…and so it is with the wonderful game of golf.

Welcome readers to the debut issue of “Swingtime Golf Travel”, a unique golf travel magazine that takes you with one swing on a journey to the world. This publication is very dear to my heart in that it is a combination of two of my great passions: Golf and Travel. Both have afforded me the uncountable blessings of seeing and discovering the world, and in so doing meeting the most amazing people with many who have become friends. Just on a recent trip from Singapore (where I experienced the F1 night race, a thrilling event) I happen to be seated next to Miss Russia and her agent, 2 very fascinating individuals who too have travelled widely. The immeasurable gift of travelling is that you never know whom you will meet on your journey and so it has been with Swingtime.

This magazine is the pinnacle of achievements by Swingtime in the last 2 years. The Swingtime Golf Travel magazine will showcase to you the world. Many of the destinations featured in this issue I myself have travelled to, embarking on my own voyages of discovery. I can well vouch that each has been as individual and charismatic in their own right, weaving its special magic over my senses, and are still fondly recalled to this day. To have played golf in these countries has been an experience and journey of its own. From the UK to Spain to South Africa, Switzerland and Mauritius, each golf course was a challenge and a delight and for the golf traveller, places you without a doubt simply must visit.

From my own travels upon my return people always ask, “How was the food?” and this too is also an integral part of one’s journey, so intimately wrapped up in your memories. Swingtime Golf Travel will not only introduce to you the best places to visit but also the very best in dining and restaurants. “Die Fischerzunft” by Andre Jeager and “Strauss” by Roland Häusermann in Switzerland have become fi rm favourites of Swingtime Golf Travel. To truly understand a city and its people is to delve into its culture and heritage. Walking the streets of St. Petersberg in Russia was like living through a dream surrounded by the splendour of breathtaking art and architecture.

Sometimes a visit is not enough, and a destination must become a part of you. We shall endeavour to bring you interesting and exciting property and investment opportunities that will capture not only your desire for travel, but your imagination as well. Our regular features will bring you helpful and useful travel advice. In this issue we talk the practicalities of golf travel bags and Golf Travel Insurance, both one simply should not overlook on your journey to your dream golf holiday.

We hope that our magazine will be enthusiastically embraced by golfers, holiday makers, families and everyone who has yearned to see the world. My deepest thanks go to the Swingtime Golf Travel Team, who laboured to realize my vision.

To our readers, keep a look out for the Swingtime Golf Travel Team, visiting your corner of the globe.
