Welcome to the Canadian Central Simmental & Angus and Prairie Gateway Speckle Park Bull and Female Sale, March 6, 2023, Neepawa, Manitoba. This event is a unique combination of the three most sought after breeds in the livestock industry and is offered on one complete shopping day. These leading breeders own and operate moderate size breeding units but do not have enough bulls to sustain a stand-alone event but combined offer a diverse and strong group of bulls and females for your evaluation.

The Simmental portion of the sale is made up of Red and Black presented by Wilcox Livestock,Twin Oak Livestock and Twin Meadow. Rugged and full of performance yet having optimal birth weights, these youngsters are sired by breed leading sires which will add value to your calves at weaning and you will want to retain the daughters for your replacement pastures. Twin Meadow adds the Fullblood dimension with polled Fullbloods and rounds out a strong Simmental offering suitable for all types of breeding programs and budgets.

BASKM Land & Cattle, the Ginter Family, present the Angus component… rugged two-year-olds by the most popular and predictable sires that have made the Angus breed great. These two’s will cover lots of cows, bigger cows and will work in any type of terrain.

The Speckle Park breed has been very exciting and rapidly growing worldwide. Wilcox Livestock, Calico Creek and Skye Line Farms have put together quite an offering of two-year-old and yearling prospects. Calving ease bulls that are easy keeping and have out standing carcass values. In addition to the bulls and the semen package, a fancy group of yearling heifers top off this exciting offering.

March 6th is opportunity day in Neepawa to enhance your breeding requirements. We are going to start off our selection with a group of four off age ET calves that were born and raised in Steve and Austin Wytinck’s commercial beef herd. Jack is an extremely stout made, moderate sized bull, who is built a lot like his sire. His dam is also an ET calf off our great Jasmine cow.

Keith is out of a first calf heifer. Keith is soggy in his make up with lots of depth of body. Keith’s sire, Revenue was purchased by Twin Meadow Livestock as a high selling bull from Fairview Simmentals. He’s a homo polled, non diluter fullblood bull. His first calf crop has really developed into good looking cattle. We appreciate the look of the Revenue bull and his overall mass that he has in a homo polled package which we believe is hard to do. Keith’s dam is another ET female out of our great Jasmine female that we have high hopes for. One thing we regret is flushing her so late in her life.

Knight’s a red polled moderately framed bull that follows in his sire footprints. You need to admire him for his wide top, big barrelled body and nature muscling that carried down deep into his hocks. He comes with an 88 pound birth weight. He’s one of the first bull to sell off our new herd sire NGDB Rock 2H, who has impressive EPD.

TERMS:

The terms of the sale are cash or cheque, payable at par at the sale location. The right of property shall not pass until after settlement has been made; no invoicing on buyers in attendance, unless previous arrangements have been made. Every animal sells to the highest bidder and in cases of disputes, the auctioneer’s decision will be final. Current exchange rates will be announced sale day. All monies are in Canadian funds.

BIDDING:

Each animal will sell to the highest bidder... no by-bidding will be permitted. Disputes - Bidding will be reopened between the parties involved in dispute. If no further bidding is made, the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid. The auctioneer’s decision on all disputes will be final.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

All announcements made from the auction block will take precedence over the printed matter in the catalogue. Buyers are therefore cautioned to pay close attention to such disclosures.

BREEDER’S GUARANTEE:

Should any bull fourteen (14) months of age or over fail to prove a breeder after being used on females known to be breeders, the matter shall be reported in writing to the seller within six (6) months following the date of purchase or six (6) months after the bull has reached fourteen (14) months of age. The seller will have the right and privilege of six (6) months to prove the bull a breeder. No guarantee is given that semen collected from the bull will freeze.

EXCEPTION GUARANTEE:

In cases where the animal is subjected to any hormonal or surgical reproduction techniques after the sale, this guarantee shall be null and void.

CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRATION:

Each animal will carry papers issued by their breed association unless otherwise stated. A certificate of registry duly transferred will be furnished to the buyer for each animal after payment has been made.

PEDIGREE ESTIMATES:

Pedigree Estimates (PE) are created on the projected mating of the animal’s sire and dam based on averages of the two, creating estimated values that do not hold the same accuracy of actual EPDs issued from the association and should be used as such.

LIABILITIES:

All persons attend the sale at their own risk. The seller, facility owner and sale manager assume no liability, legal or otherwise, for any accidents that occur. It is understood that T Bar C Cattle Co. (2013) Ltd. is acting only as a medium between buyer and seller and is not responsible for any failure on the part of either party to live up to his obligations. Neither does T Bar C Cattle Co. (2013) Ltd. assume any financial obligations to collect or enforce collection of any monies between parties and any legal action that may in exceptional cases be taken must be between the buyer and the seller.
