Wood Working -----Bending Wood With The Kerf-cutting Step 1: Prepare wood (Coastal Blackbutt)

Prepare timber slabs that has been cut to a thickness of 100mm Connect to the ceiling

Connect to the ceiling Step 2: Mark lines and make cuts

Use saw to cut notches with 2/3 of the thickness of the wood. The kerfs are located on the inside of the curve you are attempting to fashion. Step 3: Set up form Plan the desired curve shape on the wooden board, then choose 3-4 points on the curve line.

Step 4: Create shape Compress the ends of the wood to push the gaps created by to notches together, use wood glue to filling the gaps, put it to the wooden board,wait until the glue is completly dry. Step 5: Result In order to better hide the cutting marks, lightly polish the surface.
