DIY PROJECTS Instead of discarding old clothes, consider up-cycling to give them a new life. Beginner friendly upcycling ideas could include the addition of embellishments like studs or using iron-on patches over splits in fabric, Alternatively, follow and get inspired daily by skilled creatives such as Nerrisa Pratt and Dani Dawks. Downcycling is also an option, turning a t-shirt into cleaning rags, stuffing for cushions, or even donating it as bedding to an animal shelter. Tip: I take a look at www.recyclenow. com for creative ideas on what is possible in and around Surrey.

COMPOSTING NATURAL FIBRES If you have any clothing made from natural, biodegradable fibres like 100% cotton or linen, did you know you can compost them? Make sure to remove any non-biodegradable components such as buttons and zips first, perhaps donating these items to a charity shop or local tailor. If you want to compost at home, cut the fabric into thin strips and bury it in a part of the garden which will not be touched for a long while whilst it breaks down. Tip: This kind of natural material is also ideal for remaking into children's clothing or toys and whilst I sadly don't have the skill, if you are handy

with a sewing machine, then make your own presents for loved ones or donate them to a charity!

RESALE AND SECONDHAND MARKETS Even if you no longer want them, clothes can still have value in the resale market. Consider selling your gently used clothes through online platforms such as Vinted and eBay, to extend their lifespan. Or, to avoid unnecessary C02 laden travel mileage on the items, why not book a spot

SURREYROCKS | ISSUE 29 111

at a local monthly car boot sale or sell on Facebook Marketplace instead. Tip: If you have clothing with plenty of life left in it you could try sharing it on the rental market via platforms such as By Rotation where people can hire your clothes by the day, week or month!

REPAIR AND MAINTAIN Regular maintenance and repairs can extend the life of your clothing and learning basic sewing skills or taking items to a tailor for small fixes can prevent premature disposal. The art of sashiko, or visible mending, is also ideal for those among us who are less adept with a needle and thread! Give Sewing Bee winner Annie Phillips a follow for more on this traditional artform. Tip: A fabulous resolution we could all make for 2024 is to learn some simple fixes by following YouTube videos. Alternatively, try out a tailoring app such as SOJO who will have your clothing picked up, fixed and delivered back to your door!

BUY WITH LONGEVITY IN MIND To minimise disposal in the first place, prioritise high-quality, timeless pieces that you'll wear for years. Avoid fast fashion trends and invest in durable, versatile items, ideally sourced from secondhand shops. Online preloved boutique Hardly Ever Worn It sells beautiful preloved designer wear online, or why not keep it local and try Surrey brands such as Fusspots in Oxted, Posh Dress Agency in Farnham and Spin Preloved in Horley. Tip: Before shopping, I like to research how a brand is supporting the fight against the climate crisis by using educational apps such as Good On You. This way, we can all ensure we only support ethical and sustainable fashion labels from the 5000+ brands reviewed.

EDUCATION For too many years I was unaware that textiles can be recycled, instead simply throwing clothes into the bin where, no doubt, they are still decomposing whilst throwing out poisonous toxins to this day. Educating yourself can be as simple as following the right people on social media and taking in the information they share. For daily inspiration, follow sustainable style advocates such as Scott Wimsett, Sophie Benson and Tiffanie

Tip: I find great inspiration by seeking out people who love to share their style in a sustainable way. Whether they thrift, swap, upcycle or shop their wardrobe for their daily looks, getting involved in the sustainable style community on apps such as Instagram and TikTok can be a huge source of inspiration! 2024 Horoscopes Your 2024 Astrology Forecast from Pia Louisa

Aries

Gemini

Leo

21 MAR – 20 APR

22 MAY – 21 JUNE

24 JULY – 23 AUG

This New Year is going to start with a fresh perspective, and a need to live independently with a stable income. You may be trying to strike a balance between your work and home life, giving all your energy to both areas. However, prioritising your ‘me’ time should also be just as high on your list. Furthermore, as the year moves on, you will start to embrace your logical and well-ordered mindset. You are now able to make firm and final decisions and are willing to face the consequences. Luckily for you, you’re able to keep in touch with your intuition too. Finally, towards the end of 2024, the hard work will begin. At this point, all the work on yourself will be done, and you can focus your attention outwards. Lucky month – December.

Your intellectual power will give you the best start possible this New Year, Gemini. You have a brilliant mind which will get you far in life. Use your intellect the best way you know how, and 2024 will be a smooth ride! However, in a few months’ time, you are likely to become restless once again and long for something new. It is important to listen to what your body is trying to tell you and allow your adventurous spirit to run wild. You’re not one to sit still for too long… By the end of the year, you will be looking to fulfil family traditions and find your place within the home. As much as you like to be free, structure is equally as important to you. Lucky month – November.

At the beginning of 2024, you are going to start with sorting people in your life who no longer serve you and drain the energy from you. You are a magnetic force and often attract people who aren’t a right fit. This is the time to be brutal and cut out the people you don’t feel happy around. Once summer arrives, your free spirit will take over and push you towards brand new experiences! This will be your moment to let loose and shake things up. Don’t hold back. Finally, as the year ends you will need to take some time to review your progress. This is the perfect time to reassess your priorities and make some decisions. Lucky month – May.

Taurus

Cancer

Virgo

21 APR – 20 MAY

22 JUNE – 23 JULY

24 AUG – SEPT 3

2023 hasn’t been the easiest year for you Taurus, and now it is all about building yourself up again. This is the time to search within yourself for the answers. You have plenty of inner resources, so don’t forget to look for them. As the summer arrives, you will have a newfound innocence about you, allowing you to embrace the season with fresh eyes. A big transformation would have occurred throughout the spring, leading to an exciting summer adventure. Don’t overthink anything; let life flow the way it wants to! Finally, as the year ends, forgiveness will be important to your happiness. Forgiving someone who has hurt you will be the only way to move on without any regrets. Lucky month – June.

Luxury is what you aspire to, and it’s what you will soon have, Cancerian! Luckily, you are already living comfortably and are able to delight in your home comforts. 2024 is going to start off gently and will allow you to ease into your year. Furthermore, as the year moves forward, you may be feeling stuck in the middle of two sides. You are a natural peacemaker, but in this case may be creating more tension by sitting on the fence. Two family members may come to you with conflicting feelings; however, they might take advantage of your kind nature and use you to dump their thoughts onto someone. Finally, the year will end surrounded by loved ones who only want the best for you. Lucky month – August.

A harmonious year is awaiting you, Virgo! You aren’t one to stress about the small things, and this trait is going to serve you well in the coming months. Embrace the peace in your life and live with love in your heart. You have a beautiful aura and will keep fighting for the life that you deserve, which will be truer than ever once summer starts. As a Virgo, you have a connection to the mystical realm and will be drawn to holistic practices, especially as a way of keeping the peace in your life. There will be moments of luxury to look forward to this year that will bring a comfortable energy to your life. Lucky month – March.

Libra

Sagittarius

Aquarius

24 SEPT – 23 OCT

23 NOV – 21 DEC

21 JAN – 19 FEB

The start of 2024 is going to bring big changes to your life, Libra. These aren’t changes to fear though. Embracing this transition will be your best bet at moving gracefully towards your next chapter. Once these changes have taken place, you will need to start to use your intuition more. By the summer, new people would have entered your life, and you must listen to your gut to figure out who’s actually worth holding onto. Trust your intuition, it will never steer you wrong. By the autumn, you will have gained a newfound power, but may be unsure how to use it. With power comes responsibility, therefore it is up to you to use it wisely. Lucky month – April.

You’re standing strong and not letting other people cloud your judgement, Sagittarius. You are aware of what’s going on around you but know that you must follow your own path. As the New Year arrives, your dynamic energy will be bigger than ever! Furthermore, as the year progresses, you’ll learn gratitude and will be better equipped to see the bright side when a situation doesn’t go your way. You may even start journalling in the summer. Writing lists of the things you’re grateful for will help you immensely. Finally, your compassionate nature will be in full force once the colder months draw in. You’re going to help the people around you find their way, which will in turn help you to feel better. Just remember to take care of yourself every now and then. Lucky month – January.

Drawing on your strength is going to be extremely important this New Year, Aquarius. You may have gone through a tough time recently, but things are changing. It’s likely you feel a bit beaten down though, which is understandable, therefore focussing your energy on your strengths should be high priority. As the year progresses, you may notice that the projects you have been working on haven’t turned out the way you hoped. It’s likely you thought they would lead to something bigger, but now realise you have taken the wrong approach. Reconnect with your original intention and find an alternative way to bring it to life. Finally, once the autumn arrives, it will be time to start trusting yourself again. Lucky month – February.

SCORPIO

Capricorn

Pisces

24 OCT – 22 NOV

22 DEC – 20 JAN

20 FEB – 20 MAR

This New Year will bring many pleasant changes to you, allowing abundance to take over. There will be obstacles on your path but try to rise above them and focus on all the amazing things going on. As the year moves forward, it will be time to think about your future and take a long-term look at your life. You don’t want to keep putting your heart and soul into something that you aren’t seeing rewards from. By now, you know that some parts of your life are energy-sappers, and summer 2024 will be the time to fix this. Finally, towards the end of the year, a painful ending is likely to occur. Don’t worry though, as it was meant to happen in order for you to move to better things. Lucky month – October.

You’re breaking a toxic cycle and moving towards a new and better chapter. This New Year, you are putting in the effort, Cap, to change parts of your life you feel have run their course. This conscious effort is going to lead to fabulous results! Furthermore, don’t let any self-limiting beliefs stop you from achieving your goals. You may go through a bit of a dip in the middle of the year, but this dip is all down to the negativity in your brain. Remember, sometimes our mind lies to us. Finally, towards the end of the year, you will see many changes taking place. This may lead to some tension for a while, but trust that the process is working, and that your goals will be achieved very soon. Lucky month – July.

It’s time to withdraw and take time for yourself, Pisces. You have been doing things for other people for far too long now. This New Year needs to be all about your priorities. Moving forward, it’s safe to say that 2024 will be a busy year for you, and by the summer, you will need to stop and relax. Exhaustion is likely to kick in at that point which will force you to take time off. It’s okay to take a break every now and then. Finally, as the autumn arrives, it will be time for you to move on from a previous experience that left you feeling down. You will find a way through this darker time and will eventually move into the light. Lucky month – September.

UB40 ALI CAMPBELL

We caught up with Ali Campbell, lead singer, songwriter and founding member of UB40, the English reggae band who have sold over 70 million records worldwide and toured the globe for 45 years with 50 UK Chart hits. Ali is embarking on his latest ‘Hits’ tour this April.

SO ALI, HOW DOES IT FEEL TO BE BACK? I originally left the band 15 years ago in 2008 so it feels great to be back again, fans are voting with their feet and wanting to hear all our music again, which is great. The influence of reggae on today’s music is huge. If you listen to grime, hiphop, drill, jungle, or drum and bass, so much of it has come from dub and dancehall. Reggae music is a perfect antidote to these dark times. It’s music that unifies. You might not change anything by singing about it, but you can at least travel the world and try to bring people together.

Funnily enough yes, it was underneath the washing machine and I shot it with an airgun. Astro popped round after and that’s how the track was penned. Most people automatically think it refers to Thatcherism in the eighties but it is because there was a big f*** off rat in my kitchen. Good question!

YOU ARE ALL FROM BIRMINGHAM, WERE YOU FRIENDS BEFORE YOU STARTED THE BAND? Yes we are the real deal! We were all friends, unemployed earning £7.90 a week for 3 years before UB40 started. I remember on my 17th birthday receiving £4000 for a criminal injury compensation – it was like I had won the lottery. I put some of that money into recording time in the studio and the rest is history.

WHAT WOULD YOU SAY IS YOUR GREATEST ACHIEVEMENT? My beautiful children - I have 8.

WHAT INSPIRES YOU WHEN WRITING SONGS? Love songs – my wife then I suppose I like to moan a lot so many of our protest lyrics come from that. HAVE YOU EVER FOUND A ‘RAT IN THE KITCHEN?’

124 SURREYROCKS | ISSUE 29

WHAT WOULD YOU SAY IS YOUR BIGGEST CROWD PLEASER OR WHAT DO YOU AND THE BOYS ENJOY PERFORMING THE MOST? ‘Red Red Wine’ or ‘I Can’t Help Falling In Love’ are belters.

BEST ADVICE YOU’VE EVER BEEN GIVEN? To live the life you love and to love the life you live. WORST HABIT? Being lazy. Not on tour though but when I get back I’m a proper coach potato. I love to relax and chill. I’m lucky I don’t have to do a 9-5 job. WHAT DID YOU WANT TO BE GROWING UP? Always a singer. I used to pretend to be Michael Jackson in the Jackson 5 in the playground as I was the same age as him. I used to hit all the high notes… until my balls dropped!

WHAT ACTOR WOULD PLAY YOU IN THE MOVIE VERSION OF YOUR LIFE? James Cagney (if he was alive). MOST EMBARRASSING ITEM IN YOUR WARDROBE? My kilt. WHAT COULDN'T WITHOUT? Reggae music.

YOU

LIVE

IF YOU COULD ONLY TAKE 3 THINGS TO A DESERT ISLAND WHAT WOULD THEY BE AND WHY? A solar torch/radio, fire starters and a large machete. IF SOMEONE ASKED TO BE YOUR APPRENTICE AND LEARN ALL THAT YOU KNOW, WHAT WOULD YOU TEACH THEM? How to sing, play the rhythm guitar and drums. WHAT DO YOU DO TO RELAX? Smoke weed.

That’s very honest of you, thank you Ali! You can catch UB40’s Ali who is embarking on his latest ‘Hits’ tour this April, hitting the O2 on Thursday 11th April.

Total Real-AXE-ation for all the Family When you are looking around for things to do with the kids at Christmas, after you’ve exhausted the usual list of suggestions Go karting, Laser quest, Winter Wonderland, Paintball, Cinema, Pantomime and you still can’t get them away from their X-box or Play stations’…well perhaps now I may have another idea that just might. ‘Axe Throwing’ may not be the first thing that comes to mind when planning a family day out but then again, when has there ever been a venue that’s local and well run, that has advertised such an activity. Well, The Holroyd Arms, In Guildford are now offering such a service, with their highly enjoyable ‘We are MAXESIVE’ experience. So not wanting to miss out on such an opportunity to drag my two teenage kids out ‘Kicking and screaming, On a cold miserable winter Wednesday evening recently I dually obliged! The pub itself has been completely refurbished and transformed by owners Andy and Lisa, with a fantastic, refitted stage and sound system and open bar area inside. Outside, where the ‘Axe Throwing’ takes place, it is beautifully lit up and Andy is there already waiting for us to go through the safety procedure. After signing the waiver and we got to grips (literally) with the technique and my two siblings happily while away the next hour, lobbing axes to their hearts content at the circular wooden targets. The scoring system was easy, 2 points for inside the blue ring, 3 points for the black, 5 points for a bullseye plus a bonus of 10 points if you hit the two red dots outside each circle. Well, rediscovering my inner Viking was a total joy, there is something hugely satisfying about the sound of metal splitting wood. After we finished and ‘Daddy’ showed his siblings, just who was boss, it was time for ‘Burgers and Chips’ already pre-ordered and waiting for us inside. And of course, although no drinking is allowed before or during the activity, it is a pub after all, so there was also a well-deserved victory pint for the ‘Winning Axe Wielding Warrior of Worplesdon’ I highly recommend this activity for family, friends, Christmas work do or just for taking the mother-in-law out… Andy tells me they are also opening some enclosed ‘Rage Rooms’ soon as well, where you can smash up, Glass and electrical items of your choice, now that does sound like fun for a ‘Dry January’ festive hangover!

RE-SET YOUR HOME THIS JANUARY Discover low-effort, high-impact projects from BoConcept’s interior designers to spruce up your home for the new year.

A new year allows for a new outlook, and that often includes a rethink of our homes. It’s the perfect time to consider a refresh of your home for the year ahead. After a busy year and festive season, taking time in January to look at and evaluate our spaces can be done in a number of ways, from decluttering and organisation to adding personal touches and new zones to your home. With the expert guidance of BoConcept’s interior design service, discover a few ways to make a space feel new.

CR EAT E A R ELAX I N G R EAD I N G C O R N ER

“A well-designed reading corner offers several benefits for your space, including relaxation, opportunity for reading or family time, plus it can elevate the overall aesthetics of your interior”, says Interior Stylist Signe Kok Nielsen. “I recommend making it personal by selecting the right chair for you – for cocooning comfort try the Bolzano, or if you prefer straighter lines, Modena is a stylishly comfortable option. Then you can add a little bookshelf for your favourite books, artwork you like and a side table and reading lamp. A rug is an effective way to zone your area. Then you have created a meaningful area for your home.” RE - S T Y LE A C O FFEE TAB LE

“Restyling a coffee table is a great way to freshen up a space. They are typically in the centre of the room so are often a focal point and immediately draw the eye”, says Visual Merchandising Manager Kalina Todorova. “Make sure you have items of different heights – perhaps a collection of books, a candle, and some fresh flowers. A good way to keep coffee table styling neat and avoid clutter is to use a tray or a book to compile

objects onto”, she suggests. New coffee table books are cheaper than art and can add a lot to a space, too. C R EAT E A G AL L ERY WALL

Lastly, a gallery wall is a great addition to your space. “It can transform the look and feel of a room without the need for major renovations”, says Nielsen. “It also infuses your home with personality because you personally select different frames, pictures, photos or paintings. A gallery wall gives your space real individuality and soul. It’s also a fun creative project curating all the elements, seeing how they work together and then combining them in an organised grid for your wall.”
