Letter from the Governor Hey Southwest Southbest! I am very excited to work with you all this year and to serve as your Governor. Here are a few quick facts about me, I am currently a sophomore in Mechanical Engineering at ASU, I am originally from Idaho, and I have been in the Kiwanis Family for four years now. I hope everyone is doing well, and while many events have been canceled that we can still have a fantastic service year. The district board has already been hard at work in response to COVID-19. This year's district board had their terms quickly flipped upside down with everything that is happening around us, and they have all done an amazing job to adapt to the situation and find new ways for us to continue to operate and to serve our members. All of our training has now been moved online for both the District Board and Club boards will be trained within the next month so that we can continue to serve the distinct to the best of our abilities. Last year's DLSSP was postponed and we are working hard to find new possible dates and locations for the event; as well as, planning the events for this upcoming school year. Circle K International has decided to cancel the in-person CKIX planned for Las Vegas Nevada, and is working to move the event online so that we can all still attend in some way. Our board will continue to work to find the solutions the district needs for the circumstances that we are in, as well as to find ways to continue to serve our community this next year, and I hope you are all still finding ways to stay connected and perform service within your local communities.I am excited to meet you all this next year, and see you at our future district events!

Note from the Bulletin Editor

Hi everyone! As some of you already know, I am Lauren Vargas. I am your new district Bulletin Editor, and I am so excited for this year. We have started off this CKI year a bit more interesting, but I know we can get through it. Now, more than ever, I want to make sure that I am keeping the clubs updated and in the know. In this edition, I recap DCON, update on CKIx, and lay out who the new board is for this year.

CKIx 2020

Unfortunately, the in-person event has been cancelled and CKIx will not be held in Las Vegas, Nevada anymore. Instead, it will be held online! The details of which are still being figured out. Keep an eye out on social media for future updates. While we can't meet in person, the online convention is still something to look forward to, get involved in and vote for next year's international board!

CKIx 2019 Walt Disney Resort Florida In reminiscing in the past, we had 13 members go to CKIx 2019.

DCON 2020 Tucson, Arizona Service is out there! DCON this year was at the end of March. There was so much fun with impromptu hair dying sessions, clean ups and the elections of the new board!

Thank you to last year's board for being so amazing and making last year truly special
