Fiona Bolt, director of Cameron Jones Financial Management, talks to us about supporting businesses in difficult times

The financial services sector has found itself busy during the pandemic, with accountants and financial advisors in particular providing muchneeded support to their business and private clients.
Fiona Bolt, sponsor of the 2020 Successful Women Reinvention Award, and her team worked hard throughout lockdown to make sure their clients and local community in Exmouth had all the advice they needed.
Fiona says: “I think this experience has shown us how important it is to create a plan, which can be reviewed and adapted, if necessary, to protect our financial situation. Life does sometimes throw up lemons and being prepared financially can reduce stress when facing times like this. I am so pleased that I’ve been able to support so many clients during such an unprecedented time.”
Fiona is a member of the Society of Later Life Advisors and she specialises in advising people during the later stages of their life journey. This could be the transition into retirement where Cash Flow modelling can be used to show monies will never run out, or helping elderly clients and their families explore options for paying for care.
She says: “I’m all about working with my clients to help them find their financial freedom. Helping them to make choices to bring their goals and dreams to reality is immensely satisfying. It’s why I love what I do. Financial management can be a stress point for so many people, and can be intertwined into numerous life events such as death, divorce, children leaving home and retirement. My aim is to be a guide and to simplify complex matters for my clients.”
Pensions are one of Fiona’s main passions and her presentation is very popular at #swibtribe events across the south west.
On her sponsorship of the Reinvention Award, Fiona says: “Changing tack in our work journeys later in life is a daunting prospect. I’ve been so impressed with the stories of all the nominees in this award. They show remarkable drive, resilience and inspiration to others. There is no stopping women on a mission to make the best of their careers, regardless of age!”
