Little White Lies “Because movies don’t exist in a vacuum, we venture beyond the boundaries of the big screen, exploring the worlds of music, art, politics and pop culture to inform and illuminate the medium we love. Bold, beautiful and unique, LWLies is a magazine on a mission – to reshape the debate across the movie landscape.” Little White Lies is a bi-monthly film magazine, each issue is themed around a single film featured on the cover, inspiring the design and editorial of the entire issue. Working in parallel with the style and demographic of this magazine we propose an event that celebrates British Film Culture, presenting films in an exciting and truly British cinema, whilst being served quirky ice creams and sorbets. We present the Truth and Movies Event.

Advertising Advertising is essential when launching The Truth and Movies event. Being a subsidiary to Aubin and Wills, the Aubin cinema has a significant amount of brand awareness, being considerably larger in terms of public awareness in comparison to Little White Lies, Booth Nation and Jude’s Ice-cream, advertising on the cinema’s website is essential. Another popular way of advertising is via the Don’t Panic Packs - a unique free publication found in selected independent shops, bars, universities and art spaces throughout London. We will be distributing flyers advertising the event to be available in Don’t Panic Packs. XPT projectors in the underground are also a successful way to gain awareness to members of the public who are unaware of the Little White Lies brand. We will be playing a series of advertisements at specified times during the day at various tube stations. A specially commisioned cover illustration will be used for the May/June issue of Little White Lies magazine to promote the event. Flyers will be handed out around the Shoreditch area and inside the cinema itself to further promote the event.
