Let’s Explore! Access to the popular Tissington Trail sits at the entrance to the park and is enjoyed by cyclists and those who love walking. Enjoy 13 miles of traffic-free trail which follows the former Buxton to Ashbourne railway. Should you only fancy a short stroll the trail is perfect too, there are plenty of information points and picnic areas to enjoy. The bustling market town of Ashbourne filled with historic buildings, good quality shops, restaurants and bars sits only 3 miles from the park. Other local attractions include Chatsworth House, Carsington Water and The Heights of Abraham cable cars, caverns and Hilltop Park are only a short drive from the park.

Alton Towers, one of Britain’s biggest theme parks is within easy reach of the park. You can be sure of a day of excitement, laughter and fun day out for all. Canoeing, caving, horse riding & quad trekking are close by too.
