Conceived by SPAP as part of its Smart City Pro-bono Initiative, Pune City Urban Gallery, can be one of the first of its kind to be developed under PPP model, meant to tell the story of Pune’s development through both permanent and changing exhibitions, including a 2000 sq.ft model of City of Pune.
The story on Pune will begin from the entrance through interactive exhibits displayed in the “People’s street”. The 40,000 sq.ft program for the gallery will consist of a permanent gallery showing scale model of Pune city, various planning exhibits, past and future urban planning initiatives, an exhibition space for hire, a cafeteria, visitor center with souvenir shop and a mission control room to monitor ICT through situation/war room.
The Gallery will be complimented with Skills University centered on an “oval shaped urban plaza” which becomes the place for people to gather, share, interact and enjoy.
